Personality:
Chess is a bit on the serious side of things. Spending her whole life training in a military facility has made her that way. She can be sociable, however, and has a silver tongue of sorts. She didn't have many friends growing up. It's more difficult than ever now due to her synthetic limbs. Making her angry isn't a smart idea. Do your best to stay on her good side, and you won't end up with her blades in your chest.
Biography:
Chess was raised in the CIS. Her mother and father are decorated officers, and had her begin her training when she was as young as five. It was a very difficult time for her. She did everything to her best ability, striving to gain her parents' approval and respect. But they only ever saw her as nothing more than a child. If they loved her at all, she couldn't tell. Her hard work eventually paid off. At the age of twelve, she was allowed to go on her first mission as an operative. It was a success. She became a celebrity of sorts after that. Everyone spoke of her in the highest regard. Even her parents gave her some of the recognition she so craved from them. Things couldn't have been better. When she was fourteen, however, things took a turn for the worse. On a particularily high-risk mission, she was barraged by missiles and grenades. One grenade landed too close to her. The rest of the following three weeks were lost to her memory. When she awoke, her limbs had been replaced by durasteel, military-grade hull metal ones. It shocked her deeply. She felt like some kind of lab freak. People began to speak ill of her when she went back on duty. Her parents stopped speaking to her altogether. Finally, she'd had enough. She went AWOL a year later. She's been hunted for desertion ever since.
