HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Dosuunian Commonwealth’s Navy has its roots in the formation of the First Order Navy, which began well before their arrival to Dosuun in the 840s. Sometime in the late 830s as the First Order and the Galactic Alliance of this time competed for Eriadu. The Galactic Alliance won out but not before the First Order’s navy left behind devastation in their wake.
Between 844 and 849, under the guidance of Admiral Fiolette Yvarro and corporate sponsor Valessia Brentioch. The First Order Navy grew significantly adding to the designs already established by Grand Admiral Cyrus Tregessar formerly of the One Sith. Admiral Yvarro would take the newly refitted Navy to the test in the Castameer system against rogue One Sith elements. Cementing the start of Admiral Rausgebers’ career, while anchoring Yvarro’s own legacy to the very victory achieved at Castameer.
The First Order would have little room for rest, as would its Navy. Surprised by the Imperials’ impressive showcase against the One Sith. Ayden Cater of the Galactic Alliance insisted on modernizing the Alliance’s own navy. A process which started but would gain only moderate traction in the years and the war that followed. The First Order and Galactic Alliance’s growing tensions and border conflicts escalated over Kaeshana. The Great Galactic War had begun with the shots heard around the galaxy, and the two civilizations went to war. Throughout this period, the First Order strengthened their fleet and their presence in the Unknown Regions. Setting foot into the Core as the two juggernauts fought one another. The First Order would be invaded by the Ssi-Ruuvi twice, with the second ending in the siege of its core systems, in the early 860s. Not before the Navy had done considerable damage to the Galactic Alliance, leaving the Alliance vulnerable to the early growings of other Imperial Remnants and the Sith Empire who finished the Alliance off with the betrayal of their own Grandmaster.
As the First Order splintered to the worlds of Padesh, and later carving out its own protectorate state under the safety of the Sith Empire. Dosuun and her sister systems were left to their own devices. Many suffocated, and were seemingly capitulating under the Ssi-Ruuvi siege. Naval forces restricted, and left crippled - a far cry from their prestigious beginnings decades ago. A resurgent First Order emerged under the direction of Ariel Yvarro, who brought not just her cousin back from the dead but the First Order as well. Establishing her cousin as Supreme Leader and herself as Grand Moff.
The Navy here found itself in an era of rebuilding, but this would be short lived. After Ariel’s departure the Navy found itself receiving only few designs and upgrades mainly to their older Tregessars’ designs. When the failed state of the Resurgent First Order finally collapsed, Dosuun and member systems who had been rebuilt did little to focus on their naval assets until the late 870s. When the Eternal Empire encroached closer and closer to Dosuun and what it would consider sister systems.
Under the guidance of Kit Galeway, Gunther Creed, Aermoira Cyone and Tae Sun-Shin, the Commonwealth Navy would be formed. When the Dosuunian Commonwealth was formalized in 882, the Commonwealth’s Navy had been cemented for two years, having been established officially in 880 to ward off pirates and raiders from the core systems of Dosuun, Seoul, Mephout and Needan.
As the Dosuunian Commonwealth matured, so did its Navy. The modern era sees the Commonwealth Navy as a beacon of stability, projecting strength, and ensuring the continued prosperity of Dosuun and its citizens. The Navy remains vigilant, ever ready to face challenges head-on, embodying the principles of honor, duty, and unwavering loyalty to the Dosuunian Commonwealth.
