Description: The Coruscant Security Force colloquially referred to as "Coruscant Police" and one-time "Imperial Police" Is the premier law enforcement organisation of the Corusca Sector, responsible for providing law enforcement services to the government of Coruscant, enforcing laws passed by the legislature to the executive's pleasure. Its' responsibilities include but are not limited to conductive foot and vehicles patrols in the terrestrial and exoatmospheric environment, enforcing all local and federal laws, protecting the residents and citizenry of the Sector, investigating & deterring crime and finally acting as Coruscant's Defence Force as significant military or paramilitary organisations threaten their jurisdiction.
In the contemporary Galaxy, Coruscant Security Force largely employs Humans and Near-Humans with Humanoid Aliens providing invaluable support services especially in regard to Officer health and wellbeing. Historically the organisation employed droid models but has found the best application for machine intelligence is widespread and thorough closed-circuit high-definition surveillance equipment as it can free up sentient resources for operational policing and perhaps detect crime and identify suspects with greater efficiency. Sworn Officers within Coruscant Security Force typically wear the organisation's proud symbol on their right pauldron, with the left usually bearing a sillitoe pattern and the words "POLICE" or "SECURITY" emblazoned in bold letters upon its' surface. Each Officer is also issued with a nine-digit warrant number with each digit ranging from 0-9 in the format of "###-##/####" this warrant number is unique and identifies the Officer to Citizens and Residents in place of their name.
Coruscant Security Force Officers are issued with a bodysuit, tan coloured uniform, black soft armour vest that wraps around their abdomen and lower torso with navy blue armour plating worn over the top along with a fully-enclosed helmet which seals hermetically around their bodysuit, its' helmet containing a vocal distorter to utterly conceal their identity from observers. In addition to the General Duties Armoured Environmentally controlled uniform, Coruscant Security Force developed and manufacture a strength, endurance and agility increasing Powersuit that is issued to all Officers for increased endurance and protection in high-risk areas such as the freezing vacuum of space or serving warrants on dangerous individuals, some divisions such as tactical operations division and their riot peers almost exclusively wear this powersuit. The Mk.I Advanced Combat Powersuit is issued in a variety of colours and camouflage patterns to suit different roles and environments.
Every single Coruscant Security Force Officer is issued with a license-built short-barrel DC-15A Blaster Rifle because of its' relatively compact size, power, modularity and stun-setting capability which allows Officers to level formidable firepower against any threat and subdue violent offenders. In addition to this all Officers are equipped with stuncuffs, a telescoping 16" stun baton and a pair of gas grenades filled with an airborne chemical designed to disperse crowds by inducing nausea, vomiting and temporary unconsciousness.

Hierarchy: As a civil law enforcement organisation that historically have served as a Gendarmerie. The Coruscant Security Force maintains an organisational structure and rank system eerily similar to that of a professional military, this is done to allow CORSECFOR to quickly transition from their Law Enforcement-Centric organisation to a Military one as the need arises such as where Martial Law is put into effect or the Security Force is ordered by Coruscant's Government to enter into low-intensity conflict against insurrectionist, insurgent or other violent non-state actors effectively. Climate: Within Coruscant Security Force there is a distinct and unmistakable atmosphere of solidarity and camaraderie that is often found in Military, Paramilitary and Emergency Services Organisations all across the Galaxy. There is a great deal of stress often placed on the Coruscant Security Force's sworn officers due to the sheer level of paperwork they are obligated to complete when performing their Law Enforcement duties, required to record and detail dozens upon dozens of contacts with Citizens every single day and ensuring that they carefully abide by their ethical standards when communicating with a wide variety of alien species lest a complaint be made against them to have disciplinary action meted out to offending personnel.
With that said employment within the Coruscant Security Force is considered to be a desirable career with ample opportunity, Officers are supported by a Coruscant Security Force Union which all sworn and unsworn employees receive automatic membership within upon accepting their offer of employment. Thanks to their union Coruscant Security Force Officers are rostered on for four days and then off for four days, receiving approximately six standard weeks of annual leave for every one standard year of work, this is increased to eight weeks for Officers who are deployed to Security Area Commands which are consistently reporting as being under their authorised personnel strength. Coruscant Security Force employees are paid a generous salary which exceeds that of Law Enforcement Officers superior to most other organisations within the Galaxy by virtue of Coruscant's economic might and the relatively small organisation in comparison.
Most Officers while disturbed by their strict policy of anonymity trust in their equipment which is advanced enough that most observers accurately describe it as being sophisticated military equipment being utilised by a Law Enforcement Organisation, these quality appointments combined with their training give the Officers confidence to overcome any criminal elements in discharging their sworn duty. Those who are injured On-Duty receive state of the art medical care by Physicians, Psychologists, Nurses and Specialists employed by the Security Force's Health & Wellbeing Section, rehabilitating the injured and returning learned veterans to their stations. For all the teeth-clenching stress and court attendances the Coruscant Security Force is akin to a world unto itself and highly supportive when its' Officers require aid, so while there are numerous personnel who flirt with the idea of leaving the fight they go through to reach their positions and the luxuries it affords them makes the decision to those rational or of flimsy resolution a net loss and not worth taking.
