For most of the villagers in Far Water, morning was still a period of slumber since the best time to harvest the krill from the ponds was during the middle of the afternoon. However, whenever traders came by, the villagers made every effort to accommodate them, not only due to a strong culture of hospitality, but also because the traders were often incredibly wealthy. As such, when an exotic elfin merchant arrived in the village, many of the villagers were up as they sought to present their goods for barter and trade. In the midst of bartering and trading, it did not take long for the villagers to realize that the elfin merchant had a similar appearance to one of their own. Like Lisilla, the merchant had a diminutive stature, along with long and pointed ears. However, she lacked Lisilla’s long eyebrows and her violet red hair. Nevertheless, it did not take long for one of the villagers to tell Lisilla of the mysterious elfin visitor.

“Lissie! Lissie! Lissie! There’s someone downstairs that you need to see, quick! She looks just like you!” Valery cried cheerfully as she entered Lisilla’s quarters. “Come quick!” The little girl added excitedly, before going silent as she watched the diminutive Aetharian woman do her make up by a mirror.

“Wait...really?” Lisilla quickly turned around as she applied a styling gel to her eyebrows. “Are you serious?”

“Yes! She has ears just like yours! Buuuut...I’d say that yours are quite a bit...longer.” Valery said in a slightly contemplative tone. “And her eyebrows don’t like...stick out.” The little girl added as she watched the Aetharian groom her long brows.

“That’s...interesting, actually.” Lisilla replied as a slight frown came over her features. “I’ve only heard of Aetharians with eyebrows like mine. “But...I guess there can be a few exceptions? Maybe she shaved hers and painted on regular eyebrows.” Lisilla mused.

“Well, hers look real, I think.” Valery replied. “But, hurry up Lissie! She’s waiting downstairs!” The girl impatiently tugged on Lisilla’s sleeves. “I really want to see what you two look like together!” She finished.

“I’ll be outside in a moment, Val. Just let me finish my makeup, okay dear?”

“Yes ma’am! I’ll wait outside the room.” Valery replied dutifully.

“Good girl.” Lisilla added as she leaned down to kiss the child on her forehead. “I’ll be just a moment, okay?”

True to her word, Lisilla did not keep Valery and the mysterious elfin visitor waiting for much longer after she finished grooming her eyebrows and fixing her hair. After putting together a cute outfit, Lisilla came down the stairs and entered the common area.

Moments later, when the mysterious Elfin merchant appeared around a corner, Lisilla could not restrain a sharp and audible gasp from escaping her lips.

"Now trading is more than just a business. Going about your day buying and selling whatever folk will throw at you. It's..it's like an art form of sorts, a..a.." Harli rolled her eyes at the Elzeri beside her. He was dressed in fine boots, well fit cargo pants and a tan tunic with a dark blue vest overtop. His blue eyes shined with excitement at the thought of a new deal. An older Elzeri of almost four hundred, Mort was every bit a merchant by heart. Sometimes even more than any Elzeri Harli had ever met. "I know Mort. You've told me this a hundred times." Harli pointed a finger at the older Elzeri. "Promise me that you will not, under an circumstance try to cheat this people."

Mort put his hand on his chest and gave overdramatic look of shock. "Ms. Hayes. You wound me! I would never..." He stopped at the look she was giving him and quickly dropped the act. "Uhh...right. I give you my promise and hope you have my full trust on the matter." He clapped his hands together as he pushed that part of the conversation aside. "Right, now down to business." Mort glanced around until he quickly spotted someone who looked to be in charge. "Ah! Excuse me, my fine gentleman. I'm looking for whoever's in charge around here. Because I have a fine deal for them in store! Wares and goods from across the galaxy!"

Harli shook her head as she watched the man hurry off to try and make his first sale of the day. Her eyes then turned to the quaint little village of Far Water. Small homes were scattered here and there. While large krill ponds seemed to dominate the rest of the air. The smell of people cooking breakfast filled the air and mingled with the krill.

The young Elzeri followed after Mort as he came to a stop in front of a few houses. Harli didn't pay much attention to the older Elzeri as he went about his business. Instead she let her eyes wonder the small village. Quaint, is how she would put it. With the small scattered homes and the large krill ponds that seemed to dominate the landscape.

Harli always enjoyed small villages a lot more than large cities. They were cleaner, fewer beings and were less cramped. Which was a funny thing to say considering she lived in a freighter.

Her wondering eyes landed on a being that was nearby. The site made her breath catch and eyes widen for a moment. Standing not to far away was another Elfin being very similar to her. So similar infact, she actually thought it was an Elzeri. After a few moments she noticed a few differences. The other girl had longer ears and eyebrows that stuck way out. Harli suddenly realized that she was staring. With a little bit of embarrassment, she gave the other Elfin girl a small hesitant wave.

By the Force, she’s gorgeous!

A deep crimson flush appeared on Lisilla’s cheeks as she took in the elf’s comely visage. Lisilla felt an immediate sense of shyness come over her as she clasped her knees together and locked her arms under her modest bosom. However, upon noticing the woman’s wave, Lisilla returned the gesture with an identical one before slowly approaching the brown-haired elf. She did not intend to let her bashfulness prevent her from opening up to the strange woman.

“Gosh, you two look so alike!” Valery suddenly interjected as she scrambled between the two diminutive elves. “Lissie, Lissie, can I take a picture of you and Harli? Pretty please?” The little girl pleaded as she raised her smart pad and positioned herself in front of the two women.

Lisilla glanced at Harli as an awkward expression came over her pale features. She had almost forgotten that Valery had been waiting for her as well. Nevertheless, Lisilla was happy that the girl was excited. Up until that moment, Lisilla had never seen another elf in her life. While Aetharians were not necessarily rare, in a galaxy of over 200 quadrillion sentients, the sight of another elf was an extraordinary event. However, she was not quite sure if the woman was Aetharian, or something else entirely.

“Umm...that would be wonderful Valery.” Lisilla began in the sweet and slightly higher-pitched tone that she used to speak to especially young children. “But, make sure you ask Harli’s permission as well, dear. We wouldn’t want to take Harli’s picture without her permission.”

“Yes ma’am.” Valery replied, before turning towards Harli. “May I please take a picture of you and Lissie?”

Harli gave a shy smile when the girl waved back. Then her cheeks blushed a little as the girl approached her. She hadn't expected to be this shy all of a sudden. Although she hadn't expected to find another Elven species very similar to her own either. The woman was definitely pretty, even more so up close. Before Harli could speak, another younger girl spoke up in excitement, asking to take their picture together.

"A..a picture? I mean...yeah, it's okay with me." Harli stated as she finally found words to speak. She moved next to the Elvin girl till their shoulders almost brushed together. She turned and smiled for Valery as she took the picture.
