  • Description: A small moon colony with domed cities and towns. Each of them have decent manufacturing bases, with various civilian industrial centers and some military production plants building vehicles, weapons, equipment, and supplies. There's no atmosphere, and the surface is mostly gray and pockmarked with impact craters and the towns and cities are domed with very well-endowed with greenery with lots of parks, manicured medians, and yards for them. The overall purpose of this colony, like many others, is to create a bit of a small-town feel for the inhabitants who wish to live a quiet life. There's also large botanical domes, growing some exotic fruits and vegetables and some have pastures for more exotic livestock to get extra money. There are packing plants for these products for shipment out to other trade ports. Large surface mines mostly run by droids and small biological crews. All artificial gravity where people live is kept at 2.8G by law, but the botanical gardens are kept at their crops' or livestocks' natural state. Like other Crossroads colonies they have a moon-spanning shield generator system to protect it. Like other Crossroads colonies they have a moon-spanning shield generator system to protect it. Has several batteries of CDI "Fury III" Heavy Anti-Orbital Missiles for defending the moon and its populace as well as making any fight to take the moon far too costly to be worth the possible advantage.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Domed trade cities
: Well-built domes of durasteel and transparisteel with a mix of short skyscrapers, apartment blocks, and commercial and residential districts no different to most other towns on Crossroads Prime. Has its artificial gravity set to 2.8G by law. Connected to other domes by enclosed roads and by hover train lines.
Large botanical domes: Well-built domes of durasteel and transparisteel with advanced environmental controls for their crops and livestock and the artificial gravity varies according to the crops or livestock.
Hope University: A large dome which is a city unto itself, it is a center of great artistic and liberal arts learning, although it has respectable theoretical and experimental science programs ranging from physics, to chemistry, to biology, to everything else in between. Most graduates are usually wanting to become teachers or professors.
Allistan University: A large dome which is a city unto itself, it is a center of great scientific research and has large labs with some very rare scientific equipment and produces a large number of brilliant engineers. Like any other university it also has large dormitories, large numbers of lecture halls, and libraries along with other non-specialized buildings for other majors. Some excellent teachers and lawyers get produced at this university.
Sinistali University: A large dome which is a city unto itself, it is a center of great artistic and architectural development and studies, most of its graduates excel in the fine arts with some civil engineers with artistic flairs. But also has a large and proud engineering and a very proud legal and political science department. Excellent teachers also get produced by this university.
Cobalt University: A smaller dome structure than the other universities. mostly-engineering school, specializing in material sciences and mining and fuel industry majors and careers. Students who graduate from here tend to go to work with the mining companies and fuel companies. There is also a very esteemed nuclear sciences, with students who graduate being able to work or design powerful reactors.
Crossroads-20 Merchant Pilots Academy: A complex dome structure with large numbers of classrooms, dormitories, and simulators for aspiring pilots and officers of merchant ships to learn the trade in a controlled and regulated space. The graduates from this academy are classified as either a 3rd Assistant Engineer or 3rd Deck Officer, positions in great demand in the civilian merchant fleet.
Crossroads-20 Army Officer's Academy: A mostly-underground facility with massive artificial environments big enough for dropships to be used in combat simulations. There are large classrooms, dormitories, and smaller simulators for practical training. The facility commissions 2nd Lieutenants after four years of classes and practical training.
Crossroads-20 Fleet Officer's Academy: A domed structure which has large classrooms, dormitories, and simulators which are mostly underground and each is a near-identical layout to each class of warship that the Crossroads Fleet operates. There are four years of classes that Midshipmen go through, and when they graduate as officers they are commissioned as Ensigns into the Crossroads Republic Fleet.
Crossroads-20 Fleet Flight School: A facility built mostly underground with vertical-exit hangars and extensive classrooms and simulators. This facility is a prime location for fleet pilots to go through their basic and then advanced flight training. Pilots that graduate from here are commissioned as Flight Lieutenants.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
One of a chain of fairly old colonies created by Crossroads to keep others from encroaching on their local space and built using newly-established methods and techniques developed by the New Start Colonization Firm. The primary colonists that settled here were from Crossroads Prime itself, they are and have since been fiercely loyal to the home government, and have been a fairly quiet and non-descript colony ever since. The primary claim to fame of this colony's history was the fact that they are one of the few small colonies whose elected politicians aren't in league with the Crossroads-17-based political coalition, preferring an allegiance politically to the much more powerful single party controlled on Crossroads Prime itself. This has led to significant strife between them and their sister colonies which had been created at roughly the same time, built the same way, and for roughly the same reasons. However, the original Crossroads-20 colonists were a unique brand of political allegiance dedicated to the improvement of higher education institutions and have been a major producer of higher education institutions, with more colleges and universities per capita than any other minor colony. It is this dedication to higher education that has led to them worming into the political hierarchy of the Republic, with many graduates going on to powerful positions, giving their colony much greater political weight than they have any right to.
