Baboon with a MAAWS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Mon Calamari Cities: Almost identical to those found on Mon Calamari itself, located in shallower waters, many have surface access where there are trading ports and spaceports for shipping their catch.
Quarren Cities: Almost identical to those found on Mon Calamari itself, located in deep-sea trenches.
Fisheries: Deep sea fisheries are primarily the Quarren hunting squids and other deep-sea creatures, shallower it's the Mon Calamari fishing schools of boney fishes.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
A very old colony formed for the purpose of bringing in potential former Separatist Quarren engineers fleeing the Empire and then later, Mon Calamari engineers. Its watery status occurred due to a miscalculation, a form of corporate sabotage against the terraforming company contracted to oversee the process that saw Crossroads-14 turn into a mostly-unusable water world, unsuitable to Human habitation en masse. But their refugee relocation agency hatch a plan to use their water world to lure in potential strategic assets from war-torn Mon Calamari. This ploy worked somewhat, with many millions of both species arriving during the Galactic Civil War. However there were no genius engineers among them at first, but after the war ended many chose to seek out new opportunities, and some started their own small firms. Their descendants continue to run those firms to this day, and are often contracted to develop shielding technologies for the Crossroads military. However, these insular technology firms make up a small but sizeable portion of Crossroads-14's economy, which is primarily based in food production and underwater farming of shellfish. Like other Crossroads colonies it possesses a planetary shield.

- Description: A water-world, with only a handful of small specks of land. There are large Mon Calamari cities below the surface of the rather frigid world and there are large fish stocks and squid stocks with which most either harvest or are involved in the harvest of, forming the bulk of the economic activity on the world. Like other Crossroads colonies they have a moon-spanning shield generator system to protect it. Has several batteries of CDI "Fury III" Heavy Anti-Orbital Missiles for defending the moon and its populace as well as making any fight to take the moon far too costly to be worth the possible advantage. They are placed on landmasses that are off-limits to civilians.