Reputation: Coruscant Security Force possesses a galactic reputation stretching beyond the Colonies for being amongst the oldest and most prestigious Law Enforcement organisations in the galaxy with many foreign worlds and their governments co-operating with Coruscant Security Force in criminal matters to achieve common goals in investigating and prosecuting crime. Other Law Enforcement agencies frequently communicate with Coruscant Security Force regarding criminal, technological and training developments in their local jurisdictions to promote and improve their respective organisations. Among the Corusca Criminal Underworld, Coruscant Security Force is often feared, respected and hated in equal measure their officers having a faceless quality only matched or surpassed by Imperial Stormtroopers, with technology and equipment to roll over their opposition. Among the Gangers and Crime Families of Coruscant it is said the only thing stopping Coruscant Security Force from utterly crushing their businesses and illicit activities wholesale is their relatively limited manpower and Coruscant's sheer population in contrast to this, even if all of CORSECFOR's Officers were hyper-efficient there still wouldn't be enough of them to come close to stopping crime on every single level of the sprawling metropolis.
Concerns about corruption found in outer-rim Law Enforcement organisations are replaced with a well-deserved reputation for cold ruthlessness. Coruscanti society is filled to the brim with sectarian violence between different ethnic groups and interracial tension, as a result, Coruscant Security Force Officers are completely anonymous their armour's helmets incorporate vocal distorters and even emulators to not only conceal accents but the subtle distinctions in speech between the various species that inhabit the Galaxy and even the Security Officer's Sex. This is done to prevent Security Officers from being targeted due to their race or sex as they interact with individuals from vastly different species and cultural practices every single shift, it proves to be a significant law enforcement challenge that CORSECFOR have addressed through the policy of anonymity and restrictive recruitment for its' sworn officer ranks. Many observers particularly children mistake Security Officers for droids due to this very reason and among their own ranks, many employees often experience symptoms of a depressive mood over their strictly enforced policies of anonymity not even permitted to remove their helmets when on-duty outside of Security Force property without necessity.
There exists a persistent rumour and perception within the Humanoid Aliens unfamiliar with Coruscant Security Force's policies that they are humanocentric and discriminate against aliens, while undoubtedly incidents exist in its' long history where individual Security Officers might have discriminated against Non-Human Aliens these are often anecdotal and is not a matter of policy or law. Mainly, the rumour's ostensible validity comes from an accurate observation that most Officers would at least have to be Near-Human and the ill-informed take this as a sign the Force has an officially sanctioned policy of Humanocentrism conflating the result of their strict anonymity policy which mandates that all sworn security officer recruits attending the academy be able to wear CORSECFOR's dystopian and oppressive anonymous uniform and armour without any modification as being indicative to some adherence to specism, for example while Zabrak men are classified as "Near-Human" they are excluded from recruitment for their prominent skull protrusions which make wearing the uniform and armour's helmets impossible. The truth is that CORSECFOR does employ Alien Humanoid Volunteers and Unsworn Employees who provide invaluable corporate and health services to the Sworn Officers who do the frontline dystopian policing work most Coruscant Subsector residents are personally familiar.
As an apolitical law enforcement organisation the Coruscant Security Force will faithfully serve whatever party or leadership governs Coruscant and enforce its' laws with unimpeachable integrity, the ugly side of their dedication to their duty was witnessed after Sheev Palpatine's Galactic Empire absorbed Coruscant Security Force and reformed it into "Imperial Police" where its' Officers enforced the New Order's brutal, oppressive and overwhelmingly dystopian legislation and it's in this time period where CORSECFOR's reputation for cold ruthlessness and discrimination against Aliens stems from, it is a reputation in the centuries since the Empire's collapse it has ever struggled to escape. The rehabilitation of the organisation within public forums has been slow but steady, yet there are those who criticise CORSECFOR in the modern-day who seek to give their often exaggerated criticisms validity by pointing out the organisation's eager enforcement of Imperial Law, co-operation with the odious Imperial Security Bureau and the fact that Coruscant Security Force Officers were issued with a variant of Stormtrooper Armour. In fact, rather controversially CORSECFOR still keeps examples of Patrol Stormtrooper armour in static display sets dedicated to the organisation's history, its' leadership claiming that they couldn't ignore the evil they'd done and that "The bad doesn't wash out the good, nor the good the bad."
Well-founded, however, is Coruscant Security Force's use of dystopian policing tactics they maintain a massive and oppressive surveillance gid all throughout the Coruscant Sub-Sector their jurisdiction is absolutely full with Police Probe droids which patrol in co-operation with sentient officers and operate alone, tracking individuals quickly and with a precision that only a droid could apply to its' tasks. These droid constructs earn Coruscant Security Force the ire of Citizens who might view such heavy surveillance as infringing on the privacy of individuals in their daily lives but most government officials and security force personnel will fiercely protect their effectiveness at deterring petty and violent crime, claiming that everybody behaves with greater politeness and morality when there are cameras assessing everything. It is no secret that the Coruscant Security Force's Police Probes actively record audio and visual sensor data when they are on public property and act as the eyes for Security Force personnel, wherever a crime is committed in the presence of an observant sometimes distant Police Probe Security Officers often fall shortly thereafter without warning, swooping down like avian predators.

