Coming Closer

It seemed like the next few days passed by like lightning to Bryn. She had been quite correct when she said to Zaiden that he had many things to teach her. These days and nights of bliss and what felt like to her happiness lingered, but now it was time to get some real work done.

Opening her eyes she stretched and rolled on her side to look at Zaiden for a moment before getting out of bed. There were a few marks on her on body from her surgeries. They had all healed long ago and weren't very noticeable. The scars were a part of her she couldn't change and she had just accepted them.

Feeling the eyes of him on her, she stopped and turned to look at him. She had started to laugh and smile, show him something more than the stoic neutral person he had met. She ran a hand through her short and lowered it. Feeling no shame standing there, she knew something was changing about her.

Maybe it was the Force newly awakened within her or something else entirely. It wasn't anything she could put her finger on and just decided to let it go and figure it out later.

"What's the agenda for you today?"

Giving him one of her new smiles, she was intentionally trying to tempt him.

Not moving from the bed, or even flexing an appendage, he used the Force to yank her back toward him on the bed. Catching her, he would place a load of kisses all upon her face, neck, ears, hair, hands, all of her that he could reach. After several silent minutes he sighed, “Fine. Agenda…. Uhm… I dont know. Maybe we can go somewhere for the fun of it.”

Finally rising from himself, once more he tapped the Force to place her on her feet. He moved to get dressed, being as he was only in undergarments. Once properly aesthetically pleasing, he would look to her.

“What would you like to do today?” He would put a lot of emphasis on the word you, so he would convey that he wanted her decision this time.

After the last few days, Zaiden could and had reached pretty much all of her. She was not at all ticklish, but she did laugh at his antics. They stopped and for a few minutes they laid there silently, but Bryn was running her hands on any part of him she could reach.

He had on more than she did, but when he got up and then got her up, she got the idea. Putting on her clothes, she thought about what she wanted to her and came to a decision.

"A couple of things."

She sat down in the edge of the bed to put her shoes on and when she was done, she leaned back and looked at him.

"I want to start learning how to expand the gift you gave me and then well, learn more about me. If that makes sense."

Her eyes looked down a moment as she was thinking if that was the best way to put what she wanted to do and furrowed her brows a bit.

He nodded thoughtfully, “We can definitely begin some training. Its about time you began learning the basics at least.” It was always best to start after founding potential. Even for himself, he did not know he was Force sensitive until near his thirties. But it took little time to become someone worth knowing even with the age issue.

“The question is what you want to learn to do.” He lay down on the bed, resting his head against her thigh. Looking up at her, past the swell of her chest, “I think the actual basics is what is best, such as sensing the Force as it is, learning to connect to it, then moving on. Moving things, sensing incoming dangers.”

It wasnt a question of how to teach her, he knew, it was when and it which order. Some people think just throwing lesson after lesson, rapid fire without interest, is the best way. But from his personal experience one needed planning, a little finesse.

"There is a beginning to everything and that is where one should begin. So basics sound good."

She also felt these was a need to figure out what her strengths and weaknesses would be. Anything dealing with electricity was probably out of the question, but those were just a small portion of what could be accomplished.

Running her fingers through his hair, she was silent and just looked at him as he spoke. It seemed they agreed on the basics and a smile greeted him. Something small coming from a woman getting used to showing emotions. In a way, she was undoing the programming that had been given to her even though she was not a droid.

"Your world here is amazing and I would like to know more of it and about you, Zaiden."

"I was as dark as the worst legends, and now I am not." Zaiden laughed, he shrugged, "Maybe you can get to know more about me, by earning it." He winked then rose from his position, a look of regret as he glanced at the lap he had just vacated. But then he turned and led her from the home out into the front yard of the Estates. He gestured for her to sit, and did so himself.

"The first thing, as any good master should do, is to learn about touching the energies." He waved around them slowly, a broad sweep of the arm, "Everything that is anything possess the Force. All you need to do is begin to sense the weaving spiderweb that connects it all.

"The easiest way I can think to assist, as you come with a cheat sheet of sorts, is to sense the bond between us." Holding out his hands, palms up, he did something he never had. Sensing the connection himself, he brought it to corporeality via conjuring a light that overlaid when he sensed in his head. It was a wiggling snake of energy that could be seen now, but still symbolized the relationship they had begun only recently.

"You need to learn to sense that." He dropped it from existence, "Close your eyes. Reach out your senses, all of them, then slowly but sure close yourself off from them. Make your mind chip away at what it knows, until they are not there. Then what remains will be your connection to the Force.

"I personally sense our connection as a hum that distorts between us. It is a bit of... a wave of sound that I can hear without ears. Though I have a cheat in my favor, originally I was half Miraluka, so i naturally had an affinity toward Force use." He smiled, "You try.."

The information he shared about himself was something Bryn had already figured out. When he said she would have to earn knowing about him, she wondered what he meant exactly and decided it was something she would ask about later. Following him from the room, she walked next to him and got a better look at what was there.

Still not thinking what he possessed was anything bad, she liked what was there. Zaiden was the kind of person that knew what he wanted and didn't worry about what others thought of him. It was something she could really appreciate and totally agree with.

