NABOO/LAKE COUNTRY
VOLTURA MANOR
EARLY EVENING

It was finally time.

It had been an unexpected night, the Coronation Ball in Theed. Dimitri had gone, as was expected of a respectable lord - also to prowl for a snack. Who he did not expect was Eenia Vahn. The unexpected night-long talk with her had, amongst other things, revealed her desire to hone her skill with a lightsaber. How this dainty woman had such a desire, was above him, but yet he offered to train her.

So here he was, in his Manor in the Lake Country, waiting on his newly acquired, lovely pupil. He had his reservations about training her. The Sith Lord had felt the Light within her. His teaching method might be too....controversial for her liking.

Sipping on some wine while running his hand over the head of his Charhound, Savante.
"You'll behave tonight, yes?" Dimitri asked him. The hound let out a rumble in response.

Just then Raul, his lanky butler, floated into his study.
"The Lady Vahn has arrived, my lord." he announced.
"Good. Bring her through, please Raul." Dimitri answered, leaning back in the winged armchair he was lounging in and taking another sip of wine.
Raul bowed and disappeared in the direction of the front door to welcome Eenia and lead her to Dimitri's study.

This would be interesting to experience. Truly.

It was becoming commonplace, the act of switching instructors. Admittedly Eenia was beginning to think that perhaps it was something wrong with her. That perhaps she wasn't as good a pupil as she had hoped she had been. That while she had listened, and done as she was told always, and did her best to accomplish the goals set out for her, perhaps she just didn't meet the mark. The fact that most were too busy for her was not something she held against any Master; life was a complicated thing, and who was she to pitch a fit about that? If anyone understood life throwing a wrench into your plans, it was Nia.

But life always had a way of surprising her, and bringing things to light when she least expected it. Case and point, the Royal affair she had attended? Never in all of Nia's life would she had expected to find another teacher in such a place. Especially such an effortlessly charming one. It had been much easier for the Lord Voltura to get Eenia to agree to a studious relationship than the blonde would ever care to admit.

She had known exactly where his alignment was the moment the pair of them had locked eyes. Darkness shrouded him like a cloak, and while Eenia knew that she should have been repulsed, afraid even, she had instead been intrigued. Curiosity had lead her forward, a desire to know more. A fact which she was not proud of, considering the last time she had danced around with connections to the Dark Side, but of the whole Vahn brood, Nia was most certainly the one most lead by emotion. Perhaps that was why she continued to stupidly flirt with the Dark Side from her safe little haven in the Light.

And that is what brought her here now, to this abode in Lake Country. While not commonly one impressed with buildings or homes, even Eenia would admit that this Manor was quite nice. A fact which she commented on at least twice to the man who had greet her at the door and then proceeded to escort her through to the man of the hour. When she initially caught sight of Dimitri, a pleasant enough smile graced Nia's features, and she thanked Raul for showing her to where she needed to be. She was anything if not polite, for certain. Though even with all of her delicate ways, there was still a faint tightness to her smile and it did not fully reach her gaze as it once had - not that anyone else within the room would be aware of this fact.

"Your home is beautiful." she did not stand on ceremony and wait to be spoken to first; not entirely unlike how she had not hesitated to answer when she had first been spoken to at the Coronation. "Is it just you here? Or is there family lurking around somewhere, waiting with held breaths for a peek at the strange girl invited to their home?" Yes, Nia knew why she was here. Yes, she knew he could spring from that chair and initiate a sparring session right off the bat, but that didn't stop her from speaking up. She wasn't above pleasantries to acquaintances, even if the situation could tip out of her favor in an instant.

Raul promptly brought her through to his study.

When she entered the room, a smile graced her beautiful features. He got up with, returning her smile.
"Good evening, Miss Vahn." he greeted her. "Thank you, Raul." he then said to his butler before motioning for Eenia to have a seat.
"Would you like a drink before we get started?" he asked her, turning to his cabinet to top up his wine.

He smiled when she gushed at he beauty of his home.
"Thank you. It's been in my family for centuries." he said, opening the crystalline decanter and pouring the deep red liquid into his glass.
She then went on to ask about his family. The smile faded slightly from his lips, but he kept his face guarded as he walked back to his chair, handing her a glass.
"It is just me and my serving staff. No embarrassing stories for you, I fear." he joked, taking his seat once more. His hand fell on Savante's head once more.