- Warrant Badge: Upon taking their oath of office and graduation from the Security Academy all Sworn Officers are provided with an ornate brass and durasteel five-pointed star-shaped badge emblazoned with Coruscant Security Force's proud symbol in exquisite detail. The Symbol sits above block-type lettering displaying the Officer's "Warrant Number" Their six digit unique identifier among the Security Force's ranks acting as proof of their law enforcement powers and responsibility. Whenever a Security Force Officer uses their power and is challenged for identification or verification of their law enforcement power by a Resident or Citizen they are obligated to produce either their Warrant Badge or Warrant Card for examination by the challenging party. The Warrant Badge is equipped with a wireless micro-transmitter that allows the wielder to access secure Security Force facilities in proportion to the rank of the Wearer.
- Warrant Card: Issued upon graduation at the Security Academy, worn on the Duty Uniform of Security Officers the Warrant Card is a small rectangle-shaped duraplast badge coloured in accordance with the Wearer's rank and additionally displays this rank with a three letter prefix as appropriate and displayed alongside the six-digit warrant number, displaying the Warrant Number and their rank on the warrant card satisfies a Security Officer's obligation to verify their identification and law enforcement powers & responsibilities when challenged by a member of the community. The Warrant Card is equipped with a wireless micro-transmitter that allows the wielder to access secure Security Force facilities in proportion to the rank of the Wearer.
- Warrant Tags: Each Coruscant Security Force Officer is issued with a pair of identification holotags which are worn around the neck and are used as a tertiary means of identifying themselves and verifying their authority when challenged by a Citizen or Resident along with acting as their authorisation card for accessing Security Force facilities. The Holotags record the Officer's Rank, Warrant Number along with their first and last initial. The tags are issued in pairs with one mounted on the long chain around the neck with a second tag mounted on a significantly smaller chain which is taken from the wearing Officer as a means of casualty tracking in the extreme situations where Coruscant Security Forced are engaged in Military actions.
- Apolitical: To serve such a vast community with the best attempts to remain impartial to all the cultural, economic and political conflict contained therein Coruscant Security Force maintains a strict policy remaining utterly apolitical on government policy or the laws it is obligated to enforce. It makes for an organisation which pursues its' goals and performs their duty with integrity although they can quickly become a liability for the Citizenry should an authoritarian regime seize control of Coruscant's government apparatus as CORSECFOR's officers are sworn to serve all the same.
- Anonymous Online: Their insistence on anonymity doesn't end with being on-duty, Coruscant Security Force Officers are prohibited from disclosing their employment with Coruscant Security Force on the holonet or any other online social media communication networks, additionally. Serving Coruscant Security Forces officers are prohibited from identifying themselves in a public forum and making comments about economic, social or political issues. If a serving Coruscant Security Force Officer wants to make comments on these topics they must not identify themselves and state that their opinions are their own and not representative of the organisation.
- Contact with Offenders: Coruscant Security Force Officers and prospective Recruits are obligated by Policy to disclose to ethical standards and sentient resources section their relationships with all people who are engaged in, perceived to be or have been involved in criminal activity. Additionally, they are required to disclose all contact they have had with individuals convicted of a crime. Sentient Resources and Ethical Standards provide the Officer with a strategy to minimise the risks presented by this relationship to the integrity of Security Operations. In cases where it is discovered a Security Force officer has an undisclosed close relationship with a criminal or associate perceived to be involved in criminal activity, sentient resources may terminate the officer's employment.
- Detention Limitations: Coruscant Security Force are permitted to forcefully arrest and detain suspects at a station for an investigation period upto six hours during which they may interview the suspect, at the end of this six hours the Security Force must have obtained a warrant from the court to extend the investigation period, release the suspect unconditionally, release the suspect on bail or bring them to court as soon as possible.
- Duty of Care: A Duty of Care exists between Coruscant Security Force to all Citizens and Residents of Coruscant Sub-Sector, Security Officers are obligated to provide First Aid when safe for the Officer to do so for Offenders, Citizens and Residents who have been injured in the course of Security Operations. Additionally, Security Officers are expected to take all "reasonable steps" to respond in a timely fashion to reported emergencies.
- Ethical Standards: All employees of Coruscant Security Force are bound by Ethical Standard Guidelines which obligates them to take all "reasonable steps" to treat all Citizens and Residents with respect and dignity regardless if they are Human, Near-Human and Humanoid.
- Identifying Information Collection: Coruscant Security Force can collect identifying information about suspects who are in their custody after being detained and arrested, this identifying information includes but is not limited to: fingerprints and photographs. The collection can be performed without the subject's consent and in absence of a warrant, except in cases where the suspect is under fourteen years of age.
