Izevel Zambrano
Raven
Scene Setting:
Just some ruins
Solar hues of alternating color peering from behind jagged mountain peaks. Rays of gold pink, blue orange and violet. Illuminating the heavens in their final hours of brilliance. As night would soon outstretch its infinite wings and engulf the world. A cool breeze ushering in the night hour. Whistling through the thicket of brush and limbs. Hollow haunting draws of deep whispering willows. The low valley set betwixt the surround range of towering slopes. As if caging the area off from the rest of the world and it's corruption.
The modern Eden nearly untouched by structures outside of nature's design. Ancient cobble stone alleys and pathways over grown and near invisible to the naked eye. Amdist the center lies long since crumbled towers and dwellings. Short walls overgrown with ivy and other vines. Still somewhat clear of the higher vegetation surrounding its boarders. The inhabitants long removed by the passage of time but new settlers occupy the cracks and crevices. Insects chirp and cry out into the night.
As amphibious bats and other nocturnal creatures answer. Amongst all that stirred came another light but profound sound. A trickling of water which lead to a fountain. While cracked and ravaged by time. The structure stood alone in it's mostly intact state amongst the ruin. Clear water as pure as any stream still flowing through it's spout. Lilies and a few tiny fish finding residence within.
Opening:
Such an untouched paradise which the nature had reclaimed. Pure and holy was this lasting Eden. Though such was a becon for those who seek to corrupt and deal in the dark. Which was likely the reasoning for the females appearance. The purity of the land summoning her like a fly to honey.
With the appearance of the female came a brief hush. Not even the insects seemed willing to reveal their location. An unusual fear fell upon the land, the presence of this woman. It disturbed the very ground which she stood upon. The world in this moment held its breath. Waiting to see her next move.
Appearing quite out of place amongst the surrounding she found herself within. The mysterious female was adorned in a matching suit. Black on black with a white tie to off set the balance in dark colors. Her medium length ebony locks feathered like that of a ravens wings. A pair of black rimmed bifocals adorn her features. Set upon the bridge of her nose. Which an index finger came up to adjust to their proper position. Lenses magnify such intense sapphire irises which appeared to glow in the dim night.
Taking in a small inhale seemed to catch the air in every throat. Eyes closed for but a brief moment. Long thick black lashes lift to reveal those piercing eyes. An exhale leaving parting lips which form a small smile. As her exhale came so to did the world. As the moment of silence was now past. All the familiar sounds of the valley at night returned. Her gaze shifting amongst the ruined village. As small strides brought her statuesque form through the overgrown streets and alleyway. Onward she walked until she came to the entrance of the ancient temple. Yes, this was where she needed to be. Once more did her heels click against the ground, an ominous sound ringing out in the silence of the night.
