As Amanda heard the Overlord's voice on the communications, the pilot almost tightened her grip on the controls of the ship. The same starstruck nervousness of someone they looked up to briefly overwhelmed the pilot. Even so she listened to the Overlord's order, and Captain Blight absently nodded in confirmation.
"Copy that my Lord." Amanda acknowledged, and as she turned the communications to mute so that she could relay the information over to Rath. That he knew that the power was working on the other side, Rath was curious as to why their side had no power. The reason didn't matter as Amanda took her ship out of the unpowered hangar and steered the vessel around the asteroid. It took a few minutes before Amanda parked her ship in a docking bay next to the Overlord's.
"I'll keep the engine warm in case we need to leave as soon as possible. The Overlord has already entered the station, but I still urge you to be careful. Who knows what these people left behind." Amanda expressed to Rath as he still had his helmet on. Granted he no longer needed the power droid, so he planned to simply follow-up with the Overlord and her crew. The young soldier, and Initiate, disembarked from the vessel and even though Rath wasn’t putting a lot of weight behind his steps. The armor alone made its presence known as he held the rifle against his shoulders with the barrel pointed ahead of him. He cautiously moved around the corners in the case of hostilities.
Fortunately, there weren't any. That didn’t ease the grim feeling that Rath had regarding this station. Rath’s sense of the Force is a bit odd, he would feel the presence of the Force, but he would also be unable to determine whether it is the dark side or the light side until he smells it. Currently it just felt like something was crawling along his skin under the armor. To Rath it meant that the Force was strong within the station, and that begged the question as to what generated this presence.
Eventually, Rath came upon what would be best described as the barren remains of sleeping quarters. Which essentially was a large room as some metal frames could be spotted along the floor. The perfect size for a bunk bed mattress to rest on, but otherwise there was virtually nothing in the room save for a closed durasteel door on the opposite side from Rath. It always took some effort, but Rath took this moment to blend his connection to the Force with the environment. Effectively he screened his presence from being detected through the Force.
A new trick of Rath’s, but this mission would be the first time Rath attempted on the field. Either way, Rath made his way over to the closed door. To which responded upon his approach by opening to reveal a functional small room where people took showers and such. However what drew his attention was the slumped body in a shower stall, a bothan with blood soaked within the incredibly dried fur. The body looked like it had been sitting there for a while, and the bothan was garbed in a long sleeved white shirt of synfleece and grey pants. On his belt was an empty holster of where a blaster normally would be, and yet as Rath scanned the room there wasn’t any sign of a blaster nor a gunfight.
Rath kept his gun trained at the body as Rath nudged the bothan’s foot with his own, yet Rath had also positioned his foot in the case the bothan lunged at him it would effectively kick the corpse down. Thankfully it was just a corpse as the body felt so stiff, it felt like it was drained of fluid. Like a dried husk as it were. Rath examined the corpse yet he couldn’t find any wounds on the body that would determine the cause of death. From the dried blood that seemed to have oozed from the mouth, nostrils, eyes, and ears Rath had an indication that poison might have been involved. That was his theory however, and the soldier merely straightened himself with a rifle in hand. Where he proceeded to leave the room as he attempted to catch up to the Overlord. Little did he know that the body simply vanished when he left the room.