Crossing one leg over the other, he leaned back in his chair.
"Now, my dear, please enlighten me - what is it you wish to achieve through these sessions? Do you wish to learn defensive or offensive?" he asked her, taking a sip of wine.

He knew from their conversation at the ball, that she was not new to lightsaber dueling. But he was interested to see what it was that the Jedi have taught her. He had found their techniques lacking in his own dealings with them during his time with the One Sith nearly a century prior. Now, his red armour was locked away - his bloody past a mere memory now.

For how long, though, was anybody's guess.

To hear that it was just him, alone with the staff in this large home made Eenia looked around once again. Singular room at the moment or not, it was large, and without more people to fill it - family to fill it? Now it seemed almost too large for just one man. Granted, as far as Eenia knew, Dimitri preferred solitude, though he certainly hadn't seemed like the sort when the pair of them had met. While Nia was typically the sort to be able to chat with anyone at length, it usually wound up being a forced conversation sooner rather than later. With Dimitri that had not been the case.

Still, that didn't mean that he didn't usually prefer to be alone. Were the blonde prideful she would have probably felt smug over the possibility that it was her company he enjoyed enough to break his solidarity.

But he was speaking, and she had been offered not only a place to sit but a drink as well. Usually Nia wasn't the drinking sort. More than once she had ordered something to drink and merely held it, never really partaking. So even now her head shook gently and she waved a hand almost daintily. "No, thank you. I'm not much on drink." Perhaps she was missing out, but as of right now, she wanted a clear head regardless.

A good thing, especially considering his next inquiry. "Oh, I'm quite good with defense." Nia admit, though there was a touch of pink that colored her cheeks. Bragging on herself had never done her any good, after all. "But I've never really been all that great with offense. I mean I can keep myself alive for the most part, though most of that is due to being good with shields and defense..."

And her natural connection to the Force, but that wasn't something she felt she needed to bring up or talk about either.

Of course she would be better with defence.

That is all most Jedi was good at. Eenia was lucky she never met him on the other side of a blade in his dark years. It may have ended very differently for her. Luckily, times have changed for him.
"We shall remedy that, then. Can't have you merely keep yourself alive, now can we?" he said with a smile before finishing his wine.

He clapped his hands on the armrests. "Now then, shall we see what you can do?" he said before getting up. Savante git to his feet as well. Dimitri walked over to his desk and pressed a button on the comms.
"Raul, please see to it that we have some light at the dueling ring."he said calmly.
"It shall be done, my lord." came the answer.

Dimitri held the door for Eenia and motioned for her to precede him out of the study. He then took point down the hall to the winged glass doors at the end, leading her to the outdoors. He then led the way down some marbled steps to a sand covered ring surrounded by trimmed Golden Bell hedges. Savante trotted to the entrance and laid down beside it.

The Sith Lord moved to the furthest part of the circle and unclipped his lightsaber from his belt.
"Now, my dear....when you're ready, let's see how aggressive you can be." he said with a smile, igniting his elegant red blade and dropping into his dueling stance, his free hand fisted on his hip. He was truly curious as to what she could do. As he was still highly aligned with the Dark Side, he did sense some deeply hidden turmoil from her. It could prove interesting.

It was predictable, she was aware. Though Eenia's aptitude for defense didn't come from her connection to the Jedi, nor her time training with them. She had always been more defensive than offensive, choosing to make sure others were taken care of and protected rather than forging ahead and help turn the tide of battle. It had just always been that way. She hadn't needed to be the one to wield a saber with deadly force, because she had, had a team that worked like a well oiled machine.

But things had changed, life had changed, in a sickeningly variety of ways.

More than once Nia had switched Masters now, not because she was ungrateful but because the task was apparently too much to train her. She was much to old to be still struggling with blade work, but here she was. Give her a splayed open body and she could piece it back together and with minimal scarring no problem. Put the lightsaber in her hand and tell her to make a move? Well...

She had followed along behind Dimitri without even really realizing she had done so due to being lost in her own thoughts over this whole matter. For a moment she observed the dueling area, taking in the sight and finding it just as impressive as the rest of the home. But eventually her gaze fell to the lightsaber at her hip. A slow, steadying sigh brushed past her lips and she removed the weapon from her belt as her focus went back to Dimitri. The last time she had held this blade, really held it and used it, it had not gone well for her. The scars from her encounter with Anora ached in reaction to the memory, but Nia frowned in response.

