The Venjuta Bloodline

The Venjuta Bloodline, a Sanguinius Vampirika and Vahla species hybrid, is one of the more notable bloodlines, dating back several thousands of years. It is not actually known when the two species discovered one another, but it is assumed after the Jedi Knight's attempt to exterminate the Vahla cult for their twisted and decadent ways, and their inherited connection to the Dark Side, the nomadic Vahla ended up on Serenno where the two species bred. Most of the offspring fled the planet, opting to travel the galaxy. The ones that remained on Serenno took the surname Venjuta, thus creating their own Bloodline; and eventually creating the noble House Venjuta.

Members of the Bloodline are of high nobility and great wealth. Venjutas consider themselves the pioneers of the artisan movement, most taking a fascination with art, music, and theatre; thus most Venjuta partake in some form or other of the artisan world. Due to their breeding with the Vahla, all Venjuta are born with the Force, mainly the Dark Side; though not all Venjuta embrace their Force born gifts. Heated debates over who produces more Force based users, the Venjuta or the Athzaria, have caused a bitter rival between the two Bloodlines.

The Venjuta Bloodline is looked upon as snobby, narcissistic, and uptight by the other Bloodlines; prompting very little contact between Venjuta and the other Bloodlines. The Bloodline, outside their artisan nature, have a talent for business, politics, and the uncanny ability to achieve high levels of knowledge; most Venjuta owning lavish libraries.

They share the similar physical traits with all the other Sanguinius Vampirika, but due to their breeding with the Vahla they possess two identifying traits. Each Venjuta has red hair or some aspect of the color and due to the mixing of the genes, they have predominately green eyes. Those born under this Bloodline take the last name Venjuta.

House Venjuta

On the planet of Serenno, House Venjuta is one of most influential, and most controversial, of all the noble Houses. House Venjuta is also the ruling House of the Venjuta Bloodline, though this information is unknown to the other Serenno Houses. Every Bloodline member is part of the House Venjuta, and with everyone treated as an equal; for the exception of House Venjuta's Count. For checks and balances, House Venjuta has a council to advise the current Count in all affairs related to the House and the Bloodline.

Members of House Venjuta have integrated themselves in not only Serenno politics, but galactic politics as well; and galaxy wide businesses. Not natural warriors, those that have embraced their Force born gift have elected to pursue it deeply, exchanging traditional combat for more extensive power through the Force; most studying both Sith and Dathomir magic, leading them to accept the understanding they are a need breed of witch.

There is only one House Venjuta (and one Count) which is seated on the planet of Serenno. However, with the Bloodline spread through the galaxy, smaller less Houses (Still Called Venjuta) are entitled to rule their clansmen and clanswomen; though all these smaller Houses must follow the rules and guidelines set forth by THE House Venjuta. Once a year, all the distinguished members of House Venjuta across the galaxy meet on an undisclosed planet to address issues and affairs that directly affect House Venjuta; and occasionally they discuss the troubles of the galaxy.

The Dathomir Witches

Like all Venjuta who embrace their Force ability, Marlow was sent to Dathomir to study with the Green Mystic Clan, a sect of Nightsisters, to learn about Dathomir Magic. The Clan and the Venjuta Bloodline possessed a long standing firendship, and were willingly to bestow their ancient craft to those worthy enough to learn it. So Marlow, like all those of his Bloodline that came before him, were sent out into the jungles to pass the Rite of Acceptance; a test that pitted them against a mighty predator known as the Jungle Rancor.

Upon passing the test, barely, he began his study of Dathomir Magic under Aspal. Aspal, one of the Clan's Elders taught him several aspects of Dathomir Magic, where he soaked up knowledge at a high rate. During his studies, or Apprenticeship to Aspal, he thrived at certain spells and riutals such as Aspect of the Storm, Chant of Resurrection, Ears of the Chiroptix, Scream of the Ssurian, and Spell of Interpretation.

After his study was complete, he was thrown a celebration marking him as a Nightbrother of the Green Mystic Clan.

The Sith

One of the most controversial theories of House Venjuta and the Venjuta Bloodline was their association with the Sith. Though there is no actual proof, only speculation, that their ever existed an alliance; members of the Bloodline and the House have extent knowledge of Sith Magic. However, despite all the speculation and lack of evidence to support this theory; House Venjuta and the Venjuta Bloodline indeed have bond of friendship; though over the years that bond had grown shaky.

After Marlow's return from Dathomir, he spent three weeks with his family before being sent to the planet of Felucia; where he would study Sith Magic under an elderly Sith Sorcerer known only as Gartho. During his studies with this sorcerer, he learned about alchemy and how to create, charm, and curse objects. He even learned the foundations of lightsaber forms, though Marlow would never wield a lightsaber; but the knowledge that came from the forms enabled him to become a swordsmen none-the-less.

But it was the nature of Sith Magic why he was here. Gartho taught him everything he knew involving the ancient craft, but Marlow opted to learn only a few Sith spells. Through his extensive studies, he learned Qazoi Kyantuska, Dark Side Tendrils, Dwomutsiqsa, Torture by Chagrin, and Waves of Darkness, Aura of Uneasiness, and Pyrokinesis.

Like his conclusion of studies with Aspal, Marlow returned home to Serenno where he learned the death of his Father.

The Great Purge

With the death of his Father and his appointment to Count of House Venjuta, rumors began to surface about a plot from other Serenno Houses that resulted in the death of Marlow's Father; with some of his own family suspecting he had a hand in the plot. This was untrue, and to prove he had no part in the death of his Father Marlow launched a shadowy investigation into the allegations surrounding the plot. When he read the final results, he grew furious, calling for members of the Venjuta Bloodline on other planets to return to Serenno and murder the plotters and their families.

For two weeks, members of the Serenno House plotters were being discovered brutally murdered across the planet, and on other worlds. By the end of the purge, twenty-two Serenno noblemen and their families were dead. Though nobody actually pointed the finger toward House Venjuta, it was always known it was their hands drenched in blood.