Sitting down on the ground with him, she still moved with that fluid grace. Her eyes met his as he spoke and looked down when he held his hands out. He conjured an illusion of their connection and suggested she reach out and try to feel that. In doing what he suggested, she would have to shut herself off from everything external. The last thing that would remain would be that connection.

"That is going to take a bit of time."

What he suggested was not like anything Bryn had ever tried. Smiling when she learned just a little bit more about him, she would remember it.

"I am simply an enhanced human."

All of her life previous to her change was erased and filled with fabricated lies. They all weaved together so well it seemed as natural to her as breathing was. Closing her eyes, she pushed any extra thoughts out of her mind and focused internally. The hard part for her was tuning out the sound around her.

It took time, but eventually she succeeded. Finally when she did, she could feel that gift in her and focused on that alone. Not having any further instruction in what to do, she just sat there holding hands now (not knowing that is was happening) and explored what she felt.

Waiting a time, after her silence began, he cracked an eye and then grinned. Slowly detaching his hands while she concentrated, he began to tickle her slightly to gauge her reactions. Lost to the senses as she was, he grinned wider and rose to his feet. Moving around behind her, he sat and spread his legs so she rested snugly between them. With that he reached his hands around her waist and held her tight. She would be in for a surprise when she came back to the here and now. That was for sure.

It didn't help his attempt to tickle her when he tried because she wasn't ticklish, but Bryn didn't even notice. While in her meditation, she focused on the spot within her and could touch it. As of yet, she couldn't do anything with it though. It was a start and in a way, progress was made, just not very much.

Blinking her eyes open, she right away knew he had moved and where Zaiden was. Leaning back into him, she thoroughly enjoyed the connection.

He was opening far more doors for and to her and by his actions, a connection and bond was formed that would only grow from here on.

"How long was I out?"

[member="Zaiden Dean"]

"Not long enough for me to take advantage of you." He muttered into her ear, then grinned, "But you found the link. Faster than i did when I started mind you. And the only reason I did was my Miraluka genetics. I was able to approach the problem differently. Then suddenly it was all around me. I could sense a thousand miniscule connections, and even grander larger ones, such as planet to planet, star to star." He smiled at the memories, "You never know the connections that are there until you actually see them."

Suggestively sliding a hand along her naval, he continued, "You could say youre a natural. Now, without closing off the senses, as that is the last resort, to fully immerse onesself, find it again, though this connection with all the grass around us. Even the blades underneath us. Finding more connections can be hard, but in my teaching i have found making a student find a million of one type of thing works easier than any other."

While his hand continued to tease, he nipped her ear with her teeth, "Also, distractions help to learn to focus... no wait.... That or i just want to distract you. One or the other."

[member="Bryn Celli Ddu"]

"But that was all I did, nothing else."

She felt warm and comfortable with his arms around her and entirely distracted. What he was proposing she do would next to impossible for her to accomplish.

Natural or not, Zaiden was providing enough of a distraction she was unable to focus on anything but him. It was a starting point though. They had a connection.

Smiling just slightly, Bryn tipped her head to give him more access to her neck and ear.

"I think it's both and working quite well. This is impossible."

Zaiden was just going to continue, when an explosion rocked the grounds. It was vast, close enough to make the air vibrate, and honestly horrifying. Zaiden was on his feet preternaturally quickly, leaving his newest apprentice to rush after. His speed was enhanced to an impossible level, but she would always be able to find him now, and vice versa, thanks to their Force Bond and the deeper level recently attained after the transference.

Sliding to a halt at the entryway to his Estate grounds, he threw an arm up to shield himself from the heat. A craft had been a means of attack, bombing his front gate, and therefore destabilizing the platform itself. Tossing an arm aggressively at the vehicle, a following hurricane level gust blew the flames from existence in a single instance.

Knowing Bryn was nearby, without looking to find her, he muttered, “Check for survivors.” She would hear him regardless of distance, as he had tapped into their connection in that command.

Running for the edge of the platform, Zaiden leaped clear over. It did not effect his decision that he was nearly three and a half miles up from the nearest platform to catch him. No, instead he simply guided his descent with the Force, slowed it to a more capable fall, and rolled out of it when he finally touched down.

People on this level, though usually considered the Underbelly, were intelligent enough to know that they would soon have a million kilos of debris falling their way, even before Estate itself came to them.

More due to her enhancements than anything Force related, Bryn wasn't far behind her lover, master and companion. Cursing to herself, she didn't have any of gear with her. Nothing to hide her face from anybody or armor to keep her body safe. Not that gear was everything, but accomplishing something without fear of being identified had benefits.

She would have to see about getting a second set kept here for instances such as this.

Orders were given and her attitude changed. From that of a student to that of a warrior. Bred for war, Bryn took on that mantle easily. Her face was a stoic facade that should be something familiar to Zaiden.

Not afraid of what might be in the craft, she tore open the cracked hatch and peered in. Zaiden was long out of sight by now, but her impression would be known right away.

There was nothing living in or on the craft. Nothing organic at least. Reaching in, she pulled two droids out and dropped one of them in an instant. The other she dragged out and then placed it on her shoulder. Not taking the time to look back at the craft, she had mere seconds left to get away.

Another bomb is going to...

And before that was even a finished thought it exploded.
