Credit Discussion

Hello. :D
Im new here, and I would have written an introduction thread, but I dont really know what to put in it.

Anyways, back to the point of this thread... I want to stay pretty realistic with my characters purchases here, and keep whatever she gets within a reasonable amount for her IC. I was just wondering about how much credits are worth. For instance, how much would a small, light freighter cost on average, or just a blaster pistol? Just to give me a good idea as to how much everything is.
I obviously dont want a compiled list of everything on the site, just a few examples to put me on the right track.

(Also, sorry if this isnt supposed to go here)

Some things will have prices, others, not. Ships can be devising, for example I bought a 100,000 credit ship that looked 40,000. Most small ships are around 10-20,000, and blasters, pistols ect are a good 1-5,000 for the most basic supply.

Then the cost of living will also be added to that, but most people don't worry about it. We just keep everything semi-reasonable to our character's current history. For example, if you own a small company you don't instantly have a million dollars, but if you own a tier 6 company (high tier) you could be a billionaire without knowing.

Trust your own judgement.

[member="Zia Jade"] - We don't use credits. (I'll explain as you've probably noticed The Marketplace.) We use handwavium. Every character is assumed to make as much money as their writer says they do. Whether they be military, Sith, Jedi, smuggler, or your local vegetables entrepreneur. You make, and spend, as much as you want. In fact, every adventurer is assumed to possess both vast wealth and scant resources. For while a Jedi Knight makes no weekly paycheck? He can most certainly call upon his dozens of wealthy, royal, and indebted contacts to procure items for himself very easily. So it is with the common slave girl too. For while she is little more than an item herself? She is only one adventure away from finding the entire lost fortune of Jabba the Hutt. Woot woot! Instantly vaulting herself from dusty slave girl to wealthy patron! ...In nothing less than 20 posts.

In closing. Don't you worry about those credits lassy. Make whatever purchases you feel comfortable with. Oh? And if you suddenly feel prompted to run out to buy a Death Star today? Well. We'll all celebrate with you by blowing it up tomorrow. Lulz. Cheers and happy posting. :D :p

I try to not do what Jay said, only have the money through logical reasons. However, it is true.

But if you want to keep to the logic, weaponry can be anywhere from 500-5000 credits, or even more for the more powerful weapons. Ships of small size about 10x that. Medium? 20. Large? 100.

However, it all ranges. For examples? AEL? Their items are worth millions. My company Merr-Sonn, which makes weapons and ships, sells most for cheap. I believe my cheapest is 600... can't remember.