- Identity Disclosure: Sworn Officers of Coruscant Security Force On-Duty are required to identify themselves with their rank, warrant number and station when demanded by a Citizen or Resident of the Coruscant Sub-Sector unless the Officer believes doing so would jeopardise the safety of themselves or their peers. Security Officers are never obligated or required to disclose their name.
- Lethal Force Authorisation: Coruscant Security Force Officers are equipped and trained to employ lethal weapons, though these weapons are only authorised for use by a matter of Policy and Legislation. To employ lethal force a Security Officer has a genuine belief that they or somebody else is at risk of being incapacitation, grievous bodily harm or death. Coruscant Security Force Officers are required to submit a use of force log for the incident which is examined like other use of force logs by Ethical Standards Section.
- Martial Law: The Director of Coruscant Security Force has the significant discretionary power in a state of emergency environment to enforce martial law where Coruscant Security Force rapidly expands its' role and responsibility from a Gendarmerie to a Military Force. On levels where a state of emergency and martial law has been declared Coruscant Security Force's usual strict criteria for employing lethal force are suspended, the standard is reduced in these environments to the Officers to merely form a "Reasonable" Suspicion that their target is involved in criminal activity or providing material or financial support to a foreign hostile power.
- Record Contact: Contact with all Citizens, Residents and Offenders must be recorded and submitted into the Officer's station database at the end of the shift where the contact occurs, this can be done either through the Officer's helmet audio/visual receptors or through physically recording the contacts in their duty book. Naturally, the same must be done when performing an investigation such as where a Security Officer is interviewing witnesses of a crime at the crime scene.
- Search Restrictions: To search an individual Officers must form a "Reasonable Suspicion" that the search target has committed or is about to commit an offence, however it is worth noting that Officers are not required to articulate the grounds for their reasonable suspicion at the time of performing the search. Typically, Coruscant Security Force Officers will perform a search of an arrested individual at the time of their arrest and then again at the station when they're held in security force custody at the beginning of the formal investigation prior to conducting interviews. Coruscant Security Force officers are restricted to utilizing the least invasive search method a "Reasonable Sentient" would deem necessary to collect the desired evidence.
- Tattoo Policy: To be eligible for recruitment and employment Coruscant Security Force Officers are prohibited from having any tattoos on their hands or face as these types of tattoos are perceived to be the mark of organised criminals. Any tattoo designs an Officer might have must be inoffensive and compliant with CORSECFOR's ethical standards and code of conduct. Tattoo designs which do not comply with the ethical standards or code of conduct must be removed or the Officer may have their employment terminated.
- Use of Force Logs: Whenever a Security Officer uses force in the course of their duties to enforce the law they are required to submit a written report to their Station Commander describing the incident and justifying the use of force, which the "Reasonable Sentient" should be able to deem proportionate otherwise the Officer could be subject to disciplinary action at best and prosecution by Coruscant Security Force at worst. If a complaint is made about the incident Ethical Standards Section review the evidence and make a conclusion over whether or not the use of force is justifiable and a recommendation to sentient resources as to appropriate punishment or prosecutions division/major crimes if there is overwhelming evidence to the Officer's criminal intent.

Founding:
Coruscant Security Force was originally founded during the Rusaan Reformation to provide Law Enforcement services for the Capital of the Galactic Republic, Coruscant. It was a measure taken to amalgamate and homogenise the various policing organisations across the gargantuan planet to increase efficiency through centralization and thus also became the single largest Law Enforcement organisation on the sprawling planet with jurisdiction over the entire Capital. Coruscant Security Force quickly gained a Reputation for its' apolitical dedication, dutifully serving the Chancellor and enforcing the senate's laws regardless of which parties or senators came to hold the most legislative power at any given time.
Late Galactic Republic & Galactic Empire:
Under Sheev Palpatine's reforms during the late Galactic Republic the Coruscant Security Force received increasing budget and law enforcement powers under the justification that it was necessary to curtail subversive and insurrectionist activity, receiving their first LAAT/le Gunships with increasingly military training being implemented at the Academy. Coruscant Security Force began to more and more resemble a professional military organisation in all but name and their uniform which at the time remained traditional and still possessed the outward appearance of being a strictly civilian policing organisation.
Following the rise of the Galactic Empire the last Policing droids were phased out in favour of sentient Officers who proved to be superior due to their capacity to adapt, learn and exhibit creativity. The apolitical and loyal Coruscant Security Force loyally served Emperor Sheev Palpatine in what are known by modern CORSECFOR Historians as "The Dark Days" due to the oppressive laws they were happy to enforce in accordance with their oaths. Coruscant Security Force frequently performed investigations in co-operation with both the Coruscant Guard and Imperial Security Bureau which earned the previously beloved Law Enforcement organisation an unsavory reputation for authoritarianism and racism that persists into the current day.
The Coruscant Security Force actively contributed to the Jedi Purge initiated by Emperor Sheev Palpatine, aiding the Coruscant Guard and Imperial Security Bureau in their pursuit of Jedi across the planet and alerting the odious Darth Vader or Inquisitorious whenever an investigation turned up a pertinent lead as seen in the case of Jocasta Nu. During that particular investigation ended with the suspect being terminated and the Coruscant Security Force losing one of their LAAT/le Gunship in a suspicious crash-landing, said Gunship had been carrying Nu, Lord Vader and a Squad of Shock Troopers although only Darth Vader survived the resultant explosion.
