DARK EMPIRE
SERENNO, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

Rackham grabbed a drink from one of the waiters as he observed the ballroom as it buzzed with activity and energy as nobles engaged with one another in today's social event. This was one of many parties often hosted by the Serennian Nobility to mingle and socialize amongst each other in their free time, which Rackham was able to gain access too thanks to his superior, Lord-Regent Sularen's connections with one of the Great Houses of Serenno, House Vemec, which had once ruled over the planet under the rule of the ambitious Trajann Vemec and his iteration of the First Order. Since then, Serenno had been left to it's own devices under the Great Houses with the planet remaining uninvolved in the ongoing conflicts that currently ravaged the galaxy.

However, Rackham was not here to simply mingle with the Serennian Nobility. Today he was here with on a diplomatic mission on the behalf of the Lord-Regent, with the objective of establishing political connections with elements of the Serennian Nobility to gather more support for the Dark Empire across the New Territories. While the Empire enjoyed the support of House Vemec, the Lord-Regent sought more influence over Serenno, whose wealth and strategic location along the Hydian Way could benefit the Empire's plans for the New Territories.

So far, Rackham had spoken to a few Nobles although none of them had the potential to really serve as reliable allies to the Empire in the same capacity as House Vemec, although the night was still young and there were plenty of Nobles that he could still approach. As Rackham pondered on his next move, having finished his drink, the sound of music could be heard as pairs of nobles would proceed to the dance floor. As for Rackham, he would remain on the sidelines, scanning the room for any noble that may catch his interest among the gathered crowd of individuals who like him had chosen to simply observe the dance.

This was going to be a long night, but if it meant advancing the Imperial Agenda then Rackham was willing to endure the sheer boredom of this party.
