During the events of the “Night of Truth,” not only a group of soldiers attempted to carry out a coup, but also those who were not just soldiers. There was also a group of people in the Wardens of the Shroud who preferred their own power and did not want to destroy the Force because that would have lost their power and influence. So they allied against Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe and stood on the side of the coup.

Of course, the coup was crushed, but countless people escaped from the Eternal Truth. Since Eclipse Rebellion didn’t help them in the end, they were left to fend for themselves and had to thrive alone. Since then, there has been a drive hunt for the men of the Eternal Truth. Since then, the investigation has taken place on several planets, and countless bases and areas have been examined, with little success. However, the breakthrough finally happened a few days ago.

On the planet Endor, through its informants and agents, Blackwatch successfully acquired a coordinate where several people were said to have seen movement and organization. Close to the edge of the Galaxy in a place where not much was found. In the system where the coordinates led, there was no planet, just an asteroid zone, one of the larger pieces of which contained an old, abandoned military station.

And the coordinates and the information received were directed to the Wardens to this very place that some of the people of the Eternal Truth are at this base.

OOC: For Loyalists and Warden members, but if there is one of the Rebels who would be happy to look for Eternal Truth members who also act against them, you can come safely.

Memories of the New Beginnings weren’t much for Rath, but that was mainly due to the fact the only thing Rath cared about was he found his old teacher, Ta’kir had left without so much as a word. Instead Ta’kir had used the chaos to run away and cast off the Empire’s shadows. To many, including Rath, Ta’kir’s action was that of cowardice and betrayal. On the other side of the token, Rath hoped to learn the truth of what made Ta’kir chose to leave. Whether those coordinates held truth of Ta’kir’s location remained to be seen, but as a Warden Rath needed to investigate possible leads to his old teacher.

At that moment Rath was aboard a small cruiser that had the Eternal Empire’s logo on the hull. Of course he was accompanied by others, as this was the interest of both Wardens and Loyalists alike. Rath came under the guise of some soldier that added manpower in the case they needed it. That was the unfortunate part of Rath’s current situation as he hadn’t made his Aegis just yet. It was near completion of course, but constructing it had been a hassle to finish.

As the military station came into view from the cockpit’s perspective, Rath scanned with his eyes for any possible entrance. From the outside the station appeared empty, but looks could be deceiving as Rath learned a long time ago. Rath wasn’t the one piloting the ship however, that would be Amanda Blight, a Loyalist human with short blonde hair pulled tight under a barret.

“I see a hangar over there, but I don’t see an airlock around the entrance.” Rath pointed out to the pilot as there was indeed a notable size hangar that seemed to have been constructed within the asteroid rock. Normally it would have played tricks to the eyes if they weren’t so close to it.

”Power could be out, but you at least shouldn’t have a problem for a little while. That armor at least allows you to breathe.” Amanda commented, and while Rath wouldn’t doubt that was the case it made him think of a possible course of action.

“Which means we’ll have to escort one of the power droids to the power generator and get it running long enough for us to extract any information from the terminals.” They concluded that was likely what was going to happen, and Rath stood up from the passenger’s seat before he made his way to the mechanic’s room. Amanda steered the ship with the expertise and deft guidance as she landed into the hangar. What they couldn’t see from the outside was a dim flash of red light that winks on occasion. Off to the north was a closed door of durasteel, and it even had a combination pad next to the door.

Ingrid arrived at the station on another ship that exited hyperspace a few moments later, far enough away from the other ship. It was a little bigger because the woman arrived with the Dyadalmash. This ship was the flagship of House L’lerim and also part of the Eternal Fleet. She could have arrived by a smaller ship, but it was an Imperial affair, she could not be so weak here. Who knows when the Eternal Truth fleet will also arrive, provided they still have such ships left. She could never know.

She was immediately curious as to whether anything could be perceived from the base, but the place was quite interesting in that respect. Due to the metallic nature of the asteroid, the sensors were unable to determine if there was life at the base. Unlike the other ship, they came from the other side of the solar system, so they found a place on the other side of the asteroid where there was an airlock that worked, so they could land there without any difficulty. Since the woman did not want a large number of troops, she only wanted to take ten soldiers with her. Meanwhile, she opened a comm. channel in the direction of the other ship.

