Smarter than the average bear
Hey all. I have a few ideas for my character down the track (I like to plan the main events prior), and this is what I came up with so far. I was curious as to what people thought of the storyline and general idea of it all. Still relatively new so try not to be too harsh. Thanks
Corporation Name: Dagobah Shipyards (I'm atrocious at naming things. If any of you have a better one, suggestions are more then welcome)
Headquarters: Dagobah
Locations: N/A
Operations:
Shipbuilding
Ship Parts Manufacturing
Rationale: Lokthra Dawning and her father had helped the production of Dagobah Shipyards significantly. The owner Munstar Ofris had promised to pay them handsomely in credits. Since he was trying to expand the shipyards to create ships as big as 1000m long, he kept a vast majority of the businesses profits for himself. He was not willing to take the money out of this funds to pay them Dawning’s for their services. Munstar thinking the only way to pay them would be to cut the workers wages by another 25%. The workers completely outraged had planned to eliminate Munstar as revenge for cutting their wages and putting their families into starvation, they had planned for it the night before his execution. When Munstar did his daily rounds of the workshop he noticed their was an issue with the production of his personal freighter. He went to investigate the engine, which was making a horrible buzzing sound. He looked at it as it turned from a healthy purple to a ravenous blue. His face mortified, he knew this was his last moment. It took only a few seconds until the engines exploded. The workers had purposefully aimed for the explosion to be small enough to only take out Munstar and not anyone or anything else. Lokthra and her father went to Munstar’s office expecting to get paid, when in the turbolift they met one Sarah Halifax, the production officer. He told them of the horrific news, and explained how the dockyards will have to be sold as no one is willing to take control of it. This was explained over the payment of credits to the Dawning’s. Just on their way out of the late Munstar’s office workers stormed in pleading Lokthra and her father to stay and take control of the docks. They turned and looked at Sarah, her face told them all they needed to know.
Tier: 2
Description: Dagobah Shipyards was a private shipbuilding firm. They produce various ships for an array of different contractors. They specialise in Fighters and Bombers. Materials are imported from various suppliers (depends on how the market is currently fluctuating). Lokthra is in the midst of upgrading the dockyards to be able to support larger ship creation on a more permanent scale. The docks are always producing ships as Lokthra feels there is going to soon be a need for them. This also means the company is spending a lot of money and sometimes it spends more then it makes. Danthorn (Lokthra’s father) having spent most his life building ships has made many custom modifications and upgrade to the docks and ships to better the production efficiency. The docks produce ships at a steady 85% efficiency. Lokthra and Sarah have close bonds to all workers, and treat each like a family member, this means that they are lenient if an issue arrises to the workers. Much how every bad thing has it’s good, this one leads to the workers moral constantly being high.
