I'm not entirely certain if this is the place to ask such a thing - or if there even exists such a place in the first place - but I've been directed towards this sub-forum from the discord and I figured I might as well try it out and see if it sticks. If not, my apologies, feel free to move or delete this thread as you deem necessary. Whilst a few ideas are still brewing inside of my head as to what and who said character is going to end up as, there is one thing that I am somewhat dead-set on implementing with them as far as archetypes and cliches goes. I'll try and be as eligible as possible and I apologies in advance for any confusion I may cause with my blabbering.
One of the key features of the character herself would be an assortment of tattoos that can - in one way or another - be used as a weapon of sorts. Normally I'd provide reference pictures in full to further illustrate what I am referring to but in this case - seeing as I'm not exactly familiar with the hard and soft limits of SFW material - I'll abstain for the most part and provide snippets such as this or this. Yakuza-style stuff really, somewhat basic but I always enjoyed the visual appeal they held and they fit comfortably on the rule of cool scale as far as I'm concerned. I'm afraid I suck at properly explaining my ideas in a simple manner so I think the best way to exemplify why I consider this paramount to the character herself would be through a little game of imagination.
Imagine, if you will, a hand lazily stretching forward whilst dainty fingers sprawl further and further apart from one another, soft clicks ringing through your ears as the woman herself slowly walks backwards into a veil of darkness until only the aforementioned hand is still visible ; lips curled upwards into a wry - poodoo-eating - grin that spreads across dusky cheeks from ear to ear, narrowed eyes twinkling with a fiery ember that eventually finds itself snuffed out. Fingers sway inwards towards the ball of her palm whilst the various tattoo's etched across her skin pulse to life, a form seemingly morphing out of them as if the paint itself was being washed away. Starting out ragged and unfocused - quivering and vibrating - as it carefully assembles itself into something more solid, a furred limb coming out at first followed by another ; head pouring upwards into a gooey mass of ink before it solidifies into that of an animal, a firm thud echoing through the room as paws strike the ground once it jumps down, its form fully materialized once the last of those digits disappear within the veil and eyes close themselves shut.
Weeb-ish and silly, I know, but it's one of the things I want to experiment with, for better or worse. Now whether that would be something real or an illusion depends on what I can actually get away with within the universe. Not exactly up to date with all of its intricacies and stuff, you know? But to wrap it all in a neat little package, I'd say the closest archetype that would define such a character would be that of an Assassin more than anything else, as far as combat and the like goes. Another thing I'd like to try out with her - and this one I'm almost certain to get a solid no on - would be to have her as a sort of . . . spirit, would be the proper word? Bounded to another character for better or worse and tell her story through that method. Granted its heavily dependent on another willing party and all, not to mention the limitations of character creation according to the rules, but an input on it would be appreciated.
If not feasible, then I guess it might be high-time to check out the Jedi / Sith factions and see which block I can fit myself in all cozy like.
