Baboon with a MAAWS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Oceans: Stormy and rich with life, most of the salt-water oceans are fairly deep. Constantly in a state of flux with high winds and dangerous wave conditions.
Cities: Cities built in the Coruscanti fashion of large sturdy skyscrapers and robust infrastructure. They have localized shield generators to protect against particularly dangerous weather conditions. As time has gone on they have a large amount of insulation and anti-freeze measures in place. The largest cities have bridges that connect sections of their cities with some tunnels in the mountains and hills where heavy speeder traffic traverses on a daily basis. These cities have factory complexes separated from the urban centers for manufacturing, and service industry businesses are the ones that are seen in downtown areas.
Medical Manufacturing Centers: These are CRAF facilities guarded by CRAF troops. They manufacture bacta using CDI Therapeutic Flash-Cloning Tanks to grow the Kavam Glands of Vratix and CDI Medical Extraction Tanks to harvest this chemical. They also manufacture Ambori liquid and harvest Alazhi Bacteria from Xoorzi fungus farms. Small medical manufacturing plants use a similar process to manufacture O+ blood and plasma from bone marrow grown and harvested from in these tanks. These products for humans and some small amounts of other bloods for other non-Human members of the military as well as for distribution to the hospitals and other medical facilities. All these facilities are in the frigid polar regions which are perpetually covered in snow and ice.
Strip-Mines: Large mines which pull out raw ore and send it to be refined into usable materials at more advanced metallurgical plants.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
A colony which was formed as a raw material source, but a Coruscanti colonization effort got there first. The colony flourished as large numbers of people flocked to get off of Coruscant and came to Crossroads-7. The colonists found they'd been bamboozled into going to a colony which had no real arable lands, so the colony turned to the Crossroads Republic and the mines and factories became the main source of employment for the people of Crossroads-7. Early on in its history there was a rebellion against Crossroads Prime sponsored by Core Worlds mining companies who thought they'd be able to muscle Crossroads Republic out of the productive mines and factories of Crossroads-7. But the rebels were put down in a vicious manner by government forces, forever severing any link that its populace had with the Core. Unrest and protests occur semi-frequently against the Crossroads Republic's authority, but rebellion is a not in the cards for the people of Crossroads-7 at the moment due to the fact the economy is good and the power of the Crossroads Republic's military forces is effective at keeping its various colonies firmly in line.

- Description: Crossroads-7 is the oldest of the Crossroads colonies, it is almost entirely covered in evergreen forests on great mountain ranges and stormy oceans. The winters in both hemispheres are rather harsh, and the summers are, at best, chilly and pleasant, with no real heat waves occurring anywhere except along the equatorial regions. Thanks to the winds and stormy seas the terraced cities are heavily lashed by cold wind, rain and snow. The rocky terrain of Crossroads-7 is dangerous, despite the terraforming efforts of its mostly-Coruscanti population which arrived shortly after Crossroads Prime was colonized. Most cities are terraced into the hills and mountains and are long and thin with large bridges stretching across the wooded valleys below them. Usually in these cities and towns the spaceports are at the highest point in the city. The polar regions are mostly uninhabited, and is home to several CRAF medical supply facilities. Its primary role is that of heavy industry and lighter industries, although environmental laws are strictly enforced on the factories and cities. There are also large mines which harvest large amounts of the raw materials for various metals and steels.
