Combat and Subtleties of the Mind

Belgerath stood clad in his standard black robes and a blindfold over his 'eyes', his trenchcoat off to the side with a training sword in hand at a sparring room in the Coruscant Sith Temple. It was roughly mid day, with the normal amount of people out and about at the time. He himself was waiting for an opponent. A person to fight. He was not looking to simply spar another oppoent though. Belgerath wanted to try and get into the head of his opponent. Attempt to read them and then figure out how to distract them. It was an idea he had after a Dun Moch training session, and reading a book about Echani martial arts. Attempting to manipulate another person's mind and use words or an action to make them slip up.

The idea in and of itself was nothing new, it was in fact rather basic. But that was the point. This line of practical, basic manipulation intrested him, even if he did not have all the skills as of yet to properly pull it off. Everything must, after all, start from something. So he wanted for an opponent to fight, of any skill, rank, or caliber to test his own mettle. His victory was not one that would be acheived through beating his opponent. But managing to grasp their thought process even once, for just a single instant. That would be his own personal victory.

How far he could take this idea, at his current abilities, was yet to be seen. Regardless of all of that however, he stood in the sparring room openly looking for challengers.

Still nothing was the same as it would be if this could be a colder planet as she did embrace the cold better, it was as if she was heartless by any means. Knowing that there was fire that ran in her blood. It was the Godness Warrior she worship that told a lot, of who she was in this special gift that the godness herself blessed her with.

Wondering now as if anything to test her skills or more likely to improve on her skills. Following down the hallway that would lead towards the place that one could only hope there would be someone worthy of challenging her skills today. Even those her weapon of choice was still her bow, which was now just as deadly weapon as anything out there. The sword was still giving her some trouble. Her skills had improved since coming to this temple and being on the path of an assassination still she had a long ways to go.

There she was today going to hold her own and seek what needed to be done that was to face down another fellow in the order. Maybe even a warrior as she had found a few that was worthy to be called this Gift from the Warrior God himself. Finding herself to the task at hand, knowing now that she needed to stand strong and not show fear bring that Viking space warrior out call upon the goddness herself.

Walking in she saw that someone was already there, this curved a smirk upon her lips. "I see the Goddness has bless me with a sparing opponent."

Belgerath looked over to the woman who approached him with such words. "So it would seem. Since you are looking for an oppoent, i will gladly take you on." He said boldly, holding up his training sword and stepping into a ring. He was rather impaitent for a fight, which wasn't... Normal, for Belgerath. He didn't dislike the feeling though, of getting excited and lusting for a good fight. Perhaps his sith side was just getting the better of him.

Various weapons for training were off to a rack on the side with more or less whatever one might want. Assuming she accepted, he pointed over to the weapons and asked her a question. "Will you be getting one of those or using a weapon of your own?" Belgerath asked, tightening his brown blindfold across his 'eyes' a bit more to psyche himself up a bit for what he was about to try and do.

This only brought a joy of a curve to her lips. Feeling that rush of him was that of a warrior with in him wanting to do battle. This was what she bathed herself in. After all she came from a warrior culture one that told of greatly one that might be worth this one time. Even so she let her eyes go lazy over to the weapons of choice before coming to rest her hand upon her weapon that she pick up. A sword that seem to fit in her hand if not a bit on the bigger side which mean her muscle would have to work.

I think this one will take the calling of the noble blade.

The beating of her heart now quicken up to the fact that there wasn't much to do but step in the circle to give this one what his inner self was screaming out. That was a battle that what she would give him.

When ever you ready,

"Very well then.... I am ready." Belgerath said with a little bow after she stepped into the ring and said she was ready. Immediantly after his bow, he did not hesitate to begin the fight. Initially they were out of range of each other, roughly two normal steps away from each other. Belgerath took a bold step forward into attacking range and lashed out with a quick slash at her left side.

The attack itself was a rather normal Shii-Cho opening move, so there was nothing special as far as the move itself went. The attack was more speed then power because the build of Belgerath's body. He was more for agility rather than strength, so while the speed might be suprising, the strength and force would be lower. Mentally, Belgerath took an early guess.

'She will block or parry and try to force my attack away with strength, and then attack the opening'. That is what he was guessing would take place before he made the attack. This was purely conjecture from the fact that she had picked a heavier looking blade. Besides that sole fact, he had nothing else to base this idea on. Though, even if his idea was correct, it was not likely he could take any advantage from it. He wasn't trained to do that yet. But he could try and guess the move she might make, in order to learn more. After all, even if he learned he was wrong, that was still a valueable thing to know.