During the Galactic Empire's reign further centralisation took place within Coruscant Security Force it was formally renamed "Imperial Police" And their traditional uniforms were subsequently replaced by "Scout Stormtrooper" Armour and the Non-Humans amongst its' ranks were all but forced to resign. Its' Officers were additionally subjected to the Military Chain of Command, and participated in counter-insurgency operations carried out by the Stormtrooper Corps on the planet further cementing the association of the Security Force with authoritarianism in the minds of many Citizens. One benefit however of Imperial Reign was the excising of corruption from the organisation with Officers guilty of corruption being treated like traitors and swiftly executed. The actions of Imperial Government actually served to increase the integrity and trustworthiness of the organisation, which in turn resulted in its' officers at the time becoming even more efficienet at discharging their brutal dystopian duty.
The Empire and Imperial Police used the pervasive corruption among its' alien officers such as Prefect Phoca soot as justification of the Galactic Empire's state-enforced policies of racism against Humanoid Aliens, claiming such corruption and moral degradation was inherent to their species. After the reduction of corruption and the entirety of its' humanoid alien officers the Imperial Security Bureau would use Imperial Police as another tool in their genocide and persecution of Alien species, aiding military forces in the forced relocation of the Mon Calamari population from Coruscant's luxurious upper levels and old market district down into underworld slums whose constituent residents came to be over-represented by Non-Human species. During their forced relocation the Mon Calamari broke out into a vicious riot, resisting the Imperial Police Officers and Stormtroopers who were enforcing the exodus order unfortunately for these defiant Citizens their riot was suppressed with ferocity and brutality which far exceeded the gesture of defiance offered and left several dozen dead Mon Calamari who many Police Officers were heard making disparaging remarks about.
In 0 BBY following the sanctioned destruction of Alderaan by the Galactic Empire, rumours began spreading about the Imperial involvement in that worlds demise and this resulted in civil unrest especially on Level 3204 which was home to a massive population of Alderaani-Coruscanti Citizens. The vigils held in honour of their countrymen quickly escalated into heated discussions about the Galactic Empire, progressing into protests and then destructive riots which torched several Police Stations where a number of Officers were injured and killed. Level 3204 turned into a Warzone for nearly a week with Imperial Police and the Stormtrooper Corps responding with overwhelming force, declaring martial law on the level and enforcing a curfew where anybody found on the streets was arrested at best and viciously gunned down at worst with these casualties including the elderly, disabled and several children. A man named Reffe gave a speech criticising the Empire's corruption in an attempt to agitate his fellow Citizens during daylight hours and was summarily executed by Security Forces for treason.
The day following the enforcement of the Curfew Stormtroopers and Police Officers went door-to-door on level 3204 claiming that Rebel Spies and Infiltrator were living among the surviving Alderaanians and forcefully relocated the entire population in another instance of Imperial Police complying with their genocidal orders and moved them all down to the fetid underworld including levels 1997 down as far as level 1313. Following the Battle of Endor, the destruction of the Second Death Star and death of Emperor Sheev Palpatine celebrations broke out all across Coruscant amongst its' Citizenry. Many Stormtrooper Units were overwhelmed, detained or wiped out by groups of armed citizens exacting retribution upon their oppressors. Squads of Imperial Police personnel and Stormtroopers responded by entering monument plaza where Citizens were tearing down statues of Palpatine and fired upon the crowds of unarmed Citizens, killing dozens before being overwhelmed in turn.
Fully-Fledged Civil War then erupted between the Coruscanti, those still loyal to the Galactic Empire including the Imperial Police, Imperial Security Bureau and Imperial Stormtrooper Corps against Citizens who volunteered with the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The heaviest fighting occurred across the Federal District, Coco-Town and the Old Market District with Alliance forces managing to disable the Imperial forcefields and kinetic barriers with EMP devices and in many cases overran Imperial positions through sheer numbers. Following the Galactic Empire's defeat and Coruscant's admission into the New Republic many Citizens were disgusted that many high ranking members of Imperial Police were acquitted of charges in courts after successfully pleading the duress defence while others were prosecuted and convicted, having been eager and willing to participate in the genocidal operations ordered by the Galactic Empire. Imperial Police was dissolved and reorganised into Coruscant Security Force appropriately, although many of the New Order's policies and practices would be continued by the new organisation in subtle ways through the centuries to come. The universe and their own citizenry would never permit CORSECFOR to forget that they acquiesced to enforcing Sheev Palpatine's brutal, oppressive and totalitarian laws.
