Creed Of The Black Hands of Justice
No Target Is Worth Your Life
As a member of the Black Hands of Justice, your self-preservation takes precedent over any target you are ordered to hunt by the members of the Black Rose Council.
If the target, at any time, is beyond the possibility of claiming without putting your own life at risk, then you must either choose another setting for which to bring the target to justice; or simply abandon the target and pursue it another day.
Capture First, Kill Second
When assigned a target to bring to justice, you're first priority is to make every attempt possible to capture the target. We are not judges, juries, and executioners. We do not make the judgement call to kill.
In the event all efforts to capture the target, and they pose a threat to you, you are authorized to eliminate them. But only if capture is beyond the realm of possibilities.
At times the Black Council will assign a 'kill on sight' edict to a target. If such a target you are tracking possess such a tag, then the capture first is overridden.
Treatment of Captured Targets
At times, you will be sent out to bring targets that have fled the territory of the Order of the Black Rose as well as being dispatched to governed worlds. At no time should any captured target be tortured, abused (mentally and physically), refused medical treatment, or nourishment.
While they are in your custody, you are responsible for their well being. You will transport them without harm.
Aid and Assistance
Certain targets will require more than one Black Hand to bring them in. In the event paths are crossed, aid and assistance is mandatory. There is no competition between the Black Hands of Justice.
If a fellow brother or sister Black Hand is in danger, you are mandated to help them. Grudges, drama, or bad blood will arise among the members of the Black Hands; but while on assignment all issues between members are void.
Targets are Acquisitions Only
The targets that are assigned to the Black Hand are acquisitions. Most targets have committed some sort of atrocity for the Black Hand to be sent after them. In eyes of the Black Rose Council, such targets have forfeited their rights.
However, if a target has committed an act that affects your personal feelings on the matter, and you are assigned the target; you will not make it a personal matter. Politics and 'hard feelings' have no place among the Black Hands.
