Baboon with a MAAWS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Space Elevators linking the surface of Crossroads-9 to the shipyard. These elevators are large, and heavily-reinforced.
Bars, Clubs and Restaurants for the shipyard staff.
Well-equipped facilities for rapid and efficient production of ships ranging in size from shuttles to superfreighters which are enclosed within the large ring to protect them.
SECURITY
Medium There are evenly-spaced EM-2500 Twin Laser Cannon Turrets, "Dart" Missile Launchers, and J-28 and J-32 Proton Cannon Turrets in six-gun batteries able to handle the attack of large warships. Although its defensive weapons aren't its primary means of defending itself, its shields are more than capable of handling heavy capital ship bombardment. There are permanently-stationed Crossroads Republic Marine units on the shipyard ring for anti-boarder defense, along with a large number of Starlight Shipyards-owned "Sentinel" and "Sentry" droids and private security personnel who handle day-to-day facility security. There are security headquarters in certain areas where security is monitored and coordinated from.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
A newer facility, having been completed for a century after being built for more than fifty years. It's a key strategic asset of Starlight Shipyards, which is where the vast majority of their ships have been built since then. The shipyards are also a favored location for the Crossroads military to conduct wargames on how to assault or how to defend a large shipyard facility. Each year, the Crossroads military requires the shipyards to produce a small number of warships to maintain the shipyard workers' ability to be able to produce warships in the event that they have to be called into action to produce warships.
- Intent: To create the large orbital shipyard ring around Crossroads-9.

- Shipyards Name: Crossroads-9 Orbital Shipyards
- Classification: Orbital Ring Shipyards
- Location: Crossroads-9
- Affiliation: Starlight Shipyards
- Population: Moderately Staffed
- Accessibility: Difficult to access due to heavily-guarded security hangars, and the fact the only method for workers to enter is the orbital elevators that anchor the shipyard ring to the moon. Shipyard personnel need to pass through several security checkpoints but aren't military-grade, although their security measures still involve fingerprint-scans, iris-scans, and all personnel pass through scanners.
- Description: A sleek and effective design, built in sections and assembled in orbit built to closely follow the guideline and blueprints of the Kuat Drive Yards Orbital Array, albeit with modern shielding and materials, as well as modern computer systems and other such necessities. Its capabilities are meant to match KDY, so the construction copies KDY's primary facility. Its only blueprint difference is its size and the fact it is anchored to the moon by space elevators.
- Production: Large numbers of large and small civilian freighters, as well as large numbers of smaller yachts, and large cruise liners. There are contingencies in place to begin producing Crossroads warships in the event of an emergency industrial mobilization.
- Specialty: Civilian shipyard, specializes in quality ships which fulfill their roles with great efficiency.
- Output: They produce ships quite quickly, although they produce yachts and cruise liners at a much slower rate due to the complexity of such ships.
- Market: They produce ships for the open market.