<”Captain Blight, welcome, this is the Overlord. On the opposite side of the asteroid is an airlock that visibly works. If you think so try to penetrate the base in this section. As for me, I’m going to the base in person with a ten-man escort to take part in the reconnaissance as well.”>

This was important enough to be personally involved in the task. She maintained the line of communication and transferred it to her OmnLink and then walked down to the dropship in the hangar to take her and her men to the station. She hoped they would also find some clue as to where the Emperor had gone. Maybe the two things were related. The Overlord was confident that this would be revealed soon…

As Amanda heard the Overlord's voice on the communications, the pilot almost tightened her grip on the controls of the ship. The same starstruck nervousness of someone they looked up to briefly overwhelmed the pilot. Even so she listened to the Overlord's order, and Captain Blight absently nodded in confirmation.

"Copy that my Lord." Amanda acknowledged, and as she turned the communications to mute so that she could relay the information over to Rath. That he knew that the power was working on the other side, Rath was curious as to why their side had no power. The reason didn't matter as Amanda took her ship out of the unpowered hangar and steered the vessel around the asteroid. It took a few minutes before Amanda parked her ship in a docking bay next to the Overlord's.

"I'll keep the engine warm in case we need to leave as soon as possible. The Overlord has already entered the station, but I still urge you to be careful. Who knows what these people left behind." Amanda expressed to Rath as he still had his helmet on. Granted he no longer needed the power droid, so he planned to simply follow-up with the Overlord and her crew. The young soldier, and Initiate, disembarked from the vessel and even though Rath wasn’t putting a lot of weight behind his steps. The armor alone made its presence known as he held the rifle against his shoulders with the barrel pointed ahead of him. He cautiously moved around the corners in the case of hostilities.

Fortunately, there weren't any. That didn’t ease the grim feeling that Rath had regarding this station. Rath’s sense of the Force is a bit odd, he would feel the presence of the Force, but he would also be unable to determine whether it is the dark side or the light side until he smells it. Currently it just felt like something was crawling along his skin under the armor. To Rath it meant that the Force was strong within the station, and that begged the question as to what generated this presence.

Eventually, Rath came upon what would be best described as the barren remains of sleeping quarters. Which essentially was a large room as some metal frames could be spotted along the floor. The perfect size for a bunk bed mattress to rest on, but otherwise there was virtually nothing in the room save for a closed durasteel door on the opposite side from Rath. It always took some effort, but Rath took this moment to blend his connection to the Force with the environment. Effectively he screened his presence from being detected through the Force.

A new trick of Rath’s, but this mission would be the first time Rath attempted on the field. Either way, Rath made his way over to the closed door. To which responded upon his approach by opening to reveal a functional small room where people took showers and such. However what drew his attention was the slumped body in a shower stall, a bothan with blood soaked within the incredibly dried fur. The body looked like it had been sitting there for a while, and the bothan was garbed in a long sleeved white shirt of synfleece and grey pants. On his belt was an empty holster of where a blaster normally would be, and yet as Rath scanned the room there wasn’t any sign of a blaster nor a gunfight.

Rath kept his gun trained at the body as Rath nudged the bothan’s foot with his own, yet Rath had also positioned his foot in the case the bothan lunged at him it would effectively kick the corpse down. Thankfully it was just a corpse as the body felt so stiff, it felt like it was drained of fluid. Like a dried husk as it were. Rath examined the corpse yet he couldn’t find any wounds on the body that would determine the cause of death. From the dried blood that seemed to have oozed from the mouth, nostrils, eyes, and ears Rath had an indication that poison might have been involved. That was his theory however, and the soldier merely straightened himself with a rifle in hand. Where he proceeded to leave the room as he attempted to catch up to the Overlord. Little did he know that the body simply vanished when he left the room.

A strange feeling came up to Ismael. It has been a while since he got accepted as the apprentice of Ingrid. And it was the first time for him, going on a mission. Guess there is a first time for everything. He stood right next to her, as she spoke communicated through the help of comlinks. The strange feeling that crawled up his spine got more intense, the more they closed up the gap between the ship and the Military Station. Of course, he tried to hide it, it just wouldn't look good, if the apprentice would feel uneasy. It would lead to Ingrid maybe suggesting Ismael to remain on the ship. He certainly didn't want that to happen. As the ship entered the station and everybody geared up to get out and look for traitors, Ismael waited. He waited until everybody was out, then he joined Ingrid. The initiate looked at Ingrid.