Modern Day:
In the modern day, Coruscant Security Force has become a true synthesis of all the different experiences and ideas pumped into the organisation across hundreds of years. They've evolved into a true Gendarmerie more like a Military with a law enforcement mandate rather than a true civil police agency. Its' officers wear the traditional blue of law enforcement with unconcealed pride with training comparable to a professional military the Officers within Coruscant Security Force are better armed, armoured and trained than they have ever been historically, exceeding that even under Sheev Palpatine's Galactic Empire. The collapse of galactic governments in the Gulag Plague's wake forced CORSECFOR to broaden its' responsibilities and now has operational and legal jurisdiction over the entire Corusca Sector acting as a Federal Law Enforcement agency and Military force in times of emergency, protecting the state.
They've remained apolitical and have served every Government of Coruscant faithfully in the decades since the plague's recession from Galactic Life, though they have never fully been able to leave behind the dreadful reputation earned under Emperor Palpatine's thrall its' Officers generally strive to be examples of duty and integrity. Their current motto supposed to emphasize the current focus on prosecuting and punishing Criminals in a reborn Galactic Landscape occupied by warlords, rogues and brigands. Coruscant Security Force stands ever vigilant and prepared to remind anarchists and criminals alike that the rule of law is in the Corusca Sector and it is there to stay. There are many who now look to Coruscant with envious eyes, not just for its' economic and manpower reserves but the training and efficiency of Coruscant Security Force which would make an invaluable asset for any Interstellar Republic or Totalitarian Empire as proven by their long unbroken history of meritorious service.
UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT
Coruscant Security Force Officers Wearing Their Operational Field Dress

The Coruscant Security Force has three uniforms for Security Officers, one operational field dress uniform that is worn in the field, a senatorial uniform and finally a ceremonial uniform. Field operational dress includes a black armourweave skintight environmentally controlled bodysuit worn under a uniform of tan coveralls with two zipper pockets implemented into the top of what would usually be the "trousers" their boots charcoal coloured. Over the uniform's torso is a Black TYI Flex-Armour panel that fits snugly over the wearer's abdomen and lower portions of the thorax and is held in place to a navy blue reinforced duraplast harness by approximately eight heavy Durasteel clips reaching around the ribs to the hard armour covering their spine.
Operational Dress includes several pieces of reinforced duraplast armour including a cuirass covering the upper thorax and the wearer's back down to their hops featuring a high rising gorget protecting the throat and neck from melee weapons, ranged weapons fire and high-velocity shrapnel. In addition to the gorget the Officer's groin is protected by a tapered duraplast plate, along with a pair of panels protecting the hips and a final one sitting at the base of spine so that the wearer cannot be easily paralysed by a bladed weapons sliding into the spinal column where it meets the pelvic bone. Protecting the Officer's thighs are a pair of reinforced duraplast plates that cover almost the entire outside of leg reaching from just below hip to just above the knee. Their black field boots are protected by hard duraplast gaiters, which many Officers find useful for striking uncooperative detainees or suspects in addition to keeping their lower extremities adequately protected. Additionally, the knee is protected by a laser cut duraplast plate fixed to the Tan coveralls to not interfere with flexibility or range of motion.
Standard-Issue Coruscant Security Force helmet is equipped with aural dampeners to protect the wearer from excessive air pressure created by high-decibel noises and includes a broadband comlink antennae with a range exceeding fifty-five kilometers, retinal-tracking capability for blink-clicking, a fully holographic helmet-mounted display including blue force tracking allowing Squad members to track one another's telemetry data. The opaque aqua coloured visor obscures the wearer's face and is constructed from Transparisteel and is sufficiently hardy that it may withstand direct impacts from high velocity missiles and even blasters to the surprise of many a not too bright criminal. Complying with Coruscant Security Force's policy of anonymity every helmet's annunciator is equipped with a vocal distorter with emulator capabilities to prevent identification of Officers based on their vocal patterns. Their helmet forms a strong hermetic seal around the vacuum-rated bodysuit and features a closed-circuit rebreather system allowing Officers to have a practically unlimited endurance in space for example. The Helmet possesses language translation technology permitting Officers to understand hundreds upon hundreds of common forms of verbal and written communication and is capable of switching between a variety of electro-magnetic visioning modes including Infrared, Near Infrared and Ultraviolet.
Identifying insignia and information is typically stamped in white on the Operational Dress, the Coruscant Security Force's symbol is typically found on the larger right pauldron while the left usually bares the word "SECURITY" or "POLICE" in appropriately bold high galactic letters crowned by a Sillitoe Tartan to identify the wearing Officers as Law Enforcement Officers for those Residents who might be unfamiliar with the Coruscant Security Force. To prevent residents or criminals constantly challenging them for identification the Officers will usually have their Warrant Number stamped in white on their gorgets and the back of helmet. Permitting them to circumvent the usual legislative and policy obligation to identify themselves by producing documentation.
Not unlike professional military units, certain Squads, Shifts and Teams of Coruscant Security Officers wear their own identifying insignia in addition to the Security Force's identifying symbol. These custom personalised insignia must be approved by ethical standards, but it is not unusual to find Officers in one Security Area wearing bland Operational Dress while another might wear insignia to identify their particular shift. The practice is frowned upon by many high-ranking Officers for it is perceived in some circles to be a risk to Officer Safety because it could serve to identify certain officers involved in the course of their operational security duties. The Practice of custom insignia added to the Operational Uniform is most prominent amongst some of those specially trained Divisions such as Tactical Operations, Public Order & Riot and Underworld Policing Divisions whose special purpose gives them a distinct esprit de corps.

