Checkmate [Knights Edition]

OVERVIEW
Taking place deep in the Underworld of Coruscant, the Knights gathered can use their wit and power to control pawns of their choosing. You must remain close enough to maintain line of sight with your pawns, but not so close as to be spotted by your opponents. The fight is confined to a mile of city, huge skyscrapers and dirty back alleys alike. The goal? Kill all your fellow Knights’s pawn(s) before all yours are gone. And be careful…Matsu is out there waiting to interject at the least opportune moment.

RULES
1. You may employ both force-users of any level and alignment, and NFU’s of any skill level/equipment level. These people are entirely up to you to create, leading to endless possibilities and ways to fight.
2. Please be realistic in how many people you can control at once/how easy it is to take over more. As long as you are controlling at least one pawn, you are in the game. Deaths will NOT count against you unless it’s your last Pawn – I want to see some epic ends.
3. If all your pawns are killed, you have one ‘respawn’ at your original starting location to try again. You must start with taking over a completely new person and getting back on the field.
4. FU’s can use any and all abilities realistic to their rank once controlled, but keep it to their alignment. (i.e. Jedi shouldn’t be using Force Rage or Deadly Sight, etc.)
5. Any and all weapons and tech are allowed. Random melee weapons found in the environment are also encouraged.
6. You may jump between pawns if controlling one at a time, but do not do so to powergame/avoid a death. For example, if you’re controlling a street urchin and someone else controlling a bounty hunter takes a blaster shot at you, don’t suddenly jump to a Sith that just happened to be standing there and block the shot with a lightsaber.
7. You have 72 hours to reply once engaged. Going over the time frame does not disqualify you, but does count against you.
8. This will go on for two weeks (ending April 26th at 7pm EST). The winner will either be the last left standing, or in the event of multiple OR none left standing, the one deemed most creative, deadliest, and most realistic/fair.

I expect situations not governed by these rules to come up as this is a lesson all about creativity. Please direct questions to the OOC thread located in the One Sith General Discussion forum. If you want to join but haven't signed up yet, you have until the 14th. For the most part it’s a free-for-all brawl over part of the city – just be realistic and fair to your fellow player, and most of all HAVE FUN!

CHOOSE YOUR STARTING POINT.
GO.

Starting Point: Rabid Rancor Bar

Lord Ajihad was crouched in the rafters of a building, known as the Rabid Rancor Bar/Pub. It was a medium-sized, three story establishment in the Coruscant Undercity, and it was absolutely perfect for his intentions. It was where the dirtiest scumbag bounty hunters and assassins drank their nights away, the only decent thing they had to hang on for in their pathetic, grubby lives. As stupid as these men were, they were also deadly, ruthless, and armed to the teeth. If his goal was to eliminate the enemy team, well, this was certainly the group of people, he'd do it with. Grinning, he scanned the crown of unwashed bodies for a suitable candidate.

"Where are we going?" The Acolyte asked, the eagerness clear in his voice. Valtryx looked at him and smiled.
"Almost there. We're doing an experiment." She replied, putting his mind at ease. Nowhere was it mentioned that a participant couldn't bring a person beforehand, and so Valtryx was going to ensure she got a force sensitive from that start. Was it fair? Maybe not, but she didn't care. As long she was the one left in the end, she didn't care what happened. They came to a stop as they reached the outskirts of the designated competition area.
"Here?" The Acolyte questioned, sounding unsure.
"Here." Valtryx repeated, giving a smirk as she turned to face the less-experienced Sith. Reaching out with the force, she began to probe his mind, ensuring it was weak enough to assume control. Once she was satisfied, she withdrew herself for now. "Go into that crowd over there, and wait for my instructions." She ordered, pointing out a gathering of people around a market stall. The Acolyte nodded in obedience, and moved to the location. Valtryx however simply moved to the sides of the streets, making the shadows her ally as to avoid the attention of unwary eyes.

Peering out at her first pawn, she grinned. She could sense his fear from where she stood.
This was going to be fun.
