Diplomacy Corporate Decorum

Location: NCBC Headquarters, Illic City Dome, New Cov.

There are a few things that New Cov is well known for. One is the incredible domed cities. Second is the violently dangerous flora surrounding the domed cities. And third is the biomolecules that are harvested from the previously mentioned flora. All of which every Covi learns in school while growing up. Despite my noble upbringing, I had learned of the same.

And it is because of those biomolecules that New Cov had thrived in it's economy. Wars had been fought throughout the Galaxy over the centuries and so far New Cov had remained unburdened by it. Instead it's neutral stance had provided it a customer base that had no boundaries.

Being newly appointed as the Head of the Board of Directors for NCBC, I find myself looking to expand our customer base, and perhaps gain a stronger foothold for within the Galaxy's elite. That in and of itself could prove to be a double-edged sword. But one cannot be accomplished if one hides away from danger, nor if one is scared to go beyond the boundaries of one's home.

Still, I find myself catering to the words of advice from my parents whom are themselves high ranking members of the BoD. Until a proper ship and security team are acquired, I shall only invite others to New Cov. And that is what brings my guest in today. Co-ordinates and passcodes for the right vent to the location of our Headquarters were sent once the meeting was agreed upon.

I am eager to get started, yet patient all the same. I was born for this. I am ready.

"Senator Ot'Hyne, we have almost arrived within the system of New Cov." the attendant said, leaning over to the Caamaasi within the executive shuttle. The senator nodded in acknowledgment, looking out the viewport at the distant planet growing larger as they approached. The journey had been long and tiring, but the prospect of finally reaching their destination filled him with a sense of excitement and anticipation.
He was eager to begin the business negotiations with the NCBC Corporation under the direction of Liin Terallo Liin Terallo , as they were developing technology that would greatly benefit his holdings on Caamas, and potentially increase his standing within the Federal Assembly. As the shuttle touched down on the landing platforms, he felt a sense of peace and purpose wash over him.
He understood there would be challenges ahead, but was confident in his own negotiations skills. Descending from the ramp towards the headquarters of the corporation, he was followed by a myriad of attendants and a small retinue of bodyguards for protection. Although left them behind near the entrance to make the visit more personal.
"Greetings, I am Senator Ifrit Ot'Hyne of Caamas."

I watch as my guest approaches and keep note of his entourage being kept behind. That in and of itself is sometimes used as a test of trust. I have experienced it a few times before. My own entourage is often times much smaller, even while I travel abroad.

At least that was how it used to be. Nowadays, it is quite different. Personal cloaking devices were wonderful things, and my guards put them to good use. An unfortunate event that I do not wish to think about if I can help it has given the Board of Directors and my parents the inclination to ensure that I am always under guard. Even if the guard cannot be seen. I myself do not know how many there are at any given time, nor am I aware of their exact whereabouts. I only know that they are supposed to be present.

Catching my guests eyes as he approaches, I dip my head in greeting with a polite smile. "Welcome to New Cov, Senator. I am Director Terallo. I do hope that your journey here has been a pleasant one. Shall we step into my office?" In the past there have been some guests that prefer to rest before going into negotiations. While there are others that prefer to delve into it all straight away. In my experience the odds were usually half and half.

"Our journey up to this point has been rather pleasant, Director Terallo, except for the expense of fuel due to the numerous conflicts taking place across the galaxy. Let's move forward and commence productive discussions." Ifrit responded, reciprocating the small gesture with one of his own, demonstrating respect without indicating submission during the conversation.
He was briefed by the Trade Federation delegation about the events occurring throughout the galaxy, including the conflict between the Alliance and a faction known as the Dark Empire, consisting of imperials and sith lords, which was causing an increase in the prices of starship fuel.
He ascended the staircase leading to the entrance of the main office, observing the numerous staff members and technicians diligently carrying out their tasks. Ifrit couldn't help but appreciate their enthusiasm and commitment to their jobs, even though he still viewed them as ordinary individuals.
"Tell me, Director Terallo. What kind of technology has the NCBC Corporation been producing for the galactic market. Hopefully not, military wares since that market is rather bloated right now with the war." He said as they walked towards the office for the meeting.
