Criminals and Last Standers

The GADF had a lot of different people in it. Right now, the one of any concern was Master Sergeant Ryn Ryl, a Sullustan quartermaster for the GADF armies. Well, the Quartermaster. He had heard down the grapevine that Tenloss, that company that was infamous in stories htat he had heard for being crime and Hutt run, had something the Alliance could use. The goal was to meet with the leadership of the company, make a purchase, sign the contract and get back to Sullust.

He really didn’t want to be traveling to the Bajic Sector. He was flanked by a Jedi that the Alliance just so needed to attach to him, as well as one fireteam of snipers and intelligence officers. It was a pretty simple job, but they wanted him to take more than he wanted.

The derelict freighter was landing and he was quickly escorted to the offices to await a call from the one known as @Popo.

Who might be a hippopotamus, or a Hutt King.

Popo

He was a bit bigger than a hippopotamus and humble enough not to really consider himself a king in any right, but a Hutt he was and a company he ran. Companies needed sales to make money, but to grow required much more. Sure, you can sell millions of credits worth of merchandise, but that was a more or less liquid income; a kind that ebbed and flowed with the market. To solidify your hold in the corporate world, you needed foundation and foundation came in the form of expansion. Contracts with major groups meant a solid line of credits and a whole lot of legitimacy and clout in the market.

The Galactic Alliance had expressed interest in Tenloss merchandise and had requested a meeting with Popo to discuss a potential contract, something he was keen on signing. And so he'd taken a ship to the Bajic sector to one of the Tenloss offices there to meet with the GA representative sent to speak to him.

Word reached him that his guests were waiting in one of the offices of the complex, which was fine enough to discuss paperwork and sign forms, but if they wanted a real idea of what they were buying that wouldn't do at all.

He gave orders to the secretary that had notified him that his guests were to be politely escorted down to the large and currently empty vehicle bay, the one he was the current and sole occupant of at the moment. He also made sure that the secretary would send refreshments and chairs down as well.

Because no live fire demonstration was complete without champagne and finger foods to enjoy while sitting and watching things explode.

Sullustans and Hutts, this was definitely a situation that was only really found out on some border world, unless there was official business. Ryn Ryl was looking around and taking not of where his ship was, and where the team was to go. He was followed by an astromech, one of the older ones, an R series, black and gold. The unit had the means to provide Ryl with what he needed, permissions and pre-approved credits for dispersal to the Hutt and Tenloss, if the deal was sweet enough.

Of course, it also meant that Tenloss had zero dealings with the companies that the Alliance felt needed to be dismantled and the peoples freed. That meant the Sith and the Imperials, the Techno Union… well, they weren’t bothering anything too much. Tenloss had some decent gear, but a bit more in-depth meeting was going to be required. That was why Ryl was here. He was briefed on what the Alliance would approve and reject, and was here to at least see if anything, a deal or otherwise, could be made.

Ryl was escorted to the empty bay and the group stood behind him, allowing him to lead his way to the Hutt. “Thank you for seeing us.”

Simple, right?

"Not at all, thank you for taking the time to visit," Popo said graciously, his deep voice rumbling as he spoke. He gestured to the rapidly placed table of refreshments and the chairs laid out in neat rows next to the group. "Please, help yourself. There are hors d'oeuvres and chilled beverages should you so desire. Once you are all comfortable, I will give the signal to begin the demonstration."

It wasn't every day that Popo scheduled a live fire drill for potential buyers. Generally, he handed out statistics or used them in the field himself where the public could see them rather than take the time to individually show the materials off. For this instance, however, he had deemed it necessary to conduct a demonstration for his potential buyers. For one, the faction they represented was newer to the galaxy and had never confronted nor utilized Tenloss troops equipped with the best Tenloss had to offer. For two, it was a new faction and one that was gearing up for a long term conflict with the Sith, one that would be successful more so than the Republic's attempts in the past. These pushed the Shell Hutt into the decision to show the weapons personally and so he had.

He waited patiently for the moment. Once all were comfortable, he would begin the demonstration.
