Clash Of Codes

Probably a bit much of her to try breaking into a network that in of itself was just as illegal as what she herself was doing. It wasn't your everyday Catina or Storeclerk accounts. Those were far simpler, even on a planet like Nar Shaddaa. Firstly was a point most users of said service already knew- it could only be accessed through another program she used, Cryptnet. Still it came as a mild surprise to her regardless at first and as a result was enough to spark her interest. Later that night she set up her 'tools' and got to work.

It was more entertainment than she had in a long time! The system wasn't just common or reproduced code. It was a challenge, one she liked. Hessti cracked a grin. This was a rare joy for her. She COULD just sign up or pay the fee but really, where was the challenge in that? Besides she wanted the things credits. Credits were far easier to hack than physical objects. The violet haired slicer would lean back in her chair a moment, rubbing chin thought. She expected a system this challenging to have some sort of defender. Perhaps they simply thought no one could break through?

If so this would quickly turn downhill to just another boring night, but well.... Somehow she doubted that would be the case. In any case she was getting closer simply had to keep pressing it.

By law of the digital clock that was displayed at the edge of her holovision screen it was night in her sector of Nar Shaddaa. Not that it mattered much to Jennifer, she had after all discarded such notions as day and night long ago. She hadn't been able to sleep and had instead opted to watch terrible holoflicks until she simply passed out. That way, nightmares seldom haunted her sleep.

However, despite being awake it had taken some time for her to realize that the alarms she had installed to keep track of her various databanks and server farms had gone off. She had been close to falling asleep and the frantic beeping from her datapad had in her coma like state been mistaken for... Noise.

Swearing under her breath, her voice cracking from lack of use, she got onto her feet and stumbled from one end of the single room apartment to the other, finding the chair that stood in front of the massive computer setup that was installed in the room.

"Who the kark is awake at this hour..." She mumbled as she started to locate what was being done to her systems.
