The Hapan Royal Navy previously had only had Star Destroyers hijacked from other factions, such as the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Until recently, it didn't have any such ships of their own, let alone uniquely designed with Hapan cultural aesthetics and combat sensibilities. The Charubah-class Destroyer is a new ship-of-the-line designed to address this shortfall in Hapan naval power. Intended to serve as the new capital ships in the Hapan Royal Navy, they'll be used to lead the Battle Dragons into the fray of open naval warfare, tearing into opposing fleets with the brutality the Royal Navy is reputed for.
- Intent: The creation of a new and uniquely Hapan destroyer which can compete with Star Destroyers of other factions

- Wide spectrum long-range sensor suite designed to keep its CIC fully informed of a combat situation as it evolves over time
- Hangar bay capable of supporting a modest fighter and support ship complement as well as tractor beams to capture smaller ships
- Wide variety of weapons ranging from ballistic missile tubes which fire proton torpedoes, ion torpedoes, and strategic warheads, heavy Hapan-made ion cannon batteries designed to devastate shielding and electronics, and a relatively modest bank of turbolasers to pound ships in range into submission.
- Long range turbolasers are installed to hit targets beyond most other ships' weapon system's standard reach.

- Designed to compete with Star Destroyers, even down to its very size, the Charubah-class Destroyer is a heavily armed and able to slug it out with ships comparable to its size and most smaller ships.
- Can touch ships further away with a limited number of turbolasers.
- Despite having point defense lasers, it shares its main weakness with other large destroyers to small, one-pilot bombers loaded with proton bombs
- The long-range turbolasers have a high-power drain such that the lights onboard the ship will dim each time the banks fire.
