Crisis

Hello One Sith family. It has probably gone unnoticed but the last couple of weeks or so my appearances have been sporadic at best, this is due to many number of things. One of those things may be a battle with depression, it isn't the first time I've had to deal with such an issue and will undoubtedly not be the last but I'm making an effort to fight back and in that effort I wanted to address a conflict that specifically pertains to the board and my efforts to consistently Write and write well with everyone.

As the title of this post states, I'm having a crisis. A crisis of identity. When I put Salvor on the boards here at chaos, it was with the intention of further realizing a vision of a character that is 3 years in the making and from an entirely different era of not only the Star Wars universe but my own life.

I came in looking to make this character into something specific, the only problem is I can figure out what that something is and for a while now that has led to frustration and poor half butt writing that combined with my mental state has given me a perceived lack of muse.

But I am determined to change that, to find not only my muse but to find my identity. To take my lack of direction and use it as my character's compass. Being lost is now how I plan to find my way.

I realize there is nothing wrong with not knowing where Salvor should go or is going, because how could he? He is little more than a child and in his heart he is still a slave, never before has had to find his own way or make choices that effect his life, but that all changes starting now.

I have an idea of where this character is going to go, all I'm asking from anyone who reads this is a bit of help where you can spare it.

My idea while most likely simple and clichéd is take Salvor and make him into little more than your typical tool of destruction. It seems the most logical choice given his history and distinct lack of ability to think for himself at the moment. Will his character archetype change? Hopefully so but for now I'm happy just having a goal.

The help I'm asking for from you my friends is in the area of training and character growth. Recently Salvor "earned" a promotion to Knight rank and in more ways than one that was a blessing. I would very much like to bounce from trainer to trainer picking up whatever skills I can. I'm talking from the biggest and most powerful Sith masters to the newest and greenest acolytes. If you feel like you have a skill that can be learned I would love for is to gets together.

And if entirely possible I would like to be able to potentially go "nomad" for a while and try and pick up training tips from all over the board, with my true loyalty always being to the One Sith of course.

I realize I kind of just rambled on there, but it's late and I couldn't stop thinking that my actions recently have been semi selfish, and I caught this sudden burst of energy and felt like spilling my guts in the most incoherent way possible.

On my phone so ill make this short.

Developing a character is for me the funnest thing to do. Do what you want with it, find masters apprentices, friends, etc... Just have fun with it and don't be strict on yourself.

As for the Nomad thing, thats fine witb us. If your true loyalties lay with the One Sitb you'll find you'll always be welcomed with open arms.

Depends on their level of betrayel.

But generally, lets just say you would not want to meet Mierin afterward.
