BIOGRAPHY:
At age of 10, her parents died and left her and her twin brother, Velox, to fend for themselves. They were uncertain where to go, what to do and what the Force was. A merchant friend of the parents allowed the twins to accompany him on his space travels. They were exposed to many different cultures and planets, granting them the ability to observe the vastness of the galaxy. They stuck with the merchant until they were 12.

A few months after their 12th birthday, the merchant visited Dathomir to conduct some trade. While there, the young twins were introduced to some of the Dathomirian Witches. The Witches noticed their gift of the Force, and offered the merchant to train them for a few years. The merchant himself did not understand the Force, nor how to help the Force sensitive twins. After considerable consideration and eager responses from the twins, he consented for them to stay. The Witches of Dathomir brought Coccina and Velox to the Bright Sun Clan.
Training was quite rigorous for the twins, who weren’t used to doing much work ever. Coccina focused more on the ‘spells’ with the females, while Velox was trained by the males in more fighting skills. It took quite a while and much training for the twins to overcome their fear of the dark, and even then, they still don’t prefer to be in dark places. Every few year, their merchant friend would come and visit to make sure the twins were doing well. However, his trips became less and less frequent, until they stopped altogether.
Many years after their arrival, both twins had grown stronger in their training, and soon wished to depart and travel. They caught a ride with another merchant and flew away from what they considered their home.
