TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sealed and pressurised crew compartment
  • High quality cameras with glasteel covers instead of traditional viewports
  • Various vision modes for each crew member
  • Secure, high-powered comms suite
  • Independent life support and artificial gravity
  • High-powered reactor and secondary generator
  • Secure scanner and sensor suite with an ECM system
  • Laminanium layer in composite armour to seal any breaches in the fighting compartment
  • Internal isolated storage space for rations, crew effects, and a drinking water tank.
  • Autosteady gyro-gimbal built into the main guns and repeaters, with an autoloading system for secondary armament.
  • Sophisticated targeting system connected to all onboard weapons.

STRENGTHS
  • Sealed: The tank has plenty of systems in place to keep the crew safe and allow them to fight in a variety of environments.
  • Firepower: The vehicle’s turret has been swapped out for a powerful howitzer, providing it with incredible firepower along with the chassis’ own armament.
  • Storage: Instead of a passenger section, the tank features an ammunition rack with storage for several main gun shells.
  • Repulsors: Utilizing repulsorlifts for propulsion, the tank can navigate a variety of terrains very smoothly and easily.

WEAKNESSES
  • Coating: The triprismatic polymer coating is only meant to keep its signature low, not to camouflage the tank entirely.
  • Unstable: If the tank is destroyed, the reactor and sheer amount of ordnance and ammunition could cause a catastrophic explosion.
  • Unbalanced: Due to the balancing of the vehicle, its manoeuvring response is more sluggish than its counterpart.
  • Space: The passenger compartment, as well as a good chunk of the storage compartment, has been converted to store more shells for the main gun.

DESCRIPTION
In order to provide Confederate forces with reliable and powerful artillery support, a program was commissioned to design a howitzer that could be easily mounted on the existing AAT chassis while more dedicated weapons are designed. The result for this stop-gap solution is the CM-22 Armoured Assault Howitzer

The CM-22 AAH is meant to provide medium range artillery as quickly and as accurately as possible from just behind front lines. The howitzer turret can be easily swapped onto a tank chassis in the field with minimal modification, however dedicated vehicles are also provided to accommodate the enormous cannon better than a standard AAT chassis.

While meant to stay out of direct combat, the AAH is more than capable to act as an assault gun right alongside troops in the field.