"Shall I join the others, or shall I stay here with you?"

he asked, spoken rather softly. His hands behind his back, as he watched the Troops spreading out. Trying to find clues or maybe even some Traitors.

Ingrid recently scored another disciple alongside Ben Serrano Ben Serrano . Quite a few Warden died during the events of Night of the Truth, so this was necessary. However, the young man knew less than her first disciple, though this did not bother the red-haired woman. She also began her studies late, barely a few years ago. She never really thought she would have two disciples at the same time. With the dropship,, the landing was easy at the base, and her apprentice joined her.

”I go with them too, I don't stay behind. I’m not the kind of person to do your thing with another person, Mr. Cal-Drouga. But I don't want you to come with us unarmed either. I hope you can use longswords.”

She waved her hand at one of the soldiers, who stepped forward and handed Ismael a Nelvaanian Longsword.

”Find the other team and meet them. It’s pretty hard to feel anything in the Force in this place. Not only do the sensors seem to be blind, but there are also problems with the Force. Maybe that’s why the First Order built this base here earlier. Keep your eyes open, we may be in for a surprise.”

She waved her hand at the soldiers to move forward, after which she did the same. There wasn't much in the hangar here. Although the lack of dust revealed that the place had been used before. Stepping out into the hallway, she headed where the other team could have come from. And they soon met Rath Nihro Rath Nihro in the corridor.

”Is everyone ready to map and scan the place? If so, we can go, gentlemen!”

Thankfully either Rath was quicker on his feet than he realized, or the Overlord waited on him to catch up. There wasn’t much in the area he just scouted out, but he saved that piece for his report later. Rath nodded his head in acknowledgment to the Overlord.

“Yes, my lord.” Rath spoke as he remained alert for what was ahead. The rest of the soldiers that the Overlord brought with her provided more than enough firepower to hold their own in a gunfight should things progressed to that point. For being abandoned, the place was relatively clean. Which suggested that it was only abandoned recently, and it made the young Warden wonder what made them suddenly leave the station? Were they tipped off that the Empire was coming for them? Questions ran through his mind as Rath considered the possibilities that he can’t completely overrule yet. As a soldier, he keeps these thoughts to himself unless they see evidence of such things.

“Something about this place is making it difficult to get a signal for communications. It could be something jamming communications, or it could be this asteroid.” Perhaps it could be Rath’s paranoia, but still he figured that information should be passed down to the rest of the group. Sensing through the Force was difficult on its own, which made Rath all the more curious as to what exactly was causing this much interference. Could it be the results of Sith Alchemy, or was a Force user at work here? If Rath was to pick off the lesser evils, he’d pick the latter as against a living creature or a droid even could be captured for recent information. Even so, the station was a great place to hide from both civilization and force users.

At any rate, Rath proceeded to remain on guard as he opted to bring up the rear. Rath still kept his presence in the Force to be hidden, but not cut off from it. If Ismael opted to stick with Rath, the soldier would speak to him.

“Stay close to the middle. Our armor is built to take blaster fire, so use us as cover.” It was a basic strategy for those with less armor to be surrounded by an armored wall. It was part of the drills Rath and several soldiers had to go through when escorting valuable personnel to the extraction point. Of course the strategy could easily be modified, but in these barren corridors there wasn’t much of anything for any of them to hide. Rath even checks the vents, but he doesn’t see any movement aside from the whirling fans.

He still stood next to Ingrid, when one of the soldiers handed him a Longsword. He took the sword and looked closely at it while swinging it once to feel the weight of the sword. "I can manage, don't worry" he replied. There was some arrogance to this comment, after all, he never really had a real fight. He had some training due to his Father serving as a Soldier in the Sith Empire, but still, real experience was necessary to gain strength.

He nodded quickly "understood" and went on. He stayed cautious while looking around, holding his sword in both hands, close to his head. Ready, to attack whenever needed.

