- Loudspeakers — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was equipped with loudspeakers to communicate with the surrounding the area. They're used to make public announcements, occassionally orders, to surrounding combatants, and can be used to play music.
- Lifeform Scanner — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was equipped with rudimentary scan device that can track down and map the location of lifeforms within a single kilometer area. The scanner is unable to detect lifeforms that have concealed their presence with stealth technology, biology, or other means of concealment.
- Thermal Imaging Scanner — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was equipped with a scan device that provides the crew with infrared vision.
- Overpressure Protection System — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was equipped with protective measures to keep the crew safe from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazards in the surrounding environment.
- 4 x Tow Sling — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was given four slings installed on the turret structure, two in the front, and two in the back, which can attach cables for towing vehicles or for pulling down structures.
- Firepower, Anti-Infantry — Equipped with a rapid firing Rotary Blaster Cannon, and two additional forward-facing Blaster Cannons, the CQ-10a Multiped Walker can bring a lot of firepower to bear on enemy infantry on the streets of a city.
- Firepower, Anti-Light Armor — Equipped with ten Light Concussive Missile Launchers, the CQ-10a Multiped Walker can make quick work against lightly-armored vehicles.
- Blaster Resistance — The Impervium armor layer provides the CQ-10a Multiped Walker the ability to withstand enemy blaster fire.
- Kinetic Resistance — The Impervium armor layer in conjunction with the underlying Thorilide layer provides the CQ-10a Multiped Walker the ability to withstand both small and moderately-sized kinetic attacks.
- Electromagnetic Resistance — The Tridurium-Agrinium layer of the armor, along with the faraday cage components, provides the CQ-10a Multiped Walker the ability to withstand most electromagnetic attacks, especially those coming from a wide-area pulse, or ion blast.
- Environmental Protection — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was designed with an overpressure protection system to provide it the ability to operate in hostile environments, including those impacted by chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear hazards.
- Magnetic Feet — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker can walk on sturdy metal surfaces, including vertically alongside the surface of some tall structures.
- Short Range — The armaments that have been equipped on the CQ-10a Multiped Walker are short ranged, intended to be used in its proximity, which prevents it from returning fire on an enemy equipped with more ranged weaponry.
- Heavy Armor Vulnerability — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker is not armed well enough to deal with other enemy vehicles that are equipped with heavy armor (ex. AT-AT Walker)
- Lightsaber Vulnerability — The multi-layered armor of the CQ-10a Multiped Walker did not include materials that would provide it resistance to a slash from a light saber, which can be used to cut through the hull, or dismember one of the walker's legs.
- Vulnerable Undercarriage — A couple of proton grenades directly beneath where the Rotary Blaster Cannon is located could break the chassis, and could cause the turret structure to collapse in, immobilizing the CQ-10a Multiped Walker.
- Air Superiority Vulnerability — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker lacks good options to deal with airborne enemies.
- Slow — The CQ-10a Multiped Walker was not designed to engage in fast pursuits.
The Federal Cooperative began Project Inland in 845 ABY. The aim was to create a vehicle that could escort infantry in hostile environments. After a couple of years the design team would develop what would be named the Close Quarters (CQ) Multiped Walker. Capable of tearing up an enemy position with its rapid firing Rotary Blaster Cannon, and able to withstand enemy return fire, the Close Quarters Multiped Walker met the expectations of the Federal Cooperative leadership. The CQ-10 Multiped Walker entered into production in 851 ABY, and the first generation were completed the following year. In the following years the CQ-10a Multiped Walker can frequently be seen walking alongside liberation forces, and engaged in combat with leftover storm troopers in scattered systems across the Galaxy.