Eenia had only lost that battle because she had been too prideful in her own capabilities with the Force. Not that she was upset about the results now, she was quite glad her sister was still alive after all. But that didn't change what had happened, what she had done, and what it had cost her in the end.

The yellow blade hissed to life, illuminating Nia's features for just that moment before she lunged forward. She was at least quick, but there was hesitation in her movements - the way she wielded the blade - as well as a hitch in her leg once in a while. She was not sloppy by any means, her strikes were well calculated and executed, but she was most definitely unrefined, raw and ripe for shaping.

He had his work cut out for him.

She may have been able to keep herself alive, but her movements were lacking. He did not even have to move much to deflect her blows. She was holding back.

Dimitri allowed her to press the attack for a bit, but she wasn't pressing it like she could have. Eventually he moved with lightning speed, stepping around her in a blur that was faster than a mere Force movement, catching her free hand in a grip behind her back while holding his saber to her throat.
"That is how quickly you can be dead." he whispered in her ear. She smelled nice, being this close to her. But other than that, her energy called to him. His canines elongated ever so slightly.

When this happened, he let go and put space between him and her.
"Now show me what you can really do." he said, twirling his lightsaber before dropping back in his dueling stance. His head was clearing, thank Hoth. Scaring his new protegee this early would not do.

He had his donors that freely offered some of their Force to him. But this would have been different. In the last century, he had ceased any and all rampages. It was not advisable wipe out an entire planet, depleting his entire food source and forcing him to move on. That was a very dark time of his centuries long life.

RedM.png

tealnboom.png

It was unreal. The speed of movement was something she had never seen before, hell she didn't even really see it now. Eenia just knew that at one moment, Dimitri had been stood in front of her, deflecting her approach with flawless ease, and the next moment he was behind her in a position that could have killed her in an instant. Yet the quickened pace of her heart had nothing to do with fear. For the first time in much too long, Nia felt the odd stirrings of attraction. A sensation that she was quick to squash and push away, but it had been there regardless. The last time she had let her guard down to another person had not ended well for her, and she would never again make that mistake.

Dueling however, were mistakes she couldn't just get past. Nor could she unsee the image of him moving the way he had done. It was unnatural...why hadn't she taken the time to try and study his Force signature before? Well, drinks and the party atmosphere they had been surrounded by was the likely answer there. But perhaps it was because she knew this man was aligned with the Dark, and Nia knew her own history when it came to dealing with those on one side or the other. She was easily tainted, and knew as such. So perhaps some part of her knew that if she had taken the time to try and read Dimitri, she would not be here now. And she needed this.

So when he moved away and retook his stance, Eenia exhaled slowly through her nose as she readjusted herself as well. When she was given the go ahead, the blonde moved, but it wasn't physically. One moment she was stood across from Dimitri, the next she was behind him, lightsaber pressed as close to his back as it could get without actually causing his clothing any damage. She had teleported, which was something she did not like to do considering where she had learned it. But he wanted to see what she was capable of, and this was where to start - since she obviously wasn't here to show off her healing skills.

Ah, there it was.

The element of surprise he knew she suppressed. If he was only a Sith Lord, he probably would not have seen the teleportation coming, so he allowed her that victory.
"Well done." he chuckled while holding up both hands, his saber deactivated but still in his one hand. "Where did you go digging for that, my dear?" he asked, his back still towards her.

He wanted to see how she did with surprises.

With inhuman speed, he whirred around and ignited his lightsaber while bringing his hand down at her head. At the same time, he sent a small Force Push towards her with his free hand.

Moving a bit slower to give her time, Dimitri stepped to the side, falling back to defensive to see how she'd react. She had promise, but if she had to ever have to stand against a Force user that was only mildly as powerful as he was, she'd perish.
"Move your feet." he told her. "Don't fear the Force. Use it. Even the Light Side has its power." he explained while keeping his lightsaber up to deflect.

It was natural for a Dark Sider to try and corrupt the Light in someone, but Dimitri felt oddly compelled to keep her on the right side of neutral rather than have her plummet into the abyss where he was. Preserving the Light within her was paramount. He did not want her to end up on a bloodshed rampage like he did centuries ago.

She didn't want to answer. She had known that question would come up though; teleporting was something typically linked directly with the Dark, though that was only part of the reason Eenia didn't do it often, or talk about it. She frowned in response and huffed out a breath in almost stubbornness as she fought with herself over whether or not she should answer. But, she was here to learn, and full disclosure was needed for trust...

