Closer to the Force

Location: Jensaarai Enclave

Tydus had found this new place of learning with his new friend [member="Ronen Jerik"], who was asleep in the dormitory that he just fixed up for him. He couldn't sleep much as he was too worried about the child who he promised to help. So instead of sleeping he went to the Archives, or at least that what he figured this place was. They were pretty barren, only text talking about the Jesaarai of old, their history, and basic techniques. He already learned most of these thing, such as controlled breathing, meditation, force levaration, and the ability to see vision. Though that last one he didn't have quite down.

He could tap into his dark urged, dipping his toes in the dark side as you could say. However he didn't have enough control over the force to fully use all the power he held within. All his untapped potential he could feel it, he just needed a way to be closer to the force.

It took hours of reading, mostly just rambles of dead defenders who thought they were fantastic writers, other incomplete works of teaching skills. Then he hit gold.

He read in a text that something called Alchaka, if practiced correctly could bring the user closer to the force. It even mentioned that even though it was an Apprentice level skill, master and grandmasters did it daily as something called "Movement Meditation". He would read up more on how to perform this ability correctly. It looked daunting, but he was determined.

*yawn!* Ronen woke up from his slumber, well rested and recovered from his long journey.
Though he could not see his surroundings. he could feel it was quite massive. but mostly contained books, from what Tydus told him.
"Better see if i can practice at all"
Ronen sat on the floor, and proceeded to meditate, desperately trying to connect with the force.
He sat there for a while, as Tydus continued his search.

He had finished reading through the text, the moves for the most part were very difficult as they were depicted in small visuals. He continued to search the archives for some kind of Datapad he could download the information. Yet there was nothing. Just old books, scrolls, and dated Datapad. The archives were a dead end, learning the technique with only descriptions of the moves would take months to learn, let alone master. He would have to go to the Training Room he saw earlier to at least practice the basics of the moves.

He walked down the set of stairs leading to the next level where the meditation chamber was, the training room was next to there. He had time earlier to explore the enclave, or at least the areas not caved in, like the Masters Chambers, the Councle Room, and the Burial Grounds. All were ok, as he didn't want the young one walking around to areas that had strong Dark Side Presence.

As he approached the raining grounds and used the locker room to change into lighter clothing, he noticed a Holo-Projector off in the corner. He had a small idea, maybe they stored the training holo-vids down here, where the trainers would have easy access. He looked around the area, and sure enough a Holo-Vid was in a locker. He plugged in his data cord and began studying the moves.

Tydus watched the move set and force gestures for a whole day and night, in between reading scripture to Ronen. Meditation and routine force exercises took up only a quarter of his day. The rest he was watching the Holo-Vid and working on Data that was sent to him. He was still an arms dealer, and he was still running a smuggling ring that was building into an empire. He needed to keep in contact with all his employees. He was lucky the Enclave had a planetary relay system or he would have had a tougher time.

He figured he had watched it enough to at least practice it, so he went for it and tried. The Training Room was a bit of a mess, so he cleaned it up as best he could. He considered this training, as his old master had him do such thing before. Tydus smiled as he heard his masters grumpy old voice say ,"Concentrate on the job at hand, if you can clean this mess hall in one try then you can lift a bolder the size of my ego, now back to work kiddo." The old man always thought the world would be a better place if one could strenghten your mind instead of your fist.

He finished cleaning the training room, now it was time to test out how well he watched those Holo-Vids.

He fell on his butt with a thud as his cybernetic limbs landed flat on the mated floor. His limbs were still fine and he had not malfunction with his limbs. He sat there breathing very heavily and hands planted on the ground, his body couldn't keep up. He had only made it through half the routine before he couldn't go any longer, he had to stop and rest. The concentration he needed to move his limbs and use the force alone were really taring his mind apart. Yet he wasn't going to give up, but it would be the end of practice. He had to go make food for him and Ronine.

He practiced every day from then on out, he was determined to finish the moving meditation and complete his training. It would take longe hours out of his day. He would cut back on data mining, eating, even sometime cut back on force meditation, the meditation he needed daily to keep his Force Concealment up every day. He broke all routine to at least finish this complex movement just once.

Every day though, he would have to hit the floor, breathing heavily and coming closes but still not finishing the complex movement.

Tydus woke up early the next day and prepared a meal for the boy he was now calling his friend. It had been a week since they found this new place they called home. It was starting to grow on him as a place to hold dear to him, but he knew he would have to leave. This was the life of a wonderer, to constantly look for the truth and Knowlage, tho in his mind they were he same.

This morning he decided to skip the trainin exercise, he figured he needed to increase his stamina to the next level before he could complete such a complex set of moves. With the rest of his time he stayed within the Meditation Chamber as he delved deeper into the force, making further connection through concentration. These were the things he lacked, and he needed to harden his training if he was to achieve a greater understanding of the truth about the force.

