Here's an idea that looks up your company's alley:
Armor with electronic systems. Electronic systems will isolate themselves in an abnormal situation (EMP, for example) - effectively shutting down and making everything an open circuit. Electronic system can be re-enabled with a manual switch/button.
Pretty much imagine your breaker panel at home.
A more interesting way for EMP mitigation without cheaply saying "Armor immune to EMPs lolol"
