- Military Service: Designed to be the standard uniform of a Naval Officer in the Confederacy, the uniform is lightweight and breathable, making it easy to move around and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The design of the uniform asserts authority and allows for an officer to carry the necessary equipment and defensive weapons in a stylish and orderly manner.
- Protective: In spite of its appearance, the uniform does offer a degree of protection to those wearing it. Stygian Triprismatic Polymer plating located under the tunic and trousers of the uniform provides ample protection from blaster bolts, projectiles, and most standard forms of weaponry. Meanwhile, a Durafiber bodyglove seal is able to protect a wearer's vital organs for a limited amount of time in a vacuum, a very real threat in naval service. Finally, magna-grip soles allow an officer to keep their stance steady even during the rolling and pitching of a ship tossed around in the battlefield, ensuring that they are not injured by a moving ship.
- Battlefield: Designed to be a uniform for naval officers aboard a ship, it is unideal to wear in battlefield situations due to the many exposed spots not covered -- most especially including the head -- that could be vulnerable targets in a firefight.
- Heavy Weapons: Weaponry based in the Force; lightsabers, alchemy, and the force itself, are not countered by the uniform. Similarly, the uniform offers little to protect its user from heavy weapons such as disruptors.
The Confederacy Naval Command Uniform - Standard Version is the standard-issue uniform worn by officers within the Naval branch of the Confederacy Armed Forces. The uniform is designed to be flexible, protective, comfortable, and importantly evoke an aura of authority. Due to the diverse nature of the Confederacy's Armed Forces, and NAVCOM in particular, the uniform is made in several dimensions of multiple species and can be even further modified for rarer species serving in Naval Command.
At a glance, the uniform is just a fabric tunic and cloth with synth-hide gloves and boots, along with a synthmesh belt and holster. However, hidden under the top layer of the uniform are several Stygian Triprismatic Polymer plates that serve as protection from weaponry should a wearer find themselves in a combat situation, but does not grant any stealth capabilities. Under that is a Durafiber bodyglove that is sealed, allowing the uniform to protect a wearer's vital organs in a vacuum.
Like any uniform, the standard-issue version for NAVCOM contains multiple devices that can be used, such as a scramble key, code cylinders, and multiple pouches that can be utilized to store whatever devices a user might feel would be needed. A holster is also provided to carry a blaster pistol of standard size that can be easily and quickly drawn. Altogether, the Confederacy Naval Command Uniform - Standard Version is a sharp, fashionable uniform that will be the face of NAVCOM personnel to come.