He made sure Ronine was taking his daily exercise of meditation and went for a 10 km run, then returning. After his run he would enter the training room and do 25 Force Lifts while hand standing, forcing himself to concentrate harder. Then he would move on to the exterior again, making sure to run up the flight of stairs and beat his previous times and without stopping. Once outside he would perform Force Listen and try and count the animals around him, then using Force Sight to confirm his count. If he was wrong, he would increase his next trading until he got it correct. The next set of exercises was his hardest, Push ups and Jumping jacks. Easy for most people, but Tydus had Metalic limbs and required the ultimate concentration to force his limbs to be in unison.

Once his exercise was complete he would clean himself up, stretch, and head out to gather and hunt food for Dinner and the next day's breakfast. He would continue this till he felt he was ready.

It had been two weeks no, Tydus still felt a little under prepared for the training he would proceed to do, but this would have to work. He needed to get stronger with the force to prepare himself for his next assignment the Force would send him on. It had been a long journey here, first his master disappeared, leaving him along again in the Galaxy, in his anger and fury he ran off to become an Arms Dealer. It made him a nice living as he had no wants or need, but he never spent his money on personal items, heck he never really touched the money. He just did it because he was bored with the world. It was dull, with sides fighting one another for superiority or higher causes, and where did that get them, Empires fell, Republics crumbled, all in the name of progress. The Galaxy was a chaotic place, finding true Knowlage and balance was the challenge the force has set before him.

He knew this the day he was sent those visions back on Conglomerate Prime, where he first heard the term Grey Jedi. This was where he was the closest he ever felt to the force. Both the light side and the dark side of the force spoke to him, his destiny was still a mystery, but that wouldn't stop him. The old man always said "The force was a mysterious think, but never let it control you, destiny is what you make of it."

He went back to the training room to try it another time, "Let's give this another try." He said to himself.

The day was ending, he stood in the middle of the training room, he had done it, he completed the movement for the first time. As he inhaled he could feel the force enter his body. He felt more fulfilled and accomplished then anything he had done before. He stood up and as his mind and body were covered in sweat, he did not feel weak. Maybe it was because he was a cyborg, but it felt like more, like the power he was feeling was flowing through him everytime he took a breath.

He didn't have all the movement nailed perfectly, and he still felt this way, his mind was still processing all the movement he had gone through. He would need to practice more to perfect those skills he just learned. Without a master he had accomplished an impossible task, all with determination, the force was an interesting thing.

He cleaned himself up and stretched, thinking the whole time of where he messed up, and how he could improve. He needed to head out to gather some food for the next day. He could continue his practice tomorrow.

Tydus had spent 6 months in this enclave. He had learned a lot, even training in some of the Dark Side techniques that were still within the archives. The one thing he was defiantly trying to strive at was to Alchaka, a difficult set of movements and force stances, that would exhausting to him by the end of it. Yet when he completed the movements correctly he felt even closer to the force. As he took his deep breaths he could feel the force entering and exiting his body. The pulsation of his veins only felt like the force flowing through the winds, and his sweat became cold as the force blew past him.

He realized that these movements were to clear his ming, focusing only at one thing at a time. When the movement was over and the training was over, his mind was completely blank. He felt completely at balance, as both the dark side and light neatly flowed through him, when he used the force in smaller abilities, it was a mixture of both light and dark, making a cool grey vibration. Was this what it meant to be a Grey Jedi?

He hated that word though, a Jedi, he didn't want to be apart of those who were to scared to test and question their beliefs. Dark Siders were their enemy, and required to either be converted or eliminated. He embtaced both passion and peace, hope and sadness, there were what made them alive, and disturbing the balance was what created chaos, he knew that now.

Tydus stood there in the middle of the training room, dripping sweat and running down his cybernetic limbs. His chest was bare as he preferred to feel closer to the force around him. This was his first time trying it this way, and now he had completed the movements perfectly. His body could not move as every sensation around him was overloaded with the flow of the force that was around him. He was filled with happiness as he had completed it at last.

Then the vision occurred. He was no longer in the underground enclave, he was atop a mountain. The snow and wind howled as it passed him by. He was not cold even though he was bare chest and the wind was ice cold, he felt nothing, only saw. There was a pyramid building, like that he saw on Conglomerate Prime. It called to him, emitting grey waves of light off its shell. It pulsated through the force, beating like the heard of a man who sprinted 30 meters. It tried to reach for it, but he couldn't lift his hands, more could he talk. He blinked once as he couldn't keep his eyes open forced.

As he opened them again, the man in grey stood before him again, and again it was like looking through the mirror of time. Tydus was shocked to see him again, was this what the force had in store for him?

The grey man spoke, "Search for the Da Bandu, to control your dark urged you must find them." His eyes became heavy again, he could not keep them open. He had a million questions, and again he returned to where he was before, the training room. His answered would have to wait, he needed to speak to an old friend, find a safe place for Ronen to complete his training.

Then his path would continue, again.
