(+) Ex-Jensaarai: Though banished from the practice of the Jensaarai, Conn possesses the remnant of the Force and combat training he received as a Defender.
(+) Can Take a Beating: The combination of tenaciousness and physical prowess allows Conn’s body to take a lot of punishment before letting up. Pain is compartmentalized to prevent it from stopping him from finishing a task.
(+) Melee: While no longer using a light saber, Conn’s training has given him an edge in hand-to-hand combat.
(+) Small Craft Piloting: Conn is an ace in a speeder, swoop bike, watercraft or fighter-sized starship.
(-) Necropolitan: The Necropolitans show honor to the dead, hold religious burials for their dead, and believe that if the dead are not shown respect, they may rise front their graves to exact vengeance. These belief’s still linger in Conn, loosely, and sometimes impacts his behavior after killing someone, or having a friend or comrade killed. For example, he may insist on burying the body or preventing looting of the body, even if the corpse possesses an item of great value.
(-) Dishonored Jensaarai: Conn no longer is allowed to possess a Jensaarai light sabre or Jensaarai armor. He may also face prejudice or persecution if he happens to cross paths with other Jensaarai.
(-) Limited Force Affinity: Without completed training, Conn’s use of the Force is sometimes unfocused and is limited to only a handful of learned powers.
APPEARANCE:
Conn could be considered handsome, but his appearance is often unruly. His longish dark blonde hair often hangs loose, or in his eyes. He is usually unshaven. Conn possesses a medium but muscular build, but not overly cut. His slightly tanned skin bears several scars, kisses of enemy blades, blaster bolts and even a slug thrower round.
BIOGRAPHY:
A strange series of unlikely events lead to the young Conn crossing paths with a Jensaarai on the Core World of Necropolis. The Force-using Defender was seeing to the burial of his former master on the tombworld, where the deceased leader would receive the honor in death he deserved.
The Jensaarai noted the stirring of the Force in young Conn, and tried to convince his parents of the child’s potential. But Conn’s family knew nothing of the Jensaarai, and would not have let their child go with a Jedi, let alone the oddly armored man. But Conn was enamored by the armored, lightsaber wielding warrior. And did not soon forget him.
The teen years, as with most races, filled Conn with rebellion and eagerness to experience life away from the death-centric culture of his people. And so he fled, seeking that same Jensaarai warrior he hand not forgotten about. More strange luck, or the Force, lead Conn to the man, K’tir Jahad. Conn became his Jensaarai apprentice.
Conn was a decent student, though displayed no particular strengths. Conn became frustrated by his mediocrity, never feeling he was progressing towards the idealized Force warrior he had idolized since being a child. His expectations unrealistic and unrealized, Conn floundered towards vulnerability.
The Dark Side always welcomed the disenchanted. One night, an argument ensued at a place Conn should not have been, and he murdered a man with his light saber. His Master was unconvinced of Conn's viability and sensed the Dark Side's influence on the young man, though he did not know of the dark powers Conn had already began to toy with. K'tir agreed to dismiss Conn from the Order.
Still a young man, Conn sulked for a while, but eventually pulled himself up, and as best he could, tried to foster the Force powers within him. Conn found use for his skill set. He did not like mercenary work, but he was good at it, and made a living for a time as a soldier-for-hire. But Conn had ambition, a need for a cause. Then came whispers of rebellion, of agents of change causing havoc with hegemonic governments in the far reaches of space. The Agents of Chaos, he served them for a short period, before again moving on.
However, Conn would find himself at the fringe of Unknown Space, in the Eternal Empire.