As the group progressed through the corridors, they checked in with the other group. The group, Ismael was to find. He silently joined them. He nodded silently "Got it" he replied to the soldier. Even though he didn't like the idea to be protected, he still accepted it. The soldiers would know better than him, what to do. But Ismael would definitely not be staying around letting him be guarded, as soon as there would be a fight, he would help. Showing his fearlessness and courage, to make everybody see, that he wants to be a part of this. Not just be some obstacle that makes the team worse. And that was his way of showing it, it is the only way he has ever seen since he grew up under a Planet of the Sith Empire.

It seemed like the Station was abandoned. "I don't really believe they would just abandon this station. There must be something going on. A trap" he said. There was just no way for him, to think that people would just leave something like that without leaving a note. If they abandoned the Station, they knew Ingrid, Rath Ismael, and the soldiers would come. So therefore they must have made a trap. Ismael didn't like the situation right now. "A bomb...maybe" he added.

<”If I will honor you, Mr. Cal-Drouga, by speaking respectfully to you, you will do the same to me. I am not only your master, but also your commander. “My Lord” address is perfectly.”>

She told the young man when no one else heard her. She didn’t like to have to remind others of decency, especially not her own rank, but as a soldier, she expected that. Not long after, Ingrid nodded at Rath's words, not only was the Force harder to use here, but communication was also difficult. After that, she wouldn't have been surprised if the technology hadn't worked properly either.

Although Ingrid was the commander, she loved that when her men thought and were able to make decisions and act on their own. And Rath was visibly like that, smart, resourceful, and quick to see through. The Overlord thought the young man deserved attention later on. But her disciple also had good ideas, even though he did not have much fighting experience.

<”You are both smart in assessing the situation. It can be a trap, just like anything else. The traitors cling to their own power and want even more. They refused our code. I wouldn't be surprised if something…”>

She couldn’t finish the sentence because the whole building shook violently beneath them. Although the Force was difficult to detect, the strong Dark Side disturbance was perfectly felt from the bottom of the base, which was already built into the rock based on the data.

<”It really looks like someone, or something, is still at “home”, sooner or later, based on its power, will dismantle the base or the asteroid itself… We have to hurry!”>

With that, she set out ahead, ahead of everyone to find the way down, a mine, an elevator, or anything you could find here.

Fortunately Ismael listened to the formation, and yet Rath could understand if the swordsman was a bit frustrated with the notion of being protected. Pride or not, Rath sought to ensure they got out of this station alive. Perhaps it wasn't exactly like a soldier, much less a low ranked one at that, shouldn't have ordered personnel what to do. Frankly Rath hadn't known that Ismael was a Warden as well, but at the same token it wouldn't have changed Rath's decision to be on the defensive.

Ismael spoke of his concerns regarding the station, and Rath agreed with the notion. For a station focused on hiding from both sensors and Force user's the station seemed hardly worth abandoning. Not without a fight that is. If a bomb had been placed, then either someone stayed to remotely detonate said bomb. Or they left it to be triggered in some way. That certainly was a possibility, and even the Overlord complimented them for their insight of the situation.

Before the Overlord could finish speaking however, the entire base started to tremble as the dark side of the Force made its presence very well known to even the non-sensitive. The stench from the dark side reached through Rath's mask as it smelled of decay, spoke volumes of how strong this presence was. To the sensitive looking at the presence on the surface felt like it was all around them. Yet as the Overlord spoke in alarm, the source came from below. Whether it was a vision, or perhaps the dark side tried to get into his head. Rath couldn't shake off the sensation that whatever was releasing this energy was a living being, and very dangerous.

Rath proceeded to bring up the rear of the group as they followed behind the Overlord. A click from Rath's gun could be faintly heard as the soldier switched the ammunition to slug rounds. Whatever this presence was, Rath knew it was not to be underestimated, and frankly he doesn't think the firepower they have would be enough for what's in store for them.

Disappointed to himself, Ismael quickly replied to Ingrid "My apologies, my lord". A surprise for not only Ingrid probably but also Ismael. He himself wants to respect all the ones above as below him, but it seemed like he shortly forgot himself, for a second, when he answered her. "I will not forget. Forgive my clumsiness my lord" he added to his apologie. Mistakes can be made, but this one could have been avoided by Ismael. He felt ashamed.

