There weren't many ways to make a legal credit in the depths of Coruscant, in fact most credits gained legally probably passed through a dozen illegal transfers to get there, as such many turned their hands to the easier, less legal way to earn money, and as such lived in riches and squalor.
Lanta was not such a person so instead lived in poverty and squalor, currently sat on a street corner begging for credits or food, his face downcast and caked in dirt and grime from his life in the depths.
