"We made it, we made this astronomical station of godly proportions. We did this, we did it. All it costed was the lives of a few million volunteers, but look at what had been created...unlimited power, a limitless source of clean energy. Energy that we can sell to others...we can pack it and sell it and tax it, we will make double the cost it took to make in a year."

The Coruscanti, Hussar-designation Dyson Swarm Station is a near limitless source of clean, renewable, and nigh ever-lasting energy. The power that this civilian station alone can reach up to the levels of powering the ecumenopolis of the planet of Coruscant, who's sun the station is located around, three times over with power to spare. The Dyson Swarm Station or simply the D.S.S collects energy from the solar body of the Coruscant system utilizing an array of massive solar panels which orbit the sun on an artificially created and artificially fueled heliocentric orbit. Though the length, width, and height of the station is limited in scope to 40,000 meters, the number of one meter solar panels greatly expands on that meager number to collectively gather as much power as possible while keeping production costs at the cheapest possible...or at least to try and keep the production cost relatively cheap compared to it's already astronomical size and resource usage and financial costs.
The Core Imperial Confederation commissioned for a massive industrial project to take place. Such a product was to be one to produce a massive amount of power, enough to power the planet of Coruscant for generations to come. The Confederation issued the request to multiple interstellar companies, granting whichever company impressed most with a large sum of credits and 'volunteers' to help with the project. The race began and Griffin Interstellar Manufacturing followed suit with other companies, making up designs and digital representations of what the end-product would be. A physical representation of what they wanted was an impossibility, they hadn't the time nor the allocated resources to produce such a thing. However in the end, they were graced with Imperial favor and defeated the competition. The Confederation gave the GIM a large sum of credits and volunteers to help with the project, along with mining land leases on Imperial controlled worlds to begin resource extraction and allocation to begin the construction of this 'super-structure' as it was called by head engineer Kalinski Ubatrovv.
Droids of all kinds were used to gather the resources and metals necessary, with fabricated structures being set up on foreign worlds to refine as much metal as possible without having to send it to the headquarters of the GIM to refine it. The GIM received most of it's metal from the mineral rich world of Varadan where an already existing mining complex existed, ready to be used at a moments notice. Miners of both artificial design and natural design were sent in, and began to hack away at the rocks. Many died in the process, from cave-ins to mining vehicles malfunctioning...all of which acted to stall the project. Despite such a thing, the resources were speedily gathered within a year, it took a year to gather the remaining amount of resources while the majority came from resource silos held under control by the GIM on the planet of Varadan along with at their head quarters. With resource silos depleted and over a million and a half killed from mining accidents, the construction of the superstructure could begin at once, at last. Finally.
Construction of the superstructure was slow and taxing, it took many months and even a few years for the project to be finished. Not even the advanced manufacturing and production lines of the GIM could keep up with the astronomical amount of resources needed to create such a thing. The Solar Panels were created within the gravity wells of planets, and then they were sent to orbital stations around Coruscant and resource silos on the planet to store them for the time being until all parts were accounted for. And then construction truly began, a process which took two years...leading to a total accumulated time of four years for construction, one year for collection of resources, another for manufacturing, and two for the orbital construction.
The Dyson Swarm Station makes use of a laser-linked energy transference system, utilizing radio waves and the light spectrum to transfer energy directly to massive energy banks on the planet of Coruscant. Whatever energy that cannot be transferred to the energy banks is transferred directly to a tall, tower-like structure which connects directly into the energy grid of the planet, pouring any remaining power into that. From there, whatever energy that is not utilized by the planet of Coruscant is then fitted onto customized and modified cargo frigates and cruisers where it is then delivered to buyers all over the Galaxy, turning a mighty profit. Efforts to transfer the energy to far-away systems via the same laser-transference system are undergoing testing to try and cut costs, however currently the cost is far too great and outweighs the cost of utilizing starships.
The Station had two control stations, one at each 'pole' of the luminescent celestial object of burning gas. Both of these stations help to monitor the entirety of the station, transfer power, and keep everything running under optimal conditions. At all times, there are over thirty-two individuals, both engineers and scientsits alike, working on a control station...summing up to sixty-four total civilians on the entirety of the station. This however, does not include garrisons or patrol vessels that may protect the Dyson Swarm Station. Alongside the civilians, there exists an Artificial Intelligence core which regulates the entiriety of the station, more specifically, the movement of the hundreds upon thousands of upon tens of thousands of solar panels. Nicknamed simply 'Khali,' the artificial intelligence constantly makes calculations to move the solar panels about the star to gather as much energy as possible. It helps to maximize overall power gain and more specifically, helps to ensure almost no accidents in regards to the solar panels colliding with one another. The Khali AI is a 'dumb ai,' meaning that it can do it's assigned job and do it well, though it has little in the way of free-thinking...acting merely as an artificial personality complex which can effectively operate the station.
