Hi ,

I'm Emma, and I'm totally new to the whole RPG thing on a forum, I play D&D and rpg games however, but it's always been something I've wanted to do. I figured it'd make a good stress relief while I'm studying at uni. However, I'm not quite sure how everything works here despite reading the rules and guides on here so any tips on things like joining a faction would be great.

Anyway I looking forward to getting to know people on here and creating my own story.

I'm still pretty fresh here but I think I can offer some hopefully useful advice. When it comes to joining a Faction it's pretty simple. Who in the Galaxy do you feel most partial to? Or more specifically, who does your character align with? There are a few Major Factions. These are factions with tangible influence on the Galaxy and their territory can be seen in the Map. These guys have the most members and include:
  • The Sith Empire
  • The Confederacy of Independant Systems
  • The Silver Jedi Order
  • The Core Imperial Confederation
  • The Corellian Confederation
  • The Mandalorian Empire
Probably more but I can't think rn. Anyway yeh if you're character is a Mandalorian, they'll probably join the ME, but it's entirely up to you and where you wish to take them. There are also a large number of Minor Factions. These are Factions that are small, growing and will eventually become Major Factions (Mine Included :p ) You can join these factions just like any other. I suppose any more info would come from the Faction you want to join. Some of them are really in-depth (Sith Empire for example).

Have I answered any questions or did you want to know something more Specific?

Thank you so much for the info.

I've been tossing up between creating a Mandalorian, Jedi or smuggler. I haven't quite figured out which one I want to go with yet. I also have no clue about things like her appearance etc, but I'll figure it out. Hopefully.

No worries lol.

Appearance is pretty easy. Just go to google images or pinterest or whatever and start browsing some Star Wars characters or just any other sci-fi looking character. If you want something more personal, you can always go to Art and Design and request an Avatar Drawing, though don't be surprised if nobody replies :p

Welcome to Chaos! I saw you're looking at making a smuggler! The Corellian Confederation would love to involve smugglers in fun our threads. The Outer Rim Coalition is another good place for smuggler types. Hard to find you out in the rim!