Senatorial Field Dress is worn strictly by Security Officers who have the privilege of working within the Federal District, out of respect for the ancient institutions and history that remains there. Ceremonial Dress consists of a black armourweave environmentally-controlled vacuum-rated bodysuit worn with midnight blue reinforced duraplast armour manufactured as a perfect reproduction of the distinct armour worn by the ancient Senate Commandos who once served in the Galactic Republic's Senate Guard. The helmets seal hermetically to the vacuum bodysuit and have been modified to feature the distinct vocal distorters and emulators ubiquitous with Coruscant Security Force. Prominent feathered crests are built into their helmets and the Coruscant Security Force's seal is proudly worn in white on the enlarged left pauldron, replacing the original senate symbol not out of a malicious desire to erase the Senate Guard's history but to respect their esteemed and noble legacy carrying on their tradition as exemplars while respecting that ancient historic memory.
Security Officers are obligated their Ceremonial Dress on formal occasions such as parades, march-out graduations, court attendances and appointed Coruscant Security Force dinner nights. The Ceremonial Dress Uniform includes a pair of black high-shine polished boots, straight-leg style navy blue dress trousers, a blue marle long-sleeve collared shirt worn with a navy blue tie, authorised headdress is a peaked cap featuring a prominent sillitoe tartan with a genuine leather duty jacket worn over the shirt. This Ceremonial Dress Uniform is an all-season uniform to be worn year-round.
Arms & Appointments:
Coruscant Security Force Officers are issued with a short-barrel license-built DC-15A Blaster Rifle this weapon replaced the Blaster Pistols in Operational Security duties after rigorous testing where it was concluded that contemporary Blaster Rifle designs could be sufficiently compact for suitable wear in vehicles such as their Panther Police Interceptor and powerful enough to punch through Durasteel Armour sometimes worn by organised criminals. The DC-15A Blaster Rifle superseded the SE-14r Light Repeating Blaster that had been used during and following the collapse of Sheev Palpatine's Galactic Empire. Every single Coruscant Security Force Officer is issued with a spare gas cartridge for their Blaster Rifle giving each of them the ability to discharge around 1,000 shots before expending their issued ammunition, meaning that Coruscant Security Force can engage in protracted firefights where necessary, each Officer is additionally issued with a DC-15s Side Arm Blaster. Specialist Tactical Units such as the full-time Tactical Operations Division & Riot Division along with the part-time State Protection Group are equipped with a variety of specialist weapons for their specialised duties. Officers who are working in plainclothes or undercover are usually issued with a DC-15s side arm blaster because of its' reliability and recharging battery capability.
Equipment & Holsters:
In addition to their standard-issue Blaster Rifle, Coruscant Security Force are issued with a variety of other equipment to aid in performing Law Enforcement Duties including a pair of durable stuncuffs that induces pain into the nervous system upon resistance reducing the effectiveness of resisting arresting officers, a telescoping 40 cm (16") electrifiable stun baton that Security Officers can use as a blunt melee instrument to subdue violent offenders and finally a pair of riot CS gas grenades used to forcefully disperse crowds which might threaten Officers. In addition to their helmet's comlink antennae they are equipped with handheld digital ultra-high frequency and very high-frequency radios and an improved first aid kid. For Public Order and Riot events all Officers are provided with a hardy lightweight Riot Shield, which can be used in conjunction with their weapons.
Each Officer has access to a long fixed electrifiable stun baton that is popular among the Riot Division and a 70,000 candela rechargeable flashlight that can be affixed to the right or left side of the Operational Uniform's helmet. All Security Personnel are issued with a vacuum-sealed highly protective agility, endurance and strength enhancing Powersuit that is generally kept in the Station and worn in high-risk environments or a state of emergency, Tactical Operations and Riot Division typically wear the Powersuit full-time in lieu of the normal operational dress. Specialist Tactical Officers have access to a wide variety of exotic and specialist equipment denied to General Duties Officers.
The Majority of officers store their equipment in webbing harnesses worn over the upper chest and around the waist in a belt, although the load-bearing vest worn with Operational Dress is more popular as it relieves chronic back and hip pain experienced by Officers. Their DC-15A Blaster Rifles are generally stored in a holster on the right or left thigh as appropriate for the wearer and their DC-15s Side Arm Blaster is worn in an ankle holster on the outside of their boot. It's common for Officers wearing their field dress to sport Navy Blue backpacks and hydration packs for use on extended duty and their helmets' mouth-grill features a port which can be opened to feed the hydration packs' hose through so they can consume water whilst on duty without compromising their anonymity. Officers who volunteer for plainclothes or undercover duty are issued with a covert plate carrier fitted with four flexible reinforced duraplast panels worn over the torso under their clothes.
