Masquerading as a staunch Imperial to the point even he believes it, Crix Halcorr is in reality a spiteful, confused has-been who has always pursued his own selfish agenda for prestige. He was part of the naval element that had committed the Base Delta Zero on Noris to slow the Maw's crusade towards the New Imperial Order's worlds. For his role in this ruthless campaign, he was rewarded with a captain's commission.
Following his promotion, he spent the remainder of his career in the Unknown Regions, fighting the Brotherhood of the Maw through the vast, unchartered stars. During this time, he gained significant knowledge of Path Engines, how to navigate the Paths, and the Maw's ship designs and tactics.