"I learned from someone who is no longer in or apart of my life." she answered, a little curtly though the tone was by no means directed at Dimitri. It was just a distasteful subject for Nia, and she most certainly didn't care to discuss it much further than that.

Not that, that was an issue. Not an instant later and she heard that lightsaber ignite. Nia's brow creased nearly all the way down until it touched. When had he moved? She hadn't seen him move again and once more it was an unnatural thing. This time however her own hands moved, bringing up a Force shield to protect her body from whatever was coming physically from him and help absorb the Force push that had been aimed her way. The shield absorbed most of the contact but still slid her back some, though at least she kept her footing and didn't land on her backside.

"I'm not afraid of the Force," she answered only once she was sure that Dimitri was actually across from her again. She had quite the natural connection with the Force after all. "But I've seen what happens to myself when I use it offensively. It comes from a dark place, strong but dark." Her head shook, but she wasn't dumb enough to let her guard down. "That dark place has made me do things I regret, a lot..."

He heard her tone when he asked her about the teleportation.

It was clear the lady did not want to discuss it any further. For now, he silently conceded. Yet, he knew that will have to get past that block at some point to reach her full potential.

After he had moved, she gave further explanation regarding her use of the Force. He listened intently, straightening up from his duel stance. After she spoke, he deactivated his lightsaber and spread his arms.
"Tell me about them. Or show me. Take out that frustration. For whatever it is, it is clouding your true use of the Force. It could mean your death should you face someone like me one day." he told her.

It was clear she had a dark history in her short life. Him being Sith, did not help things. But he was her best chance at survival should she ever be thrown into combat again. He was no longer the tyrant Sith of centuries ago that would push his students past the point of breaking, bending them to his will. The woman that stood in front of him did not deserve it, either.

He will, however, push harder if he has to. She wanted to be proficient in bladework.
"You want to learn bladework, do you not?" he asked. "If you truly want to be more proficient, you need to stop being scared of what could happen if you went offensive. I can teach you what to be aware of, to avoid to fall to the Darkness once more. Who better to learn that from than a Sith, hm?" He had grown stern. He would never be the abusive Master to her that he was to others or the one he had, but he would not be the complacent, non caring Master either.

Of course he wanted to know more. Why had she opened her mouth and even hinted at her reasoning, much less just outright said anything over the matter? "I don't like what it does to me." No, that wasn't true, not the in the least little bit, and Eenia made a distasteful face, as if the words actually tasted foul in her mouth. Something would not allow her to be dishonest with him. "That's not true," she admit, frowning as she did so. "I enjoyed having that edge. That element of surprise that no one expects of or from me of all people." She used her free hand to gesture to herself. "I ripped a Mandalorian's starship apart, and it didn't even wind me. I had my own sister bested in combat because I can reach places with the Force that she can't."

Then she paused, and her frown deepened as the arrogance of the moment left her posture. "And then I used my sister's biggest phobia to nearly kill her, and would have had she not somehow gotten the best of me in the process."

Nia took a steadying breath, and her resolve hardened again. "I know where the lines are. I can feel it when the lines become blurred. I've danced along that line between Light and Dark for years now, knowing exactly where real power is waiting for me. It's waiting for me to reach out and embrace it again, and so yes." she set her chin as she gazed across the space between herself and Dimitri now. "That terrifies the hell out of me..."

He listened as she finally spoke her heart.

He knew how alluring the Dark Side can be. He had fallen to its courtship many centuries ago. It was indoctrinated to its power when he was quite a young boy. With all his dealings with those of the Light Side, he had thought them quite resilient to resist that allure to the best of their abilities.

So her fear about how tempting it can be, was a valid one. The Sith part of him wanted him to seize that fear and utilise it for his own ends. But he was also tired of all the corruption and carnage. He did not want to corrupt her any further then she already was. He would rather enable her to fight that Darkness than to succumb to it.
He lifted his chin. "Then fight it! Fight for good! Fight me!" he said.

With that, he moved again in a blur, ending up behind her. Summoning a ball of Darkness, he gave her only a brief warning.
"Defend!" he said, then hurled the ball at her.

As it approached her, black tendrils reached out to her. Simultaneously, he moved again. The sound of his lightsaber igniting a second before ending up against her throat once more as he stood right behind her.
"The Sith never play fair, my dear. Strengthen your Light to such an extent that you don't have to dance on the line." he said, close to her ear once more.

