Description:
Threatened by Dark Jedi, the Kathol a long time ago ran to saftey within their Lifewell. When once the Kathol were all trapped within the Lifewell, the Ta-ree magic became reality through their life energy the of the the species inside it. Thought forever trapped in the Lifewell by their own creation, the DarkStryder, a man named Halbert released them, the life energy that produced Ta-ree was also released and thus the magic was no longer usable. The Ta-ree magic allowed access to powers such as Shadowstrike, and PyroSpray, and though it was just another aspect of the Force, it as only usable within the Kathol System.
Eons later, a rogue Sith Lord descended to one of those Dark Jedi, attempted to bring back the Ta-ree magic through his own means. By shaving off a piece of the Lifewell, a crystalline organ, and trapping a Kathol soul he had murdered in it with the darkside of the force, he had produced a way to use Ta-ree again, and this time outside the Kathol System. This rogue Sith would end up following Romeo, unknown to him, who thought he was the original Dark Jedi. He had hoped to kill the Dark Jedi Master with the use of Ta-ree but failed utterly. Imprisoning the Sith on Rhen Var, and sustaining heavy wounds, Romeo found the shard on the Sith.
After looking at it through the Weave Romeo found that the shard felt as if it was alive, to which in many aspects, it is. Romeo visited his teacher within the Weave, a Lucent named Sol'ra'ina to learn on more about the shard and it's origins. Sol gave Romeo the run down on the Lifewell, and it's history. She explained the best she could about the magic Ta-ree, and the Lifewell's ability. Still not sure what this shard was, Romeo made his way to Rhen Var to interrogate the Sith.
When he arrived, the Sith seemed almost fanatical, and would not give up the information till after self dealing himself much pain. After explaining to Romeo about how he had forced the Kathol's soul into the Lifewell Shard, Romeo attacked him, demanding the Sith to released the Kathol. The Sith escaped from his shackled, and began to beat up Romeo, and cast Force Lighting on him. Through the use of the Force, Romeo was able to fight back, unintentionally killing the Sith who said he would tell Romeo how to release the soul if he killed him.
Afterwards, Romeo was being treated on a ship by Sol, she informed him that she believed the Weave was threading Romeo, and the Shard together as it seemed the soul inside was more than happy to be in the hands of someone who cared so much. The Lifewell Shard produced the life energy known as Ta-ree, and give's the possessor the ability to access that magic. But without knowing how to use the powers such as Shadowstrike, adn PyroSpray, it is pretty much useless. Romeo and this shard are attuned together, even going as far as to say a Force Bond was created with the trapped soul, and Romeo. So he simply holds onto it to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.
If placed into a lightsaber, it will produce a white blade, and give the user the ability to use Ta-ree within a ten meter radius. Without placing it in a lightsaber it just allows the user a ten meter radius ability to use Ta-ree. Purging this crystal with the lightside of the force, or potentially releasing the soul with the darkside will remove the Ta-ree magic it produces, but this can alter the crystal in ways unsure of at this time. Possible life draining can be achieved, or a strong lightside healing can be possible be achieved as well. But these are only speculations, and it is very possible nothing alters when removing the trapped Kathol soul in it. It new Kathol soul can not be placed within the crystal if the old one is released. Using the darkside to call on the Ta-ree magic can dwindle the radius by half, and even make the Ta-ree magic powers weaker than they could be.
