Bridge of the Marauder-class Corvette "Reborn"
The gentle beeping of the bridge rooms door being opened allowed Captain Gaki to glance back for a brief moment at the more armored figure that approached the room, giving a very brief nod as he knew it was all business. Allowing him to observe the bridge and his molty crew, he would keep staring forward as he did not fear the man on the bridge, at least, not on his own ship. As he got to the tactical display, he would move his fingers as part of the display changed before them as he started to explain the data before them. It would enlarge a tactical readout of the ship that was before them along with known vulnerabilities with the design.
"Greetings Mr. Cantor. Our mission is to secure the vessel known as the Durasteel Petal. She is a Hammerhead Corvette, Scout varient and apparently partly modified to hold a rather large cargo hold. Due to the unique nature of the objective, it would most likely be fitting if we can just obtain the vessel in question instead of hauling out all the cargo piece by piece while authorities bear down upon us. When it arrives, the Marauder will hold it in tractor while also blasting it with turbolaser fire to disable the ship. While this is going on, you along with twenty marines will board an ATR-Six Gamma Assault Shuttle known as Gamma One. You are to go on board and take over the corvette which we estimate has between ten to twenty personal. We will fend off any form of assault around your shuttle to your destination with our starfighter squadron on board known in fireteams Beta One, Two and Three. Once you reach the Durasteel Petal, it is up to you where you wish to board as our team is specialized in boarding operations so all you have to do is pick a spot on the vessel though preferably away from any form of turrets."
As this goes on, the diagram would shift several times as it would show the starfighter fireteams in different sections, escorting while showing percentage of odds of survival which were extremely high. As it would go on, there was a slow beep as Captain Gaki would glance back as he made a motion with his right hand as a countdown timer would commence for two minutes as he would go back onto explaining in better detail, abiet faster.
"Seems they are arriving so going to give a very brief way to take ships over. Once you are inside, you can either take the main bridge, the emergency bridge or the engineering room. Those are also the importance of each room to be taken, making engineering the last resort measure. Once you are in any of those rooms, my marines will do the proper procedures to ensure the ship is taken over. Now this last part is very important, should you need to do an emergency jump, make sure you turn off the hyperdrive safety...else you will not go anywhere in a ship that size for a short hop. Got it? Trust me, it is easier that way but...hold onto something when you do i-damn it already here! ALL HANDS MAN STATIONS! Mr. Cantor! You are now needed in the hanger bay!"
Near the end, the Durasteel Petal would exit out of hyperspace directly into their view, almost directly colliding with them as they sat just a bit to close. There was a general whine as he walked forward towards the view screen as the tractor beams would engage to attempt to hold it into place. The loud whir from the inside would circulate as there was a smirk across Captain Gakis face as he noticed the Durasteel Petal going the opposite direction as he looked over at his gunners nearby. They seemed worried as Captain Gaki would then glance back as he noticed it started to move further away as he spoke out loud.
"Why is it getting further away! Pull it back!"
"Sir, we aren't pulling it...it is pulling us!"
At that moment, the entire Marauder would lurch forward violently as people would slam into either the bulkheads or the nearby furniture, Gaki himself flying back into his own chair backwards. Giving a loud grumble, he turned to see the laser turrets blasting back towards the Marauder as it would smash against the shields and suddenly, the tractor beam would flucate as it would throttle the Marauder forward again. Gaki would start screaming out to increase power to the forward shields and just start opening fire onto the engines as the turbolasers roared out from inside, traveling outwards to the Hammerheads rear engines, the starfighters now coming into view as they had now MagPulse missiles which hopefully would due some good. Before the starfighters could even reach their destination, Captain Gaki would scream out as he was getting more irritated.
"Can anyone on this ship shoot straight?! Also why are we not hol-"
Then, as if a freak accident had occurred, a single turbolaser shot pierced through the shields and into one of the intakes of the main engines, going into the reactor room. The result was a massive explosion in front of the viewing screen and for those in the hanger bay, a nice eruption of red as the Marauder would then lurch backwards due to the now sudden and much more powerful holding pull as the whine for bracing for impact. Finally after several moments, the Reborn would settle itself as the Durasteel Petal was now sitting in space, held in by two different tractor beams with scars of battle from just the backside, almost no damage elsewhere. The intercomn would open up as he spoke rather briefly, almost as if a bit humbled but at the same time pained, not wanting to announce he was just thrown backwards over his own chair when that occurred.
"To the gentle being that made that shot, I owe you a case of beer. Gamma One, you are now clear to take off and engage with the enemy. Beta One, Two and Three, escort Gamma One out. Apparently the Durasteel Petal is also cycling a reactor, may take some time for anything to be charged up so pick your spot wisely Mr. Cantor."
The Intercomn would soon turn off as the crew around were almost giving themselves pats on the back, all but the marines as they still had a job to do and Captain Gaki himself, whom would watch the hyperdrive interceptor monitor for any form of oncoming traffic, hopefully being left alone for once.
