Technology has advanced, and so has the means to make money in the underworld of organized crime. Better guns, better armor, better splicers. Criminals had the advantage to gain items or materials that regular security forces couldn’t receive on their channels. So projects arose to create some sort of advancement that could give an edge to officers and security forces. Some experimented with mechs, robots, cameras, etc. The Coruscant Security Force went with the way of surveillance. Thus the Security Force Sensor Operator was born. Specialists in surveillance and operating drones, Sensor Operators where to provide support for current forces, through information. To go with along this unit, a new set of armor was produced in limited amounts. Sensor armor looks nice, but it is not designed for heavy combat. A armor to provide some protection for the user, but it's strength is the amount of tools and applications it gives to it's users. Thermal, Infrared, and more. This armor was made to see what other officers couldn't. Paired with drones, it becomes a very valuable asset. The most armored segments are to protect technical systems in the armor As the higher ups thought the systems were too exposed in earlier versions.