As he and the troops with Rath kept walking, the sudden rumble of the station, seemed to have shocked him. He wasn't too trained in the force and therefore also inexperienced in it. Something like this was new to him. But still, Ismael kept on walking. There was just no way for him, to show any sign of doubt or fear. "What exactly was that? The Force?" he asked quietly. Even in a situation like this, you could always learn.

Since he didn't know what it was, he had no opinion on it, and let Rath lead the way. He was more experienced. Maybe he and Ingrid would know now, where to go, or what exactly happens here.

<”And pay attention to your thoughts, your feelings, Mr. Cal-Drouga. I know it’s not easy and you still have a lot to learn, but these are the first steps. Never allow others to see or feel what you think, what you feel. Everyone will want to use it against you. You don’t even have to feel what you feel now, because you were an outsider, you don’t necessarily have to be aware of our habits yet. If you don’t know something, feel free to ask. If you feel you don’t know a trivial thing and don’t want others to know, use telepathy. I will answer you, this is why I’m your master.”>

Her voice was not regrettable or anything like that. In fact, she didn’t even scold the young man, she was more like a teacher teaching a student. After all, that was her job, only the coldness in her voice and the distance were present, which was really to be expected of her because of her position. And the best way to learn was really to have someone ask questions. If they are in a situation where she can respond, she will do it.

As they walked forward, Ishmael asked more questions. The Overlord was a little envious of the young man that the young man had never been part of any such event before. Not so long ago, she somehow reacted similarly when she first felt something like this. It was not a pleasant feeling, so because of this part she did not envy her disciple because of it.

<”Yes, the Force, that was the power of the Dark Side. It can come from an intelligent life form, some Force-created being, which can be on an animal level, or even an object, or an intelligent being. Such beings are called Sithpawn. Or just a Dark Side ritual. What do you think should be done in a situation like this, against an unknown threat?”>

She also asked the last question in a voice as if she was examining, teaching the two men. After all, it was a good day for teaching and learning. Meanwhile, the elevator shaft was found and the elevator arrived, then suddenly the power went out and the emergency lights turned on, but this had the consequence that the elevator also crashed towards the lower levels, where it was destroyed with a loud click.

Rath had forgotten the fact that there were quite a lot of people in the galaxy who had never felt the Force before. Granted, Rath knew that the Force was always present that gently guides each individual down their paths. For better, or for worse as the Force can be unpredictable despite the ones who used it claim. At least, that's a truth that Rath came to understand since the start of his training as an Initiate. Still, it wasn't his place to instruct Ismael on what to do. Sithspawn or not Rath knew it was better to keep their mind guarded and tempered.

The stench continued to reach his nostrils as the scent of decay was all he could smell. He turned on the ventilation function that's normally used to ventilate the toxic gas and such before it reached his system. Granted it didn't take the stench away unfortunately, but it was mitigated to some degree. The Overlord questioned as to what should be done in the situation, and frankly all senses including the Force was telling Rath to turn around and leave. Not because it was a cowardly act, but because whatever was down there Rath could feel the ravenous hunger. Almost like they're about to descend into an abyss with some monstrous creature.

"We should approach this with extreme caution, and make sure we keep a secured escape route in case it comes to that. With the Force being this thick, just about anything can happen. Even play tricks to your mind if you're not guarded." Rath explained before they found an elevator shaft. However, no sooner had they found said elevator, the transportation plummeted for indiscernible number of meters. Whether it was a mechanical malfunction, or it was the result of this concentrated energy of the Dark Side. Rath could not tell, but he was willing to bet it could be a mixture of both. Thankfully there was low lighting down the shaft so Rath's helmet enhanced his vision to make out what he could best describe as a pit of darkness.

"That's one hell of a drop. But I see a maintenance ladder that we can use." Rath pointed out before he turned his head to look for an anchor. Anything would do, but unfortunately the place was so barren of anything that setting up a grappling hook would be impossible lest someone stayed behind. The soldier slightly shook his head.

"I guess we found our answer as to why they would abandon a military station. If it was a Sithspawn, they would've either put it down or locked it away since it's below us. Unless the target was too much of a risk to contain, and more so attempting to kill it. Whatever it is, it is hungry." Or at least that's the intention Rath was getting behind the presence and the stench. Anything else aside from malice and inspiring fear Rath couldn't discern otherwise.

