Question: What goes into your posting/writing method and what do you do to re-ignite the muse?
Mostly, it's just a matter of time. I usually write a post three times before I post it, going back and forth over alternative approaches and asking myself if there isn't a better way of telling the story that I want to tell. But also, just coming up with the story I want to tell can take me a bit.
Question: Do you draw inspiration from any characters outside of the Chaos universe for your own OC's?
All the time. Micah's physical appearance has always been based on WilyKat from the ThunderCats (the first version was based on 2011 series and the current the 1985 series). Boo Chiyo's personality was based on Killua Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter. Zak Dymo borrowed a lot of his personality from Sora as depicted in Kingdom Hearts 1.
Question : Do you have any big story arcs planned in 2025?
Unfortunately, no. As a working single parent, it's a challenge for me to find the time to carve out for this hobby. I feel rushed to just stay current on a few threads and get replies out when I need to.
Question: What's your favorite Star Wars movie (and why is it the Holiday Special?)
The Holiday Special is the pinnacle of Star Wars storytelling and I will not accept any claims to the contrary.
Question for the winner: What role, if any, does music play in your writing process? Example: are you the type to create character playlists, can you write with music on that has lyrics or do you need instrumental, etc? That kinda thing.
Music governs pretty much every aspect. I have a song associated with every character and I need to be able to vibe with that sound in order to really bring out the character in the writing. Otherwise it just feels like I'm phoning it in.
If you’re character was in a different major faction, which would it be and why?
Probably Dark Empire or Empire of the Lord because the Imperial vibes would mesh well with Micah's personality.
Question: What is your characters ideal retirement plan, what I mean is where do you see them at the end of their run?
In a white Imperial uniform, as a director, overseeing some major project. Someplace in the shadows where he can manipulate things.
Question: If you were in a martial arts movie what would your fighting style be?
Southern Tiger (Shaolin/Wu Shu)
Question: What's your character's biggest shortcoming?
His lack of empathy. He sorts everyone into the category of either predator or prey, missing a lot of nuance and dismissing a lot of people's potential.
Question for the winner: Has your character ever betrayed their ideals or considered doing so?
Micah is a pragmatist, so idealism in itself doesn't hold a lot of value to him.
