Clans Information

The Clans now have their own thread, which you will find in the information forum. I've left it empty for the time being, going to be adding information tomorrow and over the weekend there. If you wanna help with this, go right ahead! Ti'Cira already have information for the Singing Mountain Clan so you don't have to worry about that one.

Now, what I also want to talk is clan leaders. They say clan mother now but that can change. For starters the clans you are part of now (and the ones you were born in, for Nightsisters), I was thinking before we get PC leaders, we can create NPCs to fill the space, allow your clans to rp with the and the like. So, feel free to write up your ideas for the NPCs (picture too if you want to!) as well as whatever snips you want to add for clan description.

Surely the clan leaders would be their Clan's representatives to the Overclan? Might be worth reflecting that.

That said, as the Faction grows, we're more likely to have players at the 'Master' rank, so technically speaking, you could have 6-7 people as Clan Mothers - that wouldn't fit right, because ultimately, you'd normally have maybe 1 or 2 holding that position, as the Clan's main decision-maker. Realistically, you'd have one. So perhaps that ought to be considered an 'honorary' title for our Faction head (as 'Emperor' is among the Sith), and then have another formal rank below that for the Masters, such as 'Mage Adept' or 'Clan Elder'.

( only in here on this char till i make my new char) but I agree that we have a rank.. that isn't the clan mother... granted we have enough clans... lol but yeah perhaps Clan Elder

Um... I'm a tad bit tired right now but I'm gonna put this down as I understood it. Feel free to correct me if I understood wrong! The Nightsister Overclan has one Clan Mother and thus would have one representative at the council of clan mothers. If we do have leaders for their subgroups Nightbrothers and SpiderClan, they would probably send their own representatives as well. We unite clans by forming the council, to open communication among clans but the clans themselves remain.

Every clan has its Clan leader (Mother or Father, depending on the type of clan) and that is a unique position that would be held by one person of said clan. A Clan leader can be a 'Knight or 'Master' but certainly not an initiate. Being 'Mater' ranked and part of a clan does not automatically make them clan leaders. A Clan Elder would be someone of higher ranking, age and more time at the faction, ie. in six months we have 20 characters and six or so of them have been here from the start, written out their training, achieved higher ranks, gained the experience. (Just painting a picture here) Those are Elders of their clans. It's an honorary titles which, viewed from an IC point of view is something younger Witches will deem older ones. And as I said, right now, the positions that don't get filled will be held by NPCs, specifically clans that are currently being used. Those that have no characters we assume they're still here because we're not removing any of them, but in light of the seclusion, the plague, there will probably be wonder just who remained.

The way I see it is that the Council is something new and thus will have to be roleplayed. Right now we use the clans we have PCs at and form a small fraction of the council and from then on say that other clans are being sought out to join said council to make it a fair and just one as it is meant to decide the fate of Dathomir.

Okay! Great! I'll probably put the Council information in the same thread as the clan, in a new post. Singing Mountain will have its by the end of the day, Taleen will be covering Nightsisters and Frenzied River. Anyone else wanna give it a shot? I'll get mine up by the evening so you can see a basic concept. :)

It's up now. The unplanned structure is: link to clan mother's profile/picture of NPC followed by
a) information from the wookieepedia ~ location, most known members, any other detail mentioned on the wookie
b) current history/status
c) basic information about clan (alignment, laws, thoughts of spells and powers) and such.

Basic bits would be the first and the last paragraph.
