CIS: Temple of Doom

Kowak

Deep within the rainforest of Kowak stood an ancient temple that really was unknown. The Master believed it used to be a Jedi Temple but she had been unable to locate any information on it at all which was why the woman was choosing to go explore it. She originally was planning on going alone as that was how she used used to doing this however she thought better of herself. It would be rather nice to meet others whom were apart of this new government. She ought to try to make friends after all and not be such a hermit besides it would be nice to have helpers.

"Straight ahead," she motioned to the group as she stepped out of the rainforest and onto the plains which the massive temple sat on. She felt more at home in the forest but she was sure the others were happy to be out in the open now. She was just glad they hadn't gotten lost in the unfamiliar rainforest and were able to find this place. Taking a step back she looked up to just admire the structure as she awaited for the rest of the group.

Matsu had briefly met [member="Katrina Garnier"] in the heat of Dominion some time ago, but beyond that had no knowledge of the woman who'd offered spots on a mission to a planet that Matsu hadn't visited yet. While not exactly a hermit, Matsu had a - unbeknowest to her - similar habit as the Master's in that she did not have many friends. It was by choice and not something she felt one way or the other about...but she supposed it would be a good idea to get to know her fellow Confederacy members better. After all, if they were to accomplish great things they would need to trust one another.

She had been even more glad to come along once she'd realized what Kowak had in store. She had been to few rainforest planets and the planet did not disappoint. It was a symphony of wildlife to a backdrop of moisture dripping off the large, flat leaves of the trees towering above them. A light sheen of sweat glistened on Matsu's cheekbones and she swiped absently as she heard Katrina's announcement that they were close, looking up only to find the intense filigrees and jutting architecture of the temple they'd come upon. She stopped as well, one hand on her hip and the other lifting to shield her face from the bits of sun that managed to creep through the canopy. "I've never seen anything like it," she said with something like reverence. She'd been to far more planets for someone her age - for anyone honestly, and the structure before them was totally unique. She turned to look at the rest of the group as they gathered, companions she had yet to truly meet.

Ikki continued to move forward with the rest of the group as she held a slightly suppressed smile on her face. The others who were here were more skilled then she was but while she was walking through the area in synthatex clothing with spools of wire on her hips and gloves with small diamond tips. There wasn't much else to say but she was looking up at everything around them until she came upon the structure and looked at it through the canopy giving a small tight lipped smile before adjusting her equipment and hair. "It is quite a sight master."

Balor marched with the others as he stepped foot from the dense jungles and into the plains. It was like night and day. Balor looked up at the massive sight. It was a huge temple. It truly impressed him. Balor didn't know what side he supported in the Jedi or the Sith fight. Balor felt the Sith held no morality but he also felt that the Jedi were too passive when dealing with evil. Balor believed that evil must be exterminated with no mercy. But he did know that the temple was quite beautiful. And that he was curious what was inside and how it could help a cause he truly believed in, The Confederacy. Balor looked next to him on both of his sides and saw his brothers and sisters in arms and he felt a strange sense of pride that he rarely felt.

Having a baby had changed everything for Katrina. She never would have ventured out into the city if it wasn't for her. The forest wasn't a place for a child to grow up. Her daughter deserved the best and she wanted her to have a happy normal childhood. She as such agreed to move to Confederacy space and rejoin society.

It was hard at first which she partly blamed hormones on but at the end of the day she was glad she had. The master not only had a beautiful home in the country where here Akka dogs could run free and she could raise her little one but she also had been given an actual lab where she could do her work.

"We need to find an entrance," she turned to look to the group which had come with her. The master had no idea what to expect when it came to this temple. She hoped that they would find something fascinating.

Stepping forward she placed a hand against the cool stone of the pyramid shaped temple. It was rough to the touch but she had to guess that was just the texture of the stone itself.

"I'm not seeing a door but maybe on the other side?" Lightly she tapped on the stone just to see if that would do anything.

Ikki moved to look at the temple and her hands came out, her eyes closing while she sifted and breathed in deeply about what was happening. She didn't always have the most powerful connection to the force but she could usually find something. Slowly Ikki let her fingers rest and feel the texture of the stone while she started to move her toe in the boots touching lightly on the ground. Then her heel came down before she was moving again and the wire spool remained spun up but she knew it could slice through some of the stone before snapping which might come in handy. "We'll find a way in master." Ikki offered a small tight lipped grin while she kept going slowly around.

After which was with the party it was in her personality not stay close to a group. Maybe someday she could be around others. After which make sure that they had made it to the temple. If anything she would like scout it out. It was the way that she moved around what seem to be a path long ago forgotten in this rain-forest. Running her finger tips around the stones that looked to have more moss growing on them. Taking in this moment to come up with something else as if the very past was speaking to her. Coming back around to the where the others was gathered. "Master [member="Katrina Garnier"], sweet pea, lets just bust into this temple how are isn't to get into a place like this. " Only to pause to run her hand on one of the fallen stone upon the ground.

Not knowing when she would get a read off object or not. As her eyes quicken to the fact, as she let her eyes turn to the stone. Now her eyes glowed as if something was happen as image flow past her own eyes. Before long dropping to her knees finding then her hand off the stone. "Lots of people roam this temple once before the nature took over again." [member="Ikki Ike"] [member="Matsu Xiangu"] [member="DathoMaul"]

Matsu watched as the rest of the group began their efforts to find an entrance. Although logic suggested there had to be a way to get in, Matsu had long ago began to consider the galaxy as a place where logic did not necessarily preside. Maybe on a few planets...but some defied explanation. The Force was a mysterious thing and she'd long ago stopped assuming what she knew would hold true everywhere.

But it was best to try something that made sense first.

[member="Ikki Ike"] seemed to have taken the tack of the Master's advice, searching for a door elsewhere on the Temple's frame. She followed slowly behind, trying to run her eyes over spots that seemed less likely. The growth of the rainforest was thick on the Temple's walls, covering much of the stonework that lay beneath on this less traveled area. [member="Seanna Vel "]'s voice carried to Matsu as she spoke to [member="Katrina Garnier"]..."Lots of people roam this timple once before..."

And as if on cue the barest hint of stench, of rot and bone long trapped, met Matsu's nostrils. She stopped in her tracks, looking for the source of such a sudden and putrid stench only to discover...there were dark lines, almost the outline of a slab that might move with the right pressure. She looked to Ikki, nodding her head. "Could you help me?"

Her powers were growing in the Force every day, but this door looked extraordinarily heavy.