Vehicles:
The Coruscant Security Force possesses one of the largest Government-owned fleets in the entire galaxy with more than 190,200,000 Vehicles of various propulsion mechanisms in inventory held on a lease basis. Most Field Operations Unit divisions use the Panther Police Interceptor as their primary response vehicle, with seating capacity for four occupants it can carry an entire squad of Security Officers, or two Security Officers and two detainees as necessary with high modularity it is the workforce of CORSECFOR. Coruscant Security Force maintains a large fleet of Gunships and Dropships for airborne transport, surveillance and fire support where necessary, the workhorse of their aerial assets is the LAAT/le "Police Gunship" which is small enough to traverse Coruscant's carnivorously sized underworld. The smaller Law Enforcement Gunship is supplemented by small numbers of the full-sized Low-Altitude Assault Transport/Infantry and Low-Altitude Assault Transport/Carrier.
Specialist Vehicles operated by Tactical Units include the TX-130T Fighter Tank which is used for high-risk special response Security Operations in multiple environments. Security Officers utilize the Biker Advanced Reconnaissance Commando Speeder Bike for its' high speed and maneuverability in remote environments and tight quarters. For mass suspect transport during large-scale Public Order incidents or the widespread serving of arrest warrants the Coruscant Security Force has a large fleet of HAVw A6 Juggernaut tanks which can also be used to quickly transport massive amounts of Security Officers to major incidents. There are several Walkers within Coruscant Security Force's inventory, including but not limited to the All-Terrain Anti-Air Walker which it uses on the rare occasion to deter and prevent criminals, pirates or hostile state actors from freely navigating the planetary skyspace.
With a Policing jurisdiction that stretches well and out into the space of Corusca Sector the Coruscant Security Force maintains its' own dedicated Starfighter Group which includes hundred upon hundred of Starfighters used to patrol and protect civilian commerce and passenger vessels moving through their jurisdiction. Because of the large distance that is required to be covered the Coruscant Security Force maintains a massive fleet of ARC-170 Starfighters which fulfils the versatile role of Fighter and Bomber for the Security Force. The Security Force's fighters are supported by a small navy consisting exclusively of Corvettes and Frigates including but not limited to numerous amounts of the Imperial-Designed Raider-II Class Corvette and Ardent-Class Fast Frigates which they use to enforce border, customs and transport law. It is a notable trend that the Coruscant Security Force's exoatmospheric naval assets prioritize speed over armour and firepower so as to make a minimum response time to distressed vessels although in their law enforcement duties this is seldom an issue as they typically go up against pitiful pirate skiffs or criminals in force sizes usually not exceeding a single corvette and squadron of fighters
Droid Platforms:
Autonomous Droid Platforms have long been a valuable tool in Law Enforcement and Military applications and Coruscant Security Force is not blind to this fact and possesses an inventory of more than four-hundred thousand Droid Constructs to use in the course of their duties, for centuries the workhorse of the droid fleet has been the Coruscant Police Probe as the name implies it it produced locally in accordance with domestic requirements of the Corusca Sector. It is an unarmed platform with two red photoreceptors which allows it to see, analysing and identifying suspects and wanted persons with the application of facial recognition technology. Once the Probe Droid has identified a suspect or wanted individual it immediately alerts the closest Security Area Commands who will then dispatch organic officers to investigate, the Probes due to their small size are also capable of covertly tracking and shadowing criminals which in turn permits Coruscant Security Officers to identify the movements of suspects. Sensors aboard the Probe permit it to function in low-light situations and to detect emissions across the entire electro-magnetic spectrum.
Its' use doesn't end at offender identification and tracking, Police Probes are used to help enforce cordons and establish crime scenes. When en-route to an emergency the Police Probe can announce its' presence using an onboard siren which acts as an alert for Citizens to give way to the moving Probe. Police Probes are equipped with a vocabulator which permits them to speak and Security Officers can use them to remotely communicate with Citizens or Offenders, for this reason they are genuinely useful for conveying public service announcements and notifying the populace about upcoming legislative or policy changes which will impact how Coruscant Security Force polices the community. Police Probe have become ubiquitous with the force who additionally modify them as explosive ordnance disposal droids by modifying them with Durasteel Arms which it can then use to interact with suspicious packages or devices on behalf of Organic Officers and detonate or recover explosive ordnance as necessary.
For complex translating and community interaction services Coruscant Security Force keeps tens of thousands of 3PO Protocol Droid Units in service as a preventative precaution, unwilling to replace these archaic droid constructs despite their advanced age due to the sheer effectiveness they possess in facilitating efficient communication across language and cultural barriers which aids Security Officers immensely in their law enforcement and policing duties especially when it comes to performing criminal investigations such as interviewing suspects and witnesses to crime.

Coruscant Security Force maintains an internal honours and awards system for Officers who distinguish themselves in the course of their service, these awards are presented personally by the Coruscant Security Force's Director, who is their agency executive and therefore its' highest ranking official.
Security Force Honours and Awards are highly coveted by its' members as they are exclusively produced in small numbers and thus rarely issued to General Duties Command Officers who do the bulk of day-to-day Policing.
