STANDARD FEATURES
The CR112 Corvette contains standard features technologically comparable to other military corvettes in the modern era. Its computers, sensors, and other systems are of similar codes and specifications of other ships.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
  • Power Converter: The new models now include Power Converters and a small reserve Power Generator, which allows them to boost one of their combat systems in battle, or assist with a rapid startup sequence.
Weaknesses:
  • Unassigned Energy: In combat, the reserve power must be assigned by the crew or droid or it is not utilized or directed. This means when ambushed by enemy craft, the vessel is not able to perform at its full potential for a time.
  • One System at a Time: The corvette’s power converter can only direct its reserve power to a single combat system at a time, taking several moments to stop the flow of energy to one system, redirect it, and begin the flow of energy to the next system.
  • Blindspot: The CR112 has the traditional large blind-spot found on older vessels, leaving a large vector from which it can be pursued with relative impunity.
DESCRIPTION
The CR112, the latest in a long line of Corellian Blockade Runners and Corvettes stands as a testament to the durability of the class’s design. Modernized and updated with new technology and updated systems to match current technological codes and standards, along with regular updates to keep the class up to date with modern systems.

The CR112 is a patrol corvette with a small hangar on its ventral facing, escape pods to the port and starboard of the spine for personnel to flee the vessel from, and a small handful of weaponry. Its powerful engines lend it above standard speed and agility, able to outrun enemy capital ships and power through formations on its thrusters. However its large engine block does create the traditional blind-spot associated with its predecessors.

For weaponry, the CR112 has a pair of dual turbolasers for anti-capital ship duty, best used in packs to disable larger or better armored foes. It is much more potent against other patrol craft and freighters, able to force smaller pursuing ships away from it and sometimes used as a small anti-fighter craft.

As with many other Alderaan Engineering designs the CR112 has been fitted with a Power Converter which it uses to modulate the flow of power from its primary reactor to amplify its combat systems. Using this system it is able to boost either its weapons, shields, or engines slightly while in combat. It takes the system a few short moments to stop the flow of energy to one system, redirect the powerflow, and re-enable the system once more.

L Laira Darkhold , currently, hangar count is regulated a little bit more strictly than it has in the past. If it doesn't exist as an option in the starship templates, it doesn't exist as an option for creation. I'd recommend bumping it up to 200 meters in length, which could help with this:

The CR112 is a patrol corvette, carrying a single squadron of Starfighters and a rescue shuttle or small diplomatic yacht.

Since we can't have singular support craft that aren't somehow listed in the hangar allocation field, a "High" rating at 200 meters would give you the option for a starfighter squadron and a support craft squadron.

L Laira Darkhold , I understand the logic behind it, and if there was an option to make up ratings for unlisted lengths, I would agree with you that it's reasonable and I would approve this.

However, right now, we do not have the option to do this as either submitter or factory judge - it's beyond both of our scope to decide as individuals. A submitter with a similar situation with a frigate's hangar capacity and an unlisted length started a suggestion thread to get that length added. That length was added to the starship template. I would recommend doing the same if you feel strongly about keeping this at 150 meters.

That seems unnecessary and complex though? Can't an fj infere balance without the templates having to be altered for every possible length of a vessel? 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, etc? Or are ships with lengths not listed in the hangar templates not allowed at all?

What is the cut off length before its closer to one template than to another and therefore counts? Would 151 meters count as big enough for the 200 meter template? Could i up the rating to Very High using the 100 meter template or is it too far away from that template to use at this point?

L Laira Darkhold , using the 100 meter "Very High" rating would work, though it may require changing rating balances elsewhere.

You can always use small hangar counts of smaller ships for unlisted larger ships, we just can't make up entirely new ratings for unlisted lengths. It may help to think of the ship length for hangar bay ratings as the minimum ship length to get that rating.