His reaction had most certainly not been one that Eenia had been expecting. Though to be fair, she wasn't sure what to expect when it came to this man. He had agreed to teach her, to train her, and while she had spent an entire evening and into wee hours before daybreak getting to know him, that still did not mean that Nia knew what to expect from him. Social worlds and training worlds were two very different planes of existence, after all.

So when he had suddenly moved in that strange way that he did once again and called for her to defend? Nia did not hesitate. Immediately she protected herself, surrounding her frame with that shield she was all too good with. And once more he moved, but this time she had anticipated the movement and was ready for him. His lightsaber came near her throat for only a brief moment before Eenia's body slipped through the veil once again to move her from one place to the other. Her own lightsaber ignited as soon as she was visible again and she had taken a stance to defend herself if (or when) he came at her again.

"Neither have any of the Jedi I have ever met." she point out to him about playing fair. Sure, the Jedi embodied the Light in most cases, but in her experience, fairness was only something considered if they were already winning.

She was learning.

She had successfully defended against his attacks. She had stepped through time again and was waiting for him, lightsaber at the ready. She went on to say that Jedi also did not play fair. A smile spread on his lips.
"I never said you had to be Jedi, now did I, my dear?" he asked. "Make your own way. Be your own Light." he added with a flourish.

He then straightened up, deactivating his lightsaber.
"I think that was enough for one night. No use exhausting you in one lesson." he teased, the smile still on his lips as he clipped his saber back on his belt.

He then swept his arm to the entrance to the arena.
"Let's finish this night on a sweet note - some caffeine and chocolate would go down well, I think." he suggested before moving to the entrance himself. Savante got up from where was napping next to the hedge, ready to follow his master back into the manor.

Inside, he led the way to the kitchens.
"I usually sneak into the kitchens and indulge in some of the chef's high en chocolates when the household is sleeping." he said softly as they moved through the halls, an impish, boyish light in his dark eyes.

She had been expecting him to come at her, to keep her on her toes, thus why her stance remained. When he commented about the Jedi, Eenia made a slight face in response. "No, you did not." she agreed about him having not said anything about her being Jedi. "I was merely stating that they're not the more pure of either path."

To have him then go on to say that their lesson was done for the night? Nia's brow creased slowly and she very slowly lowered her guarded stance. It wasn't until she was completely sure that they were through that her lightsaber was deactivated, though she kept it in hand just in case. She was not a fool after all and was all too aware that anything could change in an instant.

However....

"Chocolate?" her gaze sharpened just a tad, her brows rose, and for just a short time her lips parted as she seemed to consider whether or not she had heard correctly. While still mindful of where she was and whose company she was in, Nia followed him to the door, and then stepped within. The temperature difference wasn't much, but it was enough of a change to line her skin with goosebumps as she first waited and then followed along behind this Master.

"I am all for raiding the kitchens for good chocolate." Normally Eenia didn't have a sweet tooth, but bring chocolate into the equation? Well then, she was all game then.

A smile spread on his lips at her reaction of chocolate.

Clearly she had one sweet weakness. He would have to scratch for the good ones then. Savante trotted ahead, already knowing where his master was going at this time, his claws tacking across the wooden floors.

After a few twists and turns, the reached the decadent kitchens. He pulled out a chair for her at the island.
"Have a seat, my dear. Would you like some caffeine as well?" he asked her as he flicked on the caffeine maker before he started rummaging through a cooling compartment for some of his chef's best dessert stuffs.

When he finally got what he was looking for, he set a plate of finely decorated dessert chocolate before her and a pot of caffeine along with mugs. He then pulled up a chair himself and sat across from her.
"Now tell me, what is it you have against the Jedi?" he asked her as poured himself a cup of caffeine.

He expected her to retract again at his question, but he cared little. If he was to be her Master, then he had to start breaking through those barriers pretty soon, or it could hinder any more development in her skill.

Eenia had followed along behind, observing her surroundings as she went. While it wasn't a necessarily long trip from where they had been to these kitchens, the blonde made sure she observed and kept track of where she was and where they were going. She did occasionally watch in front of her, leaned ever so slightly to see both Master and the beast ahead of him, but it was only fleeting looks all the way to the kitchens.

Another location that made her stop just within the space so that she could gawk, and feel silly doing as such. "This place is incredible..." and she of course was not just speaking about the kitchen. The whole entirety of this place continued to catch her off guard and blow her mind. While she had seen the Jedi Temple on Kashyyyk, and had seen lovely homes in her day, never before had she personally witnessed a home like this one. Perhaps she was easily pleased and/or surprised, but that was not exactly a bad thing, really.

