Congratulations to our new Character of the Month winner

Jenn Kryze Jenn Kryze !!!

Thanks to everyone who voted, it was solid race.

Here are the questions for our winner to answer from everyone:
OOC, What's your favorite quirk about your character that you don't get to use very often?

Question: How does your character typically dress, and why?

My Q would be: "what is something you wish everyone knew about your character?"

What is your favourite piece of jewellery?

Question: what is your characters current goal?

What's next?

Q: What are your character's goals/dreams?

My question: if Pal had a pet name for his favorite blaster, what would it be?

Hooting, hollering, and pumping my first before such news! Thank you everyone for the votes and the congratulations! Way to brighten my day, kehehe. Now! I do believe I owe some replies.

Q: OOC, What's your favorite quirk about your character that you don't get to use very often?
A: Probably her oceanic nature? Or, hell, expressing her struggles with her grasp of the culture of her species in general. It's not something that easily comes up during roleplay, with the exception of her people's hypnotic song (which she struggles not to slip into her normal voice at times), which is a bit of a shame, but there's already so much going on with the character - having to address the cultural identity of a Mandalorian and its complexities is already a lot without taking into account what the Ersansyr at large are known for and how she finds herself somewhat envying them for their people-skills. Speaking of which, a huge shout out to AMCO AMCO for coming up with the species in the first place!

Q: How does your character typically dress, and why?
A: Unsurprisingly, Jenn is usually found in her armor, though there are many reasons for her hesitancy to shed beskar in favor of clothing. She remains a Mandalorian at heart, and proud of her heritage; wearing the ancient suit of armor bestowed upon her after centuries of use is another way of proudly declaring to the world "I am a child of Mandalore". Another reason is in the realm of practicality; any would-be assassin will have a much tougher job if she always walks about in a suit of armour that durable. Just as well, it represents a way for her to avoid confronting her own dysphoria, still lingering years later... and, lastly, it feeds into her legend - as do the additions of a toga atop the armour and a crown of laurels more recently. If the Galaxy knows her by the pitiless "visage" of her helm, then she becomes something more than a woman, but a concept.

Q: What is something you wish everyone knew about your character?
A: The struggle she experiences with power and its allure. She was humble, once, back in those days when she contented herself with smithing for the Mandalorian Enclave, and she only cared to rise up from that contented existence when nobody spoke out against the Crusade. But, as a certain Haliat Kryze Haliat Kryze pointed out, the long and bloody history of the Galaxy has more than one despot who made a grand show of taking power only by necessity and with great reluctance. So far, she is holding true to her ideals, and it can be a difficult balancing act for me to remain true to the character and her moral alignment whilst also teasing the way power is affecting her, so I tend to make her lapses or overreaches small, and that doesn't quite grab everyone's attention when they have to read between the lines rather than having it plainly stated.

Q: What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
A: I'm a fairly modest gal when it comes to jewelry. A simple bracelet of beads is as far as I've accessorized thus far, though I dream of getting my ears pierced and trying on some earrings. Jenn, for her part, is fond of necklaces.

Q: What is your character's current goal?
A: As if there only ever was the one, ha! If I had to name one in particular, though, it would have to be her great efforts towards the formation of a strong order of chivalrous warriors to serve as her knights of the round table, and a guiding beacon to her people. An example of what Mandalorians can do, when they make themselves a shield to the innocent, the weak, and the helpless. Naturally, it's a difficult proposition at the best of times, but Jenn is nothing if not determined.

Q: What are your character's dreams?
A: Seeing her cherished daughter Varys Amun Varys Amun happy and fulfilled, forming a lasting relationship with Jonyna Si Jonyna Si , building a family of her own... and dying with the certitude that her legacy of defiant kindness will endure through the actions of Clan House Kryze.

Q: What's next?
A: More blood, more ashes, and choices thrust upon her that will decide the future of Onderon, House Kryze, and the Mandalorian people as a whole. Occasionally broken up by lovely afternoons sharing tea with royalty while gossiping, and dates with her new girlfriend.
