Haon Hafey created the Warstrike to use for the full abilities of the Lightning Cannon designed from Callum Saville. While difficult to use, it was outfitted with multiple small reactors to accommodate the energy drain but even then, it still takes quite a bit of time. Testing against defective droids considered enemies of the Brotherhood of the Maw, they were found extremely effective and something to use in the case of others.
