PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
A tall, imposing brute, Helix has cast off his ancient ST-series body in favor of something far more unpleasant. His outline flickers or ripples occasionally, as the nanite swarms that make up his body readjust themselves. Occasionally, his beaklike visage will reshape itself into other, more expressive forms, each more grotesque than the last. Helix moves with an alien fluidity, far from the mechanized whirring and clanking of other machines.
Having no real fixed shape, Helix usually resembles an ST-Series Tactical Droid, albeit one with a slimmer, more predatory outline. This charade is liable to be dropped in an instant when under duress, as the seemingly-solid "droid" forms blades, pincers, bludgeons, or various other weapons at will. To battle Helix is to cross blades with every implement of murder his diseased imagination can conjure.
INVENTORY
Hekarth Droid

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Helix appears on the surface to be a simple (if extremely effective) marauder. The nightmarish mechanoid's taste for plunder and pillage is legendary, and he is rarely inactive for long.
Helix is generally quiet and erudite in his personal habits, albeit still possessing much of the legendary arrogance tactical droids are prone to. In recent days, the former droid has become something... other, and his behavior has taken a sharp turn from the cold logic of a machine. Deliberate cruelty and a sort of curiosity-driven sadism drive this nascent personality onward now, counterbalanced only by a growing fraternity with the few others he has taken a liking to.
Helix spends much of his time alone or in the company of his few friends, when not out making the galaxy as a whole worse for his presence. While a ranking officer in the Sith's 3rd Legion, he neither subscribes to Sith beliefs nor affords most of his superiors any respect whatsoever.
STRENGTHS
Military Genius: Capable of processing information at rates comfortably into the realm of the superhuman, Helix can manage the complexities of real-time warfare to a degree impossible for most others, be it in space or on the ground, as well as manage any other form of data required.
Master Statistician: Related to the above, Helix can immediately determine the probability rate of a given outcome occurring, a trait very useful indeed for his his allies.
Non-Organic: Helix is immune to the effects of vacuum, as well as radiation, poison, and any mind-affecting Force abilities. Additionally, with proper maintenance, his lifespan is effectively indefinite.
Personality Backup: Helix occasionally uploads his consciousness into various backups or spare bodies, making permanently eradicating this droid very difficult for all but the most determined adversaries.
We Are Legion: The Helix entity is composed of countless self-replicating nanoprobes, enabling it to alter its molecular structure to assume almost any shape or form imaginable. Additionally, the colony's Voidstone construction renders it near-immune to the influence of the Force.
WEAKNESSES
Superiority Complex: Though a deadly mind to pit oneself against, Helix has been bested before simply due to considering his opponents beneath him, and will not always consider more insane or desperate courses of action.
Such Sights To Show You: After the upgrade to his body allowed his mind to expand, Helix's former blunt rationalism has been usurped by a growing and deliberate cruelty. As time goes on, the droid's behavior grows ever more irrational and nightmarish...
HISTORY
Helix was manufactured shortly before the end of the Clone Wars, and participated in some of the latter battles of that conflict. His small flotilla experienced a hyperdrive malfunction shortly before the Battle of Utapau after being trapped in a massive radiation storm, stranding him in the void of Otherspace when the shutdown codes for the CIS droid armies were sent out. They failed to reach him. What happened to him out in the nightmare realm is a mystery, but most who know him speculate he saw something out in the vastness between the stars, something that changed him. Helix spent decades painstakingly repairing his vessel to return home, only to find a galaxy unrecognizable to him.
Unfortunately for that galaxy, Helix was a quick learner, and soon became a brain for hire, advising Hutts, Pykes, and occasionally, legitimate governments. When times were lean, he turned to outright piracy, and gradually, mercenary work. For the next eight centuries, Helix carved a path of blood across the stars, even briefly throwing his lot in with the Alliance to Restore the Republic before abandoning the cause shortly after the Battle of Endor.
At the latter end of 900ABY, Helix has picked his side in the ever-present struggle for power in the galaxy. Nobody else but the Sith would accept such a creature into their ranks. The mechanoid and his army of plundering horrors have earned a vile reputation, with even most of his allies happy to see him leave. Nonetheless, his impeccable battle record speaks for itself. Time will tell if the warlord is ever humbled, whether by his enemies or his own kind.
