- Trade a life, for a life. (Transfer Essence/Transfer Force)
- Power must be equally exchanged to perform this. PC's cannot be brought by by an NPC. It must be done with the life of a PC character. However, a PC can be used to bring back an NPC if so desired.
- Harnesses "Life energy" or the Living Force to the Nth degree.
- It can bestow upon people the Gift of the Force. Amplifying their more powerful emotions, thoughts and desires.
- It can transport an individual to the Netherworld, however, should the user lose contact with the Cradle, they will be lost within Netherworld.
- Balanced, As all things should be: Many Jedi, and Sith through the thousands of years have studied and explored the exploits of one of the aspects of the force. The Living Force. As such, the artifact is able to provide the user with an intense and powerful connection to the force. However, at a severe cost.
- Life as we know it: The artifact is able to affect all things related to life, or life like nominations within the force. Many are related to the "Soul" or the Living entity within a Force user, or an individual. Healing wounds would be trivial, Providing living energy to someone is do able, and even transferring essence of an individual can be done.
- Gifted and Cursed: A rather rare ability, is giving people the usage of the force. Enhancing someone from being a mere Apprentice rank in power, to a knight or further to a master level power. However, it is inherently neutral in this gift, and any further amplification is done by the emotions, desires or thoughts of the individual receiving this gift. Which can turn them to the light or to the dark in extreme levels.
- Balanced, As all things should be: For one person to live, another must die in any usage. Healing Lethal wounds would cause the user of the artifact to suffer the same wound. Taking it upon themselves. This is also true when giving someone the force. Should someone be gifted the force, it will take a massive force signature or a nexus's worth of power in order to focus it within an individual. Draining people around the user, or draining the power of the force from a nexus. Otherwise, it will absorb the user and kill them.
- Voided: As with any Force artifact, it can be rendered inert via, Force suppression or like minded items, objects or powers.
- Light or Dark, your choice: Giving the gift of the force, is not Dark, or Lightsided in nature. Instead, feeds off of the emotions, desires, and thoughts that are strongest within someone. An example would be one who is doing it in spite, hatred, and anger would be given a heavily leaning dark side presence, while someone else who is seeking repentance, love, protection or other like minded to be gifted in a light side leaning presence.
- One Way Ticket: While performing the action of transporting to the Netherworld, It requires Mastery of the force with a connection to the living force. Secondarily, it is not an instant back and forth. Performing the action takes time and nearly all of an individuals focus to perform. Thus using this in combat, is extremely difficult unless the individual can be guarded and protected.
- Back to the Future: Due to this required energy to perform the feat, Once in the Netherworld, coming back requires more energy and time. This is to spatial dilation. Using it incorrectly could cause an individual to come out of the Netherworld, directly into the void of space, the core of a planet, or an undesirable location. The safest and easiest bet, would be to perform a ritual in which will make a specific location the "Anchor" for which the user can transport from the Netherworld back to the world of the living. However, there can only be one "Anchor" location at a time, as well as if knowledge of this anchor is known, then it could easily be set up for an ambush.
- Short Buss to Hell: As with any kind of artifact that can transport people to the netherworld, It is possible to do this with multiple people. However, doing so would be extremely taxing, even more so than it already is, upon the user. Thus, requiring multiple sources of power from multiple individuals, or drawing power from a Nexus of the force. For each person that is transported at one time, the power drain exponentially raises. (Example: 2 people = Power of 4 people, 3 people = power of 8 people, 4 people = power of 16 people.)
Eracules, a Demi-god of myth and legend of the Hellyni people is well known for many exploits. However, it is this one that he is most told in. Eracules a man of great strength and fortitude, had seen the beauty of a nymph. A woman who at first teased the Demi-god with never being able to reach her. Egging the man on in a game of cat and mouse to catch her. Taking years in order to find and finally secure her, the Nymph asked of all things that Eracules would desire of her, what would it be?
Much thought was poured into this. Asking the Nymph that he should be given time for what he wanted from her. But now that he had secured her, she was bound to be with him until he answered. She agreed reluctantly to stay with him until his answer was given. For years the two were together on other adventures. In this time, they grew fond of one another. Eventually, the answer was given.
Eracules desired the nymph to be his wife. Asking her, she was embarrassed and confused. Unable to answer him, she fled. Leaving him and his answer hanging. Tafos, jealous of such exploits, as well as for these years seeing his creatures and monsters destroyed by Eracules, found the nymph. Dragging her to the underworld.
It was when Eracules heard of such god performing this to the one he loved, the Demi-god found the gates of hell. Traversing the wasteland of the dead and spirits. Eventually finding Tafos. Demanding that the God release his love. Tafos could not. As it was his job to bring those who should be dead to the underworld. It was her time. If Eracules wished to go against the natural order, then he would have to find the Cradle of Life.
Hidden within a Maze, the Demi-god spent years more searching for this Cradle. Unsure of what it really was, he met the god once more. Asking of what it was. Showing him that the Cradle of Life was a simple orb of crystaline glass, it would give him the gift of life to be given to others. Following such through the maze, Eracules had found a loophole. Tafos said that he needed to find it. Not that he needed to have it in hand.
As such, A third and final meeting with the God of the underworld was met with the Demi-god proclaiming he knew where it was. Upon asking him, Eracules proclaimed "It is within the maze." A very vague question of where to find the item, Tafos was angered by this. Yet accepted this answer as it was true. He never stated that the man had to have it in hand. As such, the orb found it's way to the Demi-god.
However, as soon as he touched it, wishing his love would come back from the dead, Eracules could feel himself fading. A sapping of his strength as his own life force was used to bring the life of the Nymph back to the realm of living. Releasing the orb, Tafos cackled at the man. Stating that only one who could bring a life to the world, would have to send one to hell. It was in cruel fate, that Eracules left the underworld. The god following him. Chastising him for thinking he was so smart, but fell short.
Yet, Eracules just laughed. Reaching out to grab the hand of the god, With the final words from his lips, he exclaimed. "A life for a Life." In that moment, the life of the got Tafos, as he resided in the realm of the living, was removed to that of the underworld. Forever removed from the people of Hora, and Eracules found his Nymph within his arms.
It has been eons later, and has been discovered by Atheus as an artifact of the force. While unsure if the stories were true, or even if there was a god of Tafos, all myths, come from truth.
