STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
[+] – Book Worm: Corvis is an academic at heart, he is never happier than when he has his nose buried in some form of reading material. This life long habit has meant that Corvis has a wide ranging and varied knowledge on numerous subjects. He is familiar with many things but an expert in nothing.
[+] – Hopelessly Devoted: Once his mind has been made up then Corvis will see a plan through to the bitter end or defend a friend to the very last. This sense of loyalty and determination is hard earned but once it has been achieved then it rarely falters.

[+/-] – Speaks his mind: Speaking one’s mind can be both a help and a hindrance. It means that Corvis can be relied upon to provide an honest opinion, even if it has not been asked for.
[+/-] – Sarcastic: When Corvis is speaking his mind, it is often laced with sarcasm. For the most part this is an involuntary protective mechanism done without thinking and is rarely done with any genuine desire to be unpleasant.

[-] – Physically Inept: weak, clumsy and uncoordinated; Corvis has achieved the trifecta of physical uselessness. Years of practice and training have yielded small improvements but Corvis remains the stereotypical academic weakling.
[-] – Socially Inept: Years of studying and a sarcastic nature have meant that Corvis finds it difficult to interact with others in any meaningful way. This does not mean that he does not want to interact with others, just that it does not come naturally.

APPEARANCE:
Corvis is a tall, slim, serious looking man who would be best described as unremarkable. Almost everything about the man was average, his brown hair was smartly cut and always kept in near perfect condition. His steely grey eyes made him look quite serious at times but this seriousness is often undone by the earnestness of their gaze. If it were not for the fact that he still had the veil of youth upon him, Corvis could have easily been mistaken for a middle-aged librarian.

BIOGRAPHY:
Corvis cannot really remember his life before the Jedi, he was very young when he was taken into the Order. He does not know whether his parents had given him to the Silver Jedi, wanting them to teach him in the ways of the Force or whether he had been found by the Order and taken in. It would not be too difficult to find out more about his early life but Corvis was, perhaps knowingly, trying to protect himself from the truth. Living with the stories he could tell himself was surely better than the potential for the mundane truths or even cruel realities.

From an early age it was clear that he was never going to be the Order’s finest physical specimen, the Sith could sleep easily in their beds if they saw Corvis in action with a lightsaber. It often took all of his concentration and strength to do what other younglings seemed to do with ease. He would spend hours practicing basic physical trials and tests, just when he thought he was beginning to master them Corvis would realise how far behind everyone else he was. Unwilling to given in he would persist just enough to ensure that he would meet the necessary requirements. Corvis often felt that other younglings and even the more senior Jedi felt sorry for him and found him to be a little unusual. Perhaps that is why he developed a habit of telling others exactly what he thought and repelling any attempts at friendship or praise with sarcasm.

Corvis had always comforted himself with the idea that what he lacked in physical skill, he more than made up for in academic prowess. He seemed to excel when studying, the ability to find and retain pieces of information came naturally to him; of course, the practical use and implications of this knowledge was often a lost on him. Although he knew he should not, Corvis did find a degree of pleasure in being able to out-think or at least out-learn all those other younglings who were faster, stronger or more agile than him. This of course did not do much to improve his social standing but he had long since gotten used to the degree of separation between himself and other people. Though he could not help but feel that in shutting himself off in a world of study and academia, that he was missing out on something. Something that he, if only secretly, wanted.

As he reached maturity Corvis knew all too well that he was an unusual specimen for a Jedi Padawan. He probably should have already resigned himself to the life of a librarian or archivist, safe learning about the achievements of others and satisfying oneself by basking in their reflected glory. However, he felt the urge, the call to do something more; something that was at this point unknown to him. If there was one thing that his studies had taught him, that was to trust in the guidance of the Force. Besides which if it all did go horribly wrong, Corvis could rest easy in the knowledge that there would always be the library for him to go back to.
