- Serrated leg plating
- Capable of high speeds and control, fulfilling the infiltration role of the walker.
- Utilizes both maser and rapid-fire slugthrower weaponry, the latter capable of interchanging ammunition types.
- Turadium reinforcement of frame and joints offers improved durability overall to energy damage.
- Corrosion resistant plating.
- AT-IT flanks not protected by forward-facing weaponry.
- Bipedal design potentially exploited by enemies; having one functional leg means an inoperable walker.
- Limited field-of-view due to forward facing viewport.
- Lacks missile or explosive armament.
- Though durable against common infantry armament, the AT-IT is susceptible to weapons such as anti-vehicle missiles, grenade launchers, anti-vehicle rifles, etc.
The AT-IT is a bipedal walker used by the Chiss Expansionary Marine Corps for ground operations. Due to the speed the walker is capable of, as well as the array of systems and sensors it can utilize in the field, it is primarily used for scouting and infiltration of enemy flanks. It has been constructed with durable armor, boasts some impressive weapon systems that are adaptable, and has reinforced joints to help withstand energy damage - such as lightsaber blades.
The cockpit is environmentally sealed, allowing for the AT-IT to be deployed into a range of hazardous environments while leaving the crew unhindered. In case of being stranded, the crew have access to distress beacons, ration packs and basic survival gear suited to their environment on deployment.
Yet, like most walkers of a similar design, it has one large weakness: the legs. Despite reinforcing the metallic limbs, there still remains risk of having one or both damaged, bound or otherwise disable, which would render the AT-IT movement inoperable. Also, due to the size of the cockpit, there remains no room for passengers or additional cargo transport space, limiting the AT-ITs field support to purely engagement focused.
