- Heart of Clamor: There are dozens of active volcanos on this planet's surface, but one in particular is large enough to be seen from low orbit. This roiling boil on the face of the world defies most expectations of geothermal science, and the only explanation is that the warped nature of the planet sustains such an impossible peak.
- Ancient Ruins: Countless ruins of an extinct species remain half-buried in the jungle. The buildings they have constructed are comprised mainly of an unidentifiable but highly conductive metal that seems to be too heavy to be used in space flight. Nothing like a holorecording exists, but many written accounts remain, completely uninterpreted in their ancient, dead language. Some power remains in their aeons-dead machines, which frequently causes catastrophes that scar the planet's surface.
Culture: Any culture present on the planet has been long since dead. However, evidence remains of an ancient and highly advanced civilization. No images of what this species might have looked like survive, and all accounts of its history are recorded in a truly alien alphabet with no known parallels.
Technology: None. Previously, the planet seems to have been home to a highly advanced race. In the ruins of destroyed cities, several defunct old machines still have functioning energy cores of mindblowing power, though understandably the structural integrity of these machines is somewhat diminished from thousands upon thousands of years of existing in a planet-scale rainforest. Occasionally animal curiosity or natural disaster ruptures a core, which results in a radioactive leak as often as it does a nuclear explosion.
As a result of these leaks and explosions, the indigenous life on the planet has mutated at an accellerated rate, leaving the entire ecosystem - carnivores, herbivores, and everything else - in a state of constant evolutionary flux. The ancient technology has done almost as much to contribute to the world's uninhabitability as the Yuuzhan Vong bio-bombs did.
History: Once, in ages long since past, Clamor had a name, and was inhabited by an unknown species. Their involvement in the Abominor-Silentium War is unknown, but from what can be determined by examining the ruins remaining on the surface of the planet (and jumping to a few conclusions about the nature of creatures that currently inhabit it) is that the Yuuzhan Vong used a form of bio-bomb against the world. It can be gathered that this bomb accelerated and strengthened the natural life on the planet, causing it to overwhelm and reclaim the entirety of the world within an incredibly short amount of time.
Currently, and for the last countless thousand years, the planet has been inhabited by immense, dangerous beasts of almost impossible variety, considering the planet's nature as a kind of primordial jungle "infant world." This can be assumed to be a result of the bio-bombs, combined with the residual radiation from the extinct inhabitants' energy sources. Dubbed "Clamor" by initial explorers due to the audio noise caused by an infinite number of wild animals screaming in unison, it is considered extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all costs.
Most unnervingly, deep-core samples will reveal that the planet itself has been affected by the bio-bombs. While still in an embryonic state, signs point to a change not at all dissimilar from Zonama Sekot. It may not be awake yet, but Clamor is almost certainly as alive as the creatures on its surface.
It's alive...and it's hungry.