Still, her focus was pulled when the chair was set out for her, and Nia went to it to take a seat. When asked about caffe, the blonde nodded her head vigorously for just a moment. "Yes, please." She most certainly could use the small boost right about now. She wasn't particularly tired, but she would be once the shock and awe wore off if she didn't prepare for it now.

All was quiet for a time, long enough for her to be looking around once again to take in what this large kitchen had to offer. Nia herself enjoyed to bake things - or rather, used to when she was still home on Denon with her family...Thankfully, she didn't have time to dwell on such thoughts, though the question asked of her caused her smile to wane just a tad. "It isn't the Jedi as a whole that I have an issue with," she made sure to point out. "I know quite a few who are exceptional people. Unfortunately, it only takes one to taint a person's perspective of a certain collective." She made quite an unattractive face, and looked away for the moment because of it.

Nia's cup was pulled to her in that moment, giving her an excuse to keep her gaze turned away long enough to correct her expression. "I was a foolish, naive child, who let the wrong person get entirely too close to me, and I paid dearly for it. And at the end of the day, when the smoke cleared, there were only a couple of people who took the time to reach out and attempt to help me through it. To help me heal. It was a harsh lesson in learning who you can really rely on, and who you can trust."

Her expression darkened as she brought her cup up closer to her face. "And it most certainly taught me to keep anyone with more than platonic intentions at arm's length." A dark thing for such a young woman, but it's not as if she didn't have good reasoning.

He was quite surprised at how quickly she responded.

He sipped his caffe as he listened to her speak her heart. It pained him to know that this lovely young woman in front of him had known so much darkness in the short time she had been alive. Her life had probably not been short for her, but to him the full life span of a human was still relatively brief.

He let her speak uninterrupted. When she had finished speaking, he regarded her for a few minutes. No person this young should be disappointed by humanity so heftily, should be so bitter towards life despite her light. After a while, he finally spoke.
"It saddens me to hear these things. However, you need not fear any of that here as long as I am training you." he finally told her. He has not been the stereotypical Master for many years now. and he did not intend to return to that soon.

He regarded her some more, before finally make a decision.
"You live in Theed, correct? Why don't you take a bit of a holiday and come stay here in Lake Country for a while? It really is a respite for the soul. A place of healing almost. You are welcome here for as long as you wish." he offered. He knew very well how stifling the city could be and how cramped a person could get with your own thoughts. His ghosts never let him go then.

He then finally got up after drinking the last of the bitter liquid in his cup.
"Now, my dear, it is getting late. You probably want to get some sleep?" he asked her. He did have a room made ready for her before she arrived. He was not fond of the idea of letting her fly back to Theed at night.

How many times had she heard those very same words? That she had nothing to fear, nothing to be concerned with now that she was in her new place? That no harm would come to her, that she was safe and sound in her new found place of existence. Honestly Eenia had lost count, and couldn't even remember all of the faces who had spoke such words to her. But, she was here for a reason, and this partnership could not blossom nor flourish if there was not trust between the pair of them. So while the smile on her face was a little tight due to the subject matter, the blonde nodded to him to assure that she understood.

And when the subject changed to where she resided, a thoughtful hum vibrated her throat and she turned her head in an attempt to find the nearest window - smoothly in the direction of Theed even if it of course couldn't be seen from here. She was certainly sharp, no one could accuse her otherwise. "Yes, and the city is noisy, but I think I've gotten used to it." she shrugged her shoulders and her gaze shifted back to him. The offer that followed her answer caught her a bit off guard, but really it made sense.

Nia was to be training, to be learning, the time it took to go to Theed and back every day would cut heavily into that time. And Nia knew that she needed all of the time she could get. "Alright," no fuss, no argument. She had weighed the options quickly and knew where she needed to be. Here. "Any particular places I need to steer far and clear from?" she made sure to ask; invited guest or not, this wasn't her home. And if there were places that she shouldn't be, she wanted to know about them before she managed to wander aimlessly into them.

But those were things he could answer while moving, certainly. Nia had finished her caffe and set the cup down gingerly, but she took up another chocolate to take along with her. "I think resting sounds like a good idea." and it did. To sleep some place quiet seemed like a really, really good idea to her all of a sudden. Maybe she would rest better than she had been lately in her place in Theed.