"A Sithspawn...." Ismael quietly repeated to himself, while following Rath. It was the first time he ever heard about that term, yet he got blessed with an explanation of it, which he was grateful for. As he approached the elevator with Rath, he looked down quickly, then went back a few steps, to hear and see Rath. In this situation, he followed him, since he was more experienced, and of course Ingrid.

Ingrid's words, made Ismael think. "I don't really know..." and yet again, he more or less hoped, that Rath would take the lead and have an idea, which he had. "Any ideas on an escape route ?" he asked Rath since it was his comment, that made him question that.

There weren't many options, especially now, that the elevator was destroyed since it flew right down to the lowest level. His hands still holding his weapon, he lowered it and looked around. "Maybe ventilation shafts? They tend to be at every level....obviously" This was the only idea he had in mind, he couldn't think of any other route. "Talking about ventilation shafts.....we should hurry up, no power means no oxygen in a certain time if I am not mistaken. Emergency generators can only provide for a limited period of time, or maybe not at all, if the ones we are hunting, have shut them down before us." It may have sounded, like an order, but it wasn't. Ismael was worried, so far odds were not in their favor. He had a bad feeling about this all. "Maybe split up? I've had some....." he stopped talking for a few moments "training.....when it comes to ships and stations like this. I may be able to check up on the systems and repair what has been damaged"

Of course, he waited for Raht and Ingrid, to hear what they had to say about this.

Ingrid listened intently to the two men's talk about what they knew about it or what to do. The Overlord knew they were both likely to make mistakes, but there was no problem with that, she expected that. And after all, the two men were here to learn and experience new things. Though she wasn't entirely sure they thought exactly that. Yes, it became immediately apparent that Ismael was not yet familiar with such things. Ismael really was like Ingrid a few years ago when she knew nothing about these.

<”Creatures created with Sith magic, sorcery, and alchemy. These can be unicellular or even the most complex organisms. You can even make such a creature out of yourself. They are usually endowed with new abilities, physical endowments and are much stronger than the original version was. this allows completely new species to be created.”>

She explained quickly because it seemed that Ismael had not heard of these yet. The red-haired woman nodded at Rath's words, but Ismael also had a clever remark. So she first responded to her disciple's words.

<”Clever finding, go back and bring a backup generator and put power back on the base. If nothing else, subsistence is solved!”>

She gave the order to the soldiers who were with them, who even nodded back in a hurry. So there were only three of them left. She then turned to Rath.

<”Again, a correct statement, a sithspawn, especially if intelligent, is capable of Force using, but even if it is only one animal. The senses can go astray, so don’t trust it. Your intuitions are much more important and accurate. I think that something has been asleep so far and we could wake it up with our presence. It may have something to do with traitors, so I’ll definitely see what it is. If you think so, too, and don’t want to go back, start climbing down.”>

With that, she walked to the elevator shaft, but did not go down the ladder, she simply jumped down. Meanwhile, she reached out to the Force and dampened her fall with telekinetics. So she finally arrived slowly, completely silently, at the bottom of the elevator. All she had to do now was waits for the two younger men to continue exploring the base.

Her companions had not responded yet, so the Overlord was moving forward. Luckily, there were scanners and matching sensors in her helmet so she could see in the dark. True, these were limited because the armour did not have its own power supply, so they had to run on their own battery. But even so, they were usable for an hour or two, or possibly longer. They were perfectly suited for this purpose. Not knowing what to expect, she took her weapons in her hands and walked out into the hallway.

Looking around here, the dark side force was even more noticeable from the parts below, which was pretty weird since this was the lowest level. The Overlord didn't see another elevator going downstairs or just a staircase that would have indicated that. She looked around, but saw a larger explosion on the side of the corridor, followed by a cavern. This, in turn, led down and the whole side was permeated by the power of the Dark Side as well. It wasn't a very pleasant feeling, not even that she was Darksiders too. That is, she is usually neutral, but next to it she is a Darksider.

However, there were no more lights there, which made it difficult to see even with the sensors. At that moment, however, she was lucky because her people up there were done networking the generator and the lights in the hallway were on. Here she had already seen that there were light sources in the cave passage as well, some of which were not connected to the emergency generator. Now, however, they also began to light up.

<”We are moving in this direction!”> She told the two younger men.
